I'm not ashamed to admit, that at 45 I love to watch Pokemon. I began to watch during a long hospital stay in 2002, they didn't have cable at that time and soon became a fan. I've seen most of the episodes that have been shown on Cartoon Network & KidsWB. I know it's a kiddie show and can sometimes be simplistic, but it is still fun to watch. :D With the release of Yu-Gi-Oh & Shaman King unedited and subtitled, perhaps they will do the same with Pokemon, but I'm not holding my breath. :p

I watch pokemon every now and then, but its basically the same four or 5 episodes over and over with just different setting and pokemon. It gets board fast.
Yugioh I like to watch the Kids WB version because its so terrible that its funny. Its quite enjoyable to mock while I'm babysitting, the kiddies love my act. :p
Personally I'm more of a Digimon and Dragon Drive guy myself.

I actually liked the first 3-4 seasons of Pokemon, enjoyed watching it, but now it pains me to even look at the intro.
Digimon and Monster Rancher have shown me heaven and I cannot go back anymore :(

Heh, I used to work at the grade school where my daughter went & got myself in trouble with the principle for trading Pokemon cards with the kids after school in the parking lot.
I know WAY too much about it for a woman of my age.
How dare you call me an adult!

I love the light hearted adventure feel to Pokemon. The friendship, bonding, and learning together make it fun for kids. I think it's *cheese factor is due to the English dub, but you have to absolutely love TEAM ROCKET! My favorite dynamic duo, or trio, or Wabba! Also the movies are fun to look at. High quality animation, and the 3rd Pokemon movie ran just like a RAY Bradburry sci fi. Wonderful.

Hi, my name is OzBat! and I'm .... I'm....
I'm a closet adult pokemon fan!
*sigh*!
Truth to tell, my kids are fanatics, but it probably doesn't help with Dad being the comics fan, either. The Pokemon craze was probably over in Australia before we got to it, too!
Since then, we've picked up the gameboy games second hand, I've been on an eBay streak picking up the VIZ comics and videos of the early series, and we watch the cartoons whenever they hit the screens. Series 6 has just started being released on DVD so we're getting those, and we've got all the movies.
Fun side fact: my son was a classic "slow starter" with his reading development. Wouldn't pick up a book at all. But then, I found... the Scholastic novelisations of the Pokemon tv series! Been backissue hunting them, and the little Oz almost literally inhales them, he's so keen! 24 issues later, and he's gone from near last, to a year ahead, of all his school peers...
[Parent Endorsement]"And that's why I think Pokemon are great! Thank you Pokemon!"[/Parent Endorsement] :D

yea I have the Viz pokemon comics.
Those are actually pretty kewl, I liked them alot better than the anime but thats mostly cause Ash is competant in the comics and it doesn't feel like 1step forward 2steps back like in the anime.
Its a shame they never produced more.

Well, we picked up the main VIZ series, but now we're hunting the "Pokemon Adventures" series which is based more on the Gameboy storyline, following "Red" and "Blue" (and "Green"! How come Green never got released downunder, huh? huh??). I've seen these in two formats: one standard comic, and the other oversized with a harder cardboard cover. We're slowly picking these up as they show their heads on eBay...
