The cast DOES look pretty good. At least Dinah looks about her age this time :D Can't say that I've heard of too many of the actors though.
EDIT: The disclaimer at the bottom suggests that it's a fan-film. Woo!
Cassie looks a little too old and burnt out though...

No, no. I'm right along there with ya. When I picked up 'A Knight Alone' last week I could've sworn she was Asian too.
Fanfilm means no expectations, aside to be slightly better than the show. (Awww, but I did have a giggle at the show when it was on :p )

It means a lot that you think that some of the cat looks right for the part.
And to all those who are upset about Batgirl, I searched a long time for an asian woman to portray her. Unfortunately, there werent any takers in the Pittsburgh area. But as a true fan, I will make sure that this film will be true to all of its loyal fanbase. Ive already taken longer than expected to cast Deathstroke. But, Im hoping that in the long run it will be worth the wait.
Any questions from the fans, let me know. I will take your input and advice for when we start filming in August.

*still bummed that Cass isn't Asian* :( Surely there's an Asian theatre groups in Pittsburg that have a gal or two that would like to play Cass! I used to be in drama when I was in HS and I was absolutely BUMMED that it never seemed like there was a role that called for an Asian... unless it was an Asian that wrote it! This seems like a fun opportunity for a willing participant. Although kudos for the rest of the casting -- they look great!

I did my best. I looked for over a month. Theatre groups. Models. You name it.
It came down to a couple factors. I could get hung up on the racial factor and not have an actress to portray Cassie Cain. Or, find an actress who was so driven to portray her that people would most likely forget about it and love her for her devotion. I chose the latter. Depending on what happens, she might portray Batgirl again in an upcoming spinoff we are planning for next year. But we will probably be casting an asian role again for Lady Shiva.

J-Bolt is a really bad con man with delusions of grandeur, who's tried for years to pass himself off as a successful comic writer/artist and movie producer after producing neither a comic or movie.
Find any thread here with " J-Bolt " in the title or look up " Bombshell ( 2005 ) " the movie at IMdB and take it from there.

Hey everyone
Last night we had our second costume fitting for Laura Kidwell. We are using the current Black Canary costume. We have to make a few more adjustments to it but we will have another fitting for her on Sunday. The next two costumes are Huntress and Batgirl. The first fittings for both should be next week. In case anyone is wondering, we are not using latex rubber for any of the costumes. All of the women's costumes are spandex except Canary's. Her costume is vinyl. As soon as a costume becomes completed we will take pics of our heroines and put them on the website. But I noticed since everyone saw Laura and went a little nuts, she was the one we had to finish first.
One more thing, a teaser trailer should be ready by either the end of March or early April.

Well, Im not going to make any money off of it. And the actors have volunteered their time to do this. So, technically, I can continue to do it as long as neither myself or those around me profit in anyway from it. And I think DC and WB have better things to do than give up some FREE publicity. Plus, lots of people have done fan films of the DC charecters. Sandy Collara has done 2 films using Batman and both have looked better than any of the WB films.
I got a question for the fans here..in the script is a flashback for Black Canary that shows the breakup between her and Green Arrow. It also implies a past relationship with Green Lantern. Im wondering how everyone will take it.
The green lantern thing could work. Have you read JLA: Year One? He tried hitting on her a few times when they first formed the JLA, but she ended up having the hots for Flash in that collection.
I wouldnt worry too much about the DC thing, it's not like you'll be eating into the viewership of the ultra successful BOP tv series...oh wait. :D
Now if you were looking for trouble, try naming your film 'Bombshell'....

Anyway, I dont plan for the break up to be much different. But the moment I want to catch is them on the same team together still trying to focus on doing their jobs. A few people have suggested I show the two of them working out together and Canary letting it all go. To me, thats a woman scorned getting some revenge.
I was wondering if you got my meaning. ;)

Don't recall seeing a seal at the fittings.
But, if youre referring to the script getting out, It hasnt and wont. So far the script is on two jump drives ONLY.
I havent printed it out yet and wont until our first cast meeting on April 3rd.
We are also going to put up a message board ASAP. I want people to be able to write to us and request films or a series that they would like to see that isnt being done. So far there have been two that have been brought to my attention. X-Force and Justice League. And I was considering doing both sometime in the future.

Sorry about that "seal" thing. Couldn't resist. I think you're referring to Batgirl's cowl (mask). The mask wont be latex rubber like in the Batman movies. It will be made of a hard fabric called buckram and will be in at least 2 or 3 sections. The mouthguard will be separate and be removable. This will also let her get out of the thing easily. it will have 3 to 4 small slits in the mouth guard which will be covered on the inside by a small plastic grate. You'll be able to see the outer slits, but not her mouth moving at all.

By X-Force, do you mean the Rob Liefeld experiment of excess and questionale quality art from the 90s or the newer X-Statix version? The latter would rock.

I was never a fan of X-Statix. I tried. I really did. But I loved X-Force. I dont mean the disaster it became. I mean the butt kicking book it started out to be. At one point there was no doubt in my mind that the original X-Force couldve taken on just about any X-Men foes and won. They were fully prepared for just about anything (Thanks to Cable). However, they became week and the writing became bad. I would try to bring it back to its former glory with the originals (Cannonball, Meltdown, Cable, Domino, Warpath, Shatterstar & Feral). Lots of guns, lots of intrigue, and extreme action. Thats how they were meant to be. X-Statix just isnt that. But if enough people wanted it, I would consider it.
Will you be including their feet in the scenes?
Go on, break the mold! ;) lol

I like the John Stewart/BC idea. It'd be fun to see Ollie's reaction.
I honestly don't picture John and Dinah long term (I think, in the end, they aren't successful relationship people) but I think it could be as fun as Aquaman and Wonder Woman's flirtations and still MUCH better than Ollie.

I think it would explain a lot. But it will only be hinted at. But feel good for me.
Cuz I get to be John Stewart. But, it wont be how everyone is thinking. The relationship will be a secret one. More than likely because Stewart has always considered himself to be THE professional. Not showing his feelings. Not letting on who he cares about. So being with Canary is probably nerve wracking.
