I'm in!
What happens if you win James? You get 50 dollars of graphic novels?

Yep! It's $50 of your choice of Oni TPBs and/or OGNs. Second place is $25 dollars worth and third is a single TPB or OGN (no hardcovers) of your choice.

What I meant was what do YOU - James Lucas- get if YOU - Jame Lucas - win? Don't you have all the TPBs and OGNs Oni has?

The satisfaction of beating Neal Shaffer. ;)
Neal and I are just in for fun. If either of us place in the Top 3, we'll bump the prizes down to the next place.

I'm in on this too. My bracket last year totally kicked ass; wish I'd been in a contest with that one, I'd've wiped the floor with everyone!
As I'm doing the unemployed thing, I'll be able to watch the whole kaboodle. Got a taste of it last week with the ACC and other conference tournaments. Of course, in past years I've taken time off work to watch the NCAAs, such is the level of my basketball madness -- going to a university in North Carolina will do that to you.

Hey Scott! I'm a HUGE Tarheel fan ever since I saw them beat Bobby Knight and Indiana when I was a kid at the Garden! Where did you go to school?

NC State, finished my degree in 2000. That area, having NCSU, Duke, and UNC, plus the smaller schools and such, is just batshit-crazy for basketball.
Happily NCSU just pulled the (minor) upset of Charlotte today and are on to the bigger challenge of Connecticut Sunday. Who they played a couple years back in the tourney and came *that* close to upsetting. I'm not sure if the selection committee set this rematch up intentionally or not...
(And the rest of my bracket has sustained minor damage but nothing critical... though Louisville put a scare into me for sure.)

The nice thing about the big upsets is that they upset just about everyone. It happened with Alabama, and then today with Syracuse.
I'm still in the running, as I always am at this point every year. A week from now, I'll be crying in my soup about What Could Have Been.

And Kansas lost to Bucknell to give us the triumvirate of upsets.
Whoo Hoo! Go Catamounts of Vermont!

I can't believe that picked the most games, almost picked the final score of the final game (off by 2), and I lost this contest by 1 point! And I entered the same bracket in another pool and the same thing happened! D'oh!
O well. All af that is of secondary importance because
UNC WON!!!!! :D

Well, I think you do get the first-place prize too, Jamie, since Neal writes for Oni so he's taking himself out of the prizes. So Yay! for you... but Neal still gets the right to taunt you for falling one point short. ;)
This moves me up to third place prize too (losing the final-game-score tiebreaker to Mark). I missed out thanks to Illinois pulling off their big run to the final game. If Arizona hadn't choked on that 15 point lead in the final minutes of the regional final I think I would have been guaranteed first-place tie at the least. Blah.
Oh well, twas a very good tournament and great final game to watch.

Really? COOL! :D Yeah, I'll take all the taunts in the world and won't mind a bit because the 'Heels pulled it off!
I was shocked at that Arizona game. That whole weekend was unreal, and then the Final Four and Final Game were sooo well played. If Felton doesn't get that steal I might be cryin' still! ;)
Now... what books to pick???
