Did anyone else read the blurb in this month's Wizard Magazine movie issue that stated FOX is working on show based on Fables? I am not sure how I feel about this. I will admit, FOX has a few decent shows, but, in my opinion, most of their programming is pretty bad. I guess it will all come down to the directing, producing and acting. I just hope the FOX executives keep Kelsey Grammer out of the whole project.

i would be very interested in seeing that, depending on who worked on it. though i'll agree, they've had their share of stinkers over history, FOX has also taken alot of chances on programs that were really great (unfortunately, for most that was kinda a "great - while they lasted" thing.) i would honestly have more faith in FOX to make it a good show than any other station...of course that's not really saying much.

It'll be an awesome show, given the Friday night time slot, and cancelled after a month.

And then the cycle begins anew...

You don't need to be a Star Trek fan to know UPN is a dead-end network. I can't remember the last time a major hit came from either them or the WB; they simply don't have a good track record.

Besides, the crappiness of Star Trek was Paramont's fault, UPN just saw the writing on the wall.

Buffy and Angel ring a bell?

It would be cool to see Fables on the small screen. FOX has a nice effects budget, but their support of genre shows has been waning over the last few years. Don't get your hopes up.

On the plus side, after the show gets cancelled after four episodes air, and after an arduous fan campaign, they'll release the 9 or 10 shows they actually filmed on a DVD like Firefly, Wonderfalls, and The Tick.

Buffy and Angel ring a bell?

That's what popped into my mind when I read that.

Not so much, not my kind of shows. I said I couldn't recall one. I didn't say there never was one.

And UPN is by far the crappier of the pair in that duet.

Still, I think looking at the networks as a whole (or even since UPN and WB debuted) they've had less hit shows than the major networks, and what hit shows they did have weren't as highly rated as the big three's shows. I have no clue what Fox's numbers are like these days.

Wonder Falls was actually a GREAT show.
