I need some highly knowledgeable folks to write anime & manga reviews for my website www.livewireworld.com. If you know your stuff and want to share it, send me a sample at slively@livewireworld.com. In addition to having reviews posted on site, they will be included in a monthly newsletter.

That's pretty broad. You mind giving a little focus, you see, Manga and Anime are mediums. Much like television and comics are mediums in America. there are people who know a whole lot of general info about various shows, or there are die hard fans who know a lot about one specific genre within the medium. For example: Science Fiction buffs know a lot about science fiction. Star Trek nerds know a whole lot about Star Trek. A fan of Akira Toriyama will know of all of his stuff, but may not know about contemporary greats like Ogure Ito (Oh! Great). Then there is the bigger genre picture of Manga and Anime... which cators to specific demographics, i.e. age groups, genders, etc. Is your target audience Manga and Anime fans in general? Comic fans? Movie fans? Fans of YAOI, fans of Shojo, Shonen, or all of the above?

It's easier to have a more specific assigment than "Write about manga/ainme". You see, I've been writing for a long time about the history, and sociopolitical aspects of manga. So in many regards, I know much more about the mode and formula of the medium. If you want people who can give you character stats and bios of Dragon Ball Z, or whatever else you're selling, then please say so. It would be a great help to all of us writers.

A lot can encompass a review. How are you approaching the medium? By the looks of your site the reviews will be for a sales pitch. Sell the product. Is there going to be pay for such a position, you didn't mention it, but since it looks like a business one would assume. I am curious, and I'm sure other writers may be too. If you've like my writing so far, thanks.

Wow.
What I am looking for is somone who enjoys watching anime/reading manga and feels that he or she has a unique insight to offer others who might be looking for something new and interesting to watch/read. The reviews or articles should be geared toward an audience who is just discovering these mediums, or who have a few favorites and are looking for more. The reviews would not be sales pitches. The reviewer is free to write about products I don't have in inventory or could write a negative opinion of something I do sell as long as the review is fair and balanced. The average visitor to my site would probably not be interested in the sociopolitical aspects of either medium, only whether someone else liked it or not and why.

There is no pay. I'm merely offering an outlet for aspiring writers looking for an audience. Hope this helps clarify my intentions. :)

I'm interested.

I'll be in touch.

By no means do I consider myself a manga/anime "expert". I'm 39 years old and work as a Reference Librarian. I was also an english major in college. If anything, I know how to string words together into coherent sentences.

I've written manga/anime reviews elsewhere and I'd certainly enjoy writing more of them for anyone who's interested in reading them.

I've been an active fan of this material for roughly five years or so. Many titles and creators interest me. I'm just a guy who likes this material and likes writing about it.

See what you think of my reviews and I'd be happy to contribute.
