Sadly, I have not had any more dreams about this girl and I still can't figure out who she is. I've had disturbing dreams over the years that I've just kind of had to let go because I realize, there's nothing I can do about it if I don't have enough information from the dream. I do hope I don't actually know this girl. I was thinking about the dream again today and it was bugging me a bit but I just can't "see" her face.
Oh well. No more rape dreams damnit!!!!! Grrrrrrrrrr. I want to dream about fluffy kittens and bunnies and lots of clouds.
:)
Well, I know what you mean because sometimes my dreams come true too. God won't ever give you a dream without backing it up with the word of God. I do hope that dream does not come true. My dreams appear so ral to me at times and they scare me for the reason being that I don't want it to come true.
Speaking about Clouds, you'll hopefull dream about that everyday and be at Cloud nine :D :p

So, I'm at this concert at my old, old, old elementary school. Everyone is standing around listening to the music when all of a sudden these giant cars start driving through the crowd, causing a lot of wreckage and destruction. I choose to slip off somewhere a bit safer, and run off towards the back of the school. Once I get there, I find a motley bunch of criminals planning a heist. One of them spots me and tells me that I've already heard too much, and have to help them with their plot if I don't want to die. Fortunately, I'll be awarded a cut of their profits if I help out, so I agree.
I forget what exactly I ended up doing, but it involved stealing a bunch of papers from the elementary school teacher's office and keeping them in my house. Anyway, the other guys do their part as well, and they duly send me my portion of the haul. I'm pretty pleased, and decide to treat all of my friends to a night on the glamorous New Jersey Board Walk. As we're walking around, I notice a vendor selling large, pineapple-sized diamonds. I decide to stop off and buy one for my girlfriend; now, being pineaplle-sized diamonds, these things are pretty expensive, so I just give the merchant all the money I have. Much to my horror though, once my girlfriend lays her hands on it, she's sucked in. Reasonably enough, this makes me sad, and I sink into a state of mopey depression.
We now skip forward a few weeks, to another concert at my old elementary school. I'm sitting next to some girl, looking glum and holding her hand, while a guy in a tweed suit calmly explains to me that in between scenes, my friends, with perfectly good intentions, demanded a refund for the cursed diamond and bought me a mail-order bride to replace my lost girlfriend. He also notes that after her dissapearance, numerous detectives have been looking into the case and I'm quickly becoming the number one suspect in her presumed murder. He walks away and another friend of mine comes around and sits nearby. She asks who the new lady is, and I miserably reply, "I don't know. Alexa, or Anna, or Alexander or something," and trudge off back to my house. For some reason this requires walking underwater this time.
I go home and discover that my dear aunt and uncle are visiting. At first I assume its because Thanksgiving is coming up, but my mother takes me aside and discloses that they're here to investigate a robbery that took place awhile ago. I become nervous and excuse myself from the conversation, anxious to find the principal's papers and dispose of them. However, my mother catches me in the act and becomes extremely distrought. She begins to accuse me of various horrible crimes as she begins to weep. I try to explain everything, but she won't be consoled. Eventually she runs into the next room and comes back with a set of knives and a handful of pills, informing me that the only way I can save my honor is to kill myself; I have the option of either stabbing my eyes out or eating poison. I frantically try to buy time by going into a comedic monologue about mistaking poison for Good&Plenties, but keep tripping up on one phrase. Its at that moment that I realize that everyone has been reading out of scripts for the entire dream, and that a seagull has been slowly devouring mine to the point that I've reached a tattered mess of shredded paper. I fall down on my hands and knees and attempt to find a coherent or meaningful line I can make out that I haven't already said; I'm still in the process of doing this when I wake up.

Dreams, by definition, are not realistic. They are often very surreal and quirky. I've had a few over the course of my lifetime that have been particularly bizarre and memorably vivid. In some cases, there's a running theme in them. In other cases, they're just random and inexplicable. Here are some of the stranger/more memorable ones:
The Tornado Theme Dreams
I've lived in Southern California my entire life. We generally don't have tornadoes here. I have never seen a real tornado in my life. I have, however, been fascinated by them since I was a young child (I think the first time I learned about the existence of tornadoes was some DONALD DUCK comic I had as a kid which featured a story wherein Donald and his three nephews had to stop a mad scientist who was using a machine to create tornadoes that rampaged through the countryside). I spent hours at the school and local libraries reading books about tornadoes and studying the photographs in those books, and I never missed a tornado documentary on TV (or any movie, such as the WIZARD OF OZ, that featured a tornado).
From time to time, I have tornado dreams...most recently about a week ago. Here's how that one went:
1. For some strange reason, there was a hurricane in Southern California (which is extremely unlikely if not outright impossible). I was standing atop a hill overlooking the coast (Redondo Beach, Manhattan Beach area, if you know L.A. somewhat well). People were scrambling to get away from the pouring rain and raging winds. I'm not sure what I was doing at the top of the hill when I should have been seeking shelter, but as I looked to the horizon, I saw this ENORMOUS waterspout (surrounded by a huge cloud of water vapor) headed northwest (i.e. towards shore). I was stricken by the extraordinary size of the waterspout. All tornadoes/waterspouts are huge, but by my reckoning, this one was about *ten miles* high and possibly three or four miles wide. Its base was near the channel islands about twenty miles off the mainland coast, but the tornado DWARFED the islands. In any case, it was vaguely headed towards the mainland, although its trajectory seemed to indicate that it would make landfall near the Los Angeles International Airport or maybe even Santa Monica rather than where I was. For some reason, I didn't panic...I was concerned, but too fascinated to run for my life. Similarly, the people in the town below noticed the oncoming monster waterspout, but seemed more concerned about the wind and rain they were currently dealing with (a recurrent theme of many of my dreams is that there's some great disaster happening all around, and people notice it, but for some reason, they treat it as a minor inconvenience rather than a major disaster). The dream ended there. I don't know if the waterspout made landfall or not.
2. About a year ago, I had a different tornado dream. I was driving home from work and decided to stop by the local gas station/minimart for a Slurpee. Before I went into the minimart, I saw a tornado tear through the hills behind the gas station. It dissipated. For some reason, I shrugged it off as unimportant and went inside the minimart to get my Slurpee. When I came out, my car was suspended in the air, head skyward and tail pointed at the ground, about 50 feet high. There was no funnel cloud, but I knew it was the tornado. I watched my car float for about ten seconds, then the tornado dropped my car onto the ground with a huge crash. The car landed on its wheels. Externally, it seemed undamaged, but I knew the car was totalled inside. Sure enough, it wouldn't start. The tornado then went on to cross the street to the local airport and toss around some small planes (weirdness alert: there IS no airport in my town or on the road between my work and home). I then noticed some attractive-looking teenage girls who were staring in awe at what had just happened (as I was). Then, some of my male students from the language institute came down the sidewalk, looking like they were on the way home from a basketball game (one of them, Josh, carried a basketball and a Slurpee). Josh, with his usual casual smile, asked if I had seen the tornado that just passed by. The dream ended there.
3. A few years ago, I had a dream wherein I had to drive my aunt from my town (Diamond Bar) to L.A.'s Chinatown for a doctor's appointment early in the morning. I remember the weather being fine when we left, but then the car radio said to beware of tornadoes. Sure enough, multiple tornadoes began forming around the Los Angeles basin area (just like in the movie THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW, except this was *years* before the movie was made). Some of them were far away, and I swear at least one or two of them were swirling towards, then quickly away from the freeway (60 Pomona Freeway) we were on. I remember getting off the freeway to take the surface streets to avoid tornado-related traffic and to avoid the tornadoes themselves. Oddly, my aunt and I (and everyone else on the road) treated the tornadoes as minor inconveniences rather than dangerous threats. I even remembered being concerned about the tornado hitting my house, but my concern level was more like the concern that a strong wind would knock over clothes from the clothesline rather than losing my home. The dream ended before we reached Chinatown. I remember we were almost there when a tornado was coming up behind us.
4. In yet another tornado dream scenario, a large tornado was bearing down upon my house. In this dream, I *did* panic like you would expect one to if a tornado was coming his way. Just as the tornado was about to hit the house, however, the strangest thing happened. The tornado shrunk to the size of about 15 feet high, came INTO my house (without breaking anything...it just kind of glided through the wall) and chased me down the stairs. I got out of the front door with the mini tornado on my heels, but when I turned around, there was nothing. It was peaceful and quiet, as if no tornado had ever passed through.

Toho Monster Dreams
I've always enjoyed Toho's daikaiju ("giant monster") movies. I've had a few dreams about them as well, somewhat similar to my tornado dreams.
1. One of my dreams played out almost EXACTLY like Tornado Dream # 4, except it was Godzilla that was stomping around outside my house, shrunk down to about 15 feet tall, and chased me down the stairs and out of my house. The two dreams were almost identical except the replacement of Godzilla for the tornado...and I had these two dreams several years apart.
2. There's one dream wherein a group of friends of mine drove into this huge city in Asia. The city was strange because it had a lot of somewhat smaller buildings (about 5-10 stories high), but no skyscrapers (except one or two taller buildings near the city center). There were no colors or signs on any of the buildings. They all looked very old, and were covered by a thick layer of dark, gray dust. I remember that my friends and I were looking for this difficult-to-find Chinese restaurant...supposedly the best Chinese food in this city. It took a while to find this restaurant (which was quite opulently, if quaintly decorated on the inside, despite the drab color of the outside). Just as we sat down to order, a waiter mentioned that King Ghidora (the three headed dragon) was going to attack the city. I mentioned this to my friends. They acknowledged it, but didn't seem concerned...they were more focused on the menu and what to order for our meal. Nobody seemed quite worried, although all of them knew King Ghidora was attacking. I then heard King Ghidora's characteristic shriek. Again, nobody reacted as if it were anything out of the ordinary. I ran outside the restaurant. Standing at the far end of the street (which was a long one that extended at least twenty miles) was King Ghidora. The monster was MUCH larger than it appeared in the Toho movies. It was standing twenty miles away, and yet I still had to crane my neck to see the tops of its three heads. The monster was standing still, except for occassional movements of its heads. It seemed nearly frozen. It looked like it was made out of solid gold.
3. This dream seemed to be a continuation of # 2 above, although I had this dream at a different time. I remember that same group of friends and I driving to the peak of a local mountain, where we could look down upon the same city where the restaurant had been. This mountain was so high that we were looking *down* upon King Ghidorah, although he was flying through the air. I remember that he was fighting Godzilla in the city, and the people standing up on the mountaintop with me were not worried about it at all. Instead, they were making bets on which monster would win the fight.
The Great White Shark In The Fresh Lake And The Decapitated Woman Dream
1. This was the scariest and most disturbing dream I've ever had. I was scuba diving in a fresh-water lake. This is strange because I don't even swim, never mind scuba dive (I've never scuba-dived before). But I was scuba diving in this lake when a school of great white sharks suddenly showed up (yes, I know that great white sharks are saltwater fish that aren't found in freshwater lakes). One shark attacked this one lady who was swimming in the lake (no scuba gear, just bathing suit). I watched in horror as the shark bit off the woman's head and upper body down to her shoulders. As she was ripped in two by the shark, I heard the woman scream in terror and grief, "DECAPITATED!"...as if she knew exactly what was happening to her even as her head and shoulders were being separated from the rest of her body. Terrifying. I woke up from this dream in a sweat, and the sun was shining into my room.
The Roman Legions of Pittsburgh, 1980
1. This was a strange dream because I had it in 1982 or 1983, and yet I was somehow conscious that events in the dream "happened" in 1980. It was at night in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (a city I have never visited). I was alone in an alley when I was suddenly approached by Margot Kidder (yes, Lois Lane), who was wearing a white nightgown. She told me she was the coal miner's daughter (a movie I'd never seen) and that Julius Caesar needed my help. She didnt' say what kind of help, but sure enough, a second later, an entire Roman Legion showed up on that dark Pittsburgh alley. I followed the Roman legions down the alley. We had reached the end and were somehow on a plain in ancient Europe when the dream ended. To this day, I don't know what kind of help Julius Caesar wanted.
The Voltron Force Ghostbusters Dream
1. This was probably the corniest and coolest dream I've ever had. I had this dream in 1984, when I was in the Seventh Grade and VOLTRON was on TV. In this dream, I was woken in the middle of the night by one of my school buddies. He told me something about a haunted house that was causing trouble and that the Voltron Force was needed. The "Voltron Force", in this dream of mine, was myself and 24 other guys from my school.
Now if you remember the Lion VOLTRON series, you probably remember the strange circumstance that of the five pilots, three of them wore uniform colors that didn't match the color of their lions. For example:
Keith - Black Lion - Red Uniform
Lance - Red Lion - Blue Uniform
Pidge - Green Lion - Green Uniform
Sven - Blue Lion - Black Uniform
Hunk - Yellow Lion - Orange Uniform
Of our group of 25, each group of 5 had a different uniform color. I was in the "Sven" team...with the black-on-white uniform. I remember that the 25 of us, divided into our teams, invaded this haunted house in Pasadena, California (the house looked kind of like the one seen in THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT). Somehow, we got in there and after some quick kung fu and laser gun action, we chased the ghosts/demons/whatever out (there was no Voltron or lions involved...just incredible martial arts skills, laser guns, and those darn uniforms). I'm not sure why a 25-boy team of Voltron Force guys was summoned for a job better-suited for the Ghostbusters, but that was the dream. I remember when we got out of the house, a group of little kids were standing around admiring us and our cool uniforms. I felt especially proud to be wearing a black "Sven" uniform...which I thought was cooler than the other colors. The odd by-product of this dream was that afterwards, I tended to favor white socks that had black band trimmings.
The Sydney Carton in December, 1984 LA. Industrial Warehouse Zone Dream
It's exactly what it sounds like. I was watching Sydney Carton, the main character of Charles Dickens' A TALE OF TWO CITIES, walking out of a warehouse in Los Angeles' industrial zone one late night in December, 1984. Don't know what that was all about.
In any case, those are some of the stranger dreams I've had.

My two standard fucked-up dreams are:
The one where Spider-Man, the X-Men and the Peanuts Gang fought an evil sorceress possessing the little red-haired girl;
and the one where Cthulhu was under my bed, pulling on the covers, and when I told him to stop, the ghost of H.P. Lovecraft tried to kill me, so I kicked him in the nuts.

Had the weirdest dream back in grammar school. I dreamt that my class was in the gymnasium of the school, and suddenly, lava began to pour into the room. Whilst everyone else went to higher ground (i.e., the bleachers), I climbed up the stairs and ran away, with my left hand incinerated by the heat of the lava.

Since this thread has been revived anyway, i think i'll share this strange predream that i had this morning between my classes. So there was this fat guy and he was wearing jeans. His but was oddly shaped and this was obvious through the jeans. For about five minutes at least i must have been thinking about this in my hypnagogic stage...then my roommate walked in and i realized i had ten minutes to get to class. This whole being to class on time thing is just barely working out.

It's actually both, but I voted Adventerous.
While napping today, I dreamt that my dad and I were in line for a movie, and they wouldn't let us in because the cashier inexplicably had to run across the theatre to get my 3 cents of change. I pulled a Thor, the crashing lightning scared the hell out of everyone, and we walked through a bizarre maze to get into the theatre.
I look around as people slowly file in, my dad starts to get bored...then I wake up. Yep.

Had a recurring dream until a few years ago that I was riding a bike up an erupting volcano, as everything fell apart and lava flowed everywhere.
Just figured it out right now; I never learned to ride a bicycle (!), and that was a manifestation of fear.

But I woke up too take my brother too school, played some more, and that's when the weird stuff started happening.
I was lying in my bed, and then I was sorta in limbo. I tried too move and nothing, so I was getting scared thinking that I had a system failure. But I did kickstart myself.
Then I went back into limbo, and had a weird vision of a woman squirting out some weird substance from here breasts (this is associated with the breastfeeding thread (http://forums.comicbookresources.com/showthread.php?t=80639&highlight=breastfeeding) )
Then I kept hearing this noise that woke me up, it was like a humming and then a sharp burst.
I put on my music, and feel asleep for about 8 minutes (I was listening too a couple of epics)
It was actually kinda scary

Well, last night I had another Crazy Dream. (tm)
I was reading a Pre-Crisis Superman comic, and on the cover it had Superman facing a firing squad and a shadowed figure ordering them to fire.
And the caption said something like 'The guns are filled with kryptonite bullets! Only YOU can save Superman!'
As I pondered what that meant, I opened the first page.
Then I got sucked into page 1, panel 1.
It was actually pretty cool to be in a comic book. The only problem was that my thoughts were in a big thought balloon over my head.
I remember thinking, "Hey! I can see my own thoughts!" And...I could see my own thoughts.
Then I remembered the story.
So I walked into panel 10, but almost fell off the page.
And in panel 10, there was Superman, off to rescue Lois Lane from whoever.
To make a long story short, Lex Luthor had gone back in time and recruited the help of Adolf Hitler, who just happened to have some kryptonite lying around as Silver-Age villains do.
So Superman was weakened and lined up in front of the firing squad with kryponite bullets, as the cover stated.
And then I came in and screamed "YAAAAAAAHHHHHH!" whilst wildly waving my arms and the squad was distracted. Then I punched Lex and Hitler out, grabbed Lex's 'Stun-Ray' (as we're not allowed to use lead bullets on humans) and zapped the firing squad.
Then we returned Hitler back to his own time as we're not allowed to mess with history and saved Lois Lane.
So my dream was a parody of a comic. :p

I had a strange dream last night. Here is what it had:
A giant wrestler turning into a beast
A school carnival during the beast incident
Lots of pop culture references
Mike & the Bots appearing to battle the beast
Weird Hitchcock-like towers
Here is how it went:
A school appears to make a carnival in which the students are enthusiastic. One time, I was reading the paper, where it mentioned various creatures that have appeared in the area lately. The one that caught my eye was called "Sagach". This thing had no arms, but long sprinting legs, a wide body, and giant fangs. I was on the fourth floor when I saw Sagach being escorted by two robotic gators. I backed off, knowing of it's ability to gnaw and kill at will.
The next thing that happened was that the building started to turn into a video game where I kept entering several rooms that were built like Paper Mario, only 3D.
I found an exit, and I went outside. It got weirder...
The carnival was still being made but then the fat generic kid from The Far Side appeared in front of me with some bad news: several people have vanished. It was my job to find out. Meanwhile, the school hired a temp by the name of Mike, an average Joe they kinda liked. His importance was yet to come...
I went with the kid to the microfilm section of the media center. Several people WERE missing. But here was what I found:
A pool of blood
Tattered clothes next to the pool, saying that indeed ONE person was killed in a struggle
Several other clothes that varied from a red shirt to a pink hat. However, no struggle appeared here.
I then realized that the Sagach could have caused that. Yet, I remember how it dosen't have a good memory. Maybe after the first person was killed, several people created the illousion that it got to them so they could escape. He showed me the victim:
http://www.springfield-u.com/images/framegrabs/1F05/1F05-060.jpg
That was the victim. And the picture looked like him. Meanwhile, Homer Simpson created his part of the carnival called "HomerLand". It had a trampoline, a pool of mud, and a bunch of soiled matresses made like a fort.
The plot had just thickened. After that, I had woken up to see what time it was. It was 4:25 A.M.. I went back to my subconscious and the dream continued.
I was back in the media hall, looking for clues, when several people appeared in front of me. It was Bart, missing the shirt, and Mimi, missing the hat. Both agreed in their part to help me out with Sagach before getting a book called "Monsters: How They Are In Fact Alive".
After a while, I strolled by a "Feel Bad Rainbow" poster near the dean. He wanted me in. It was Larry Ernhart (the first assistant to Dr. Forrester). He just wanted to tell me that the Sagach incident had nothing to do with anything. But I believed it was the Sagach who killed the man.
Then, three people strolled by. If I hadn't known better, these were the guys I tend to draw a lot in my spare time. But here, they were known, and I had no clue about what I do when I am awake.
Soon, I gathered my guts and decided to take on Sagach! First, the Master from "Manos: The Hands of Fate" appeared and was the one who looked like was Sagach's creator. But I wanted to end the beast. This is where it gets REALLY absurd! All I had were some coins. I threw other stuff like garbage cans and a brick. The thing did not get mad. It vanished.
Meanwhile, another monster group had appeared on sight. Only these two were possesers. *cut to various fictional and other characters running around*.
I was besting Sagach when he turned into a crude version of King Kong Bundy! This was his original self as it went downstairs to sulk. But suddenly, his shadow grew and the cries became growls. It grew larger and larger. It became a beast human! A guy who looks like Blade attacked him to buy people time. Then the beast changed! The spirits got into him and became what they call "Possessedoff". They said that their old form of fusion was gone so they needed a host. I ran like the wind when...
That was when the dream ended and I got ready for school.
Got any weird ones? And can you tell me what that stupid dream means?

Had a very odd dream. This girl was stalking me, trying to get me to date her. But it wasn't any normal young lady. No sir. She was an elemental, and could control the air. She was playful and always used gusts to throw me around, as if she were cradling me. Sometimes she would assume the form of winds so she could sneak up on me. I was at a loss, and could not get away.
After I woke up, I said to myself:

Yeah, last night I had a weird one. In this I was an assasin, John Prescott (the deputy Prime Minister), the Prime Minister's son, and me.
I must've assasinated John Presscott as Tony Blair's son, then I tried to kill Cherie Blair. I sort went into John Presscott and tried to hide the gun, and got interviewed by the police, and my mum was stressing about it, so I made her some drinking chocolate to calm her down a bit.
That's the bones of it that I remember.

It's been a while but I thought this one was wierd enough to post... actually all the dreams I have are wierd so I'll just post this now.
I was sleeping on the train that was taking me to school. I was attending a university far away from home. When I woke up I was surrounded by people who were suppose to be my classmates those nearest were suppose to be part of a club I was in. The club was a supernatural club. We all investigated or got involved with fantastical or supernatural stuff. We each had an extra sensory power. Mine was to sense where paranormal creatures were. I had a statue at my feet that I had bought at an antique store specifically for the leader of the club. It was a mahogany woodcarving that was a mix between Asian and Greek styles. It was suppose to be of a powerful god and I could sense something from it. As I was waking from my nap I was talking to the other club members about it and they were ooh-ing and aahh-ing over it while the leader was bragging about my abilities. That is when I sensed something. I told them someone was on top of the train. We got word at that moment one of our classmates was missing. I told them I thought they were up on top of the train with whatever that was. One of the stewards looked at me funny and I told them I sensed things. While I was doing this I kept getting glimpses out of the corner of my eyes of something looking down through the train windows. We reached the station before our classmate was found.
As I was going to my dorm with my roommate (which was Azangel) we ran into our missing classmate. He looked very different. I could tell there was a change in him and he was being influenced by a evil monster. We told him he didn’t have to do this we would help him but he tried to fight us. In the end he ran away because were joined by other people. When I got to the dorm with Azangel we went in and I was awed at how it was already decorated with our stuff. The statue I bought was already there. I noticed we both had the exact same taste and commented on it. As we were sitting there talking the cat’s came out I had a small black kitten and she had a large white cat. My cat was named Dante and I kept calling him. He finally came to me but crawled the entire way. It was then someone walked in. We didn’t know who he was but he apparently was a landlord type person and was making sure everything was all right. We said we were fine and he left. I looked into the entryway he just left and noticed the statue I bought was different. The god carved on it was gone like it just got up and left.
I decided to go to the high school nearby because the principal there had invited me to come down and look around. As I went through the school the students laughed and talked around me. I made it to a cafeteria and decided to get something to drink. As I was paying for a Pepsi I saw my classmate nearby and the person who I knew at that moment to be the physical form of the creature I sensed on top of the train. They both wanted to confront me because they knew my powers threatened them.

When is it approriate to die to them?
and when is it best to re-kindle the fire and pursue them?
Circumstances and personal limitations weigh in on our dreams for our life.
When do circumstances and personal limitations ligitimately trump your dreams?
and when are they just an excuse for being lazy and quitting?
Yes - questions are wide open - so fill in the facts as you want to . . .

I second that emotion. Although my change of scenery is literal rather than figurative, I've been going through the same thing. Hating one's job spurs these kind of thoughts, I think. But it's mighty hard to pursue that dream of being a poet when the mortgage bill comes in or when your son's shoes are too small...again.

Wow that was a longgggggggggggggggggg dream...
But yea, mine are so detailed like that as well...
involved a girl I work with possibly liking me and us feeling our way around each other, then oddly it developed into some nightmare, where I was on an exotic island surounded by natives who were not black, not asian, not latin but something else and they were very hungry. very hungry.
apparently, they even kill and eat each other if the food is too scarce.
anyways, they brought some animal out, and it was pregnant, very pregnant, and either it's tummy was moving from all the offspring about to come out, or they boiled it and it was still alive and the offspring were inside, cooking and her tummy was bubbling and they were about to slice her open and eat her and the children, or she was uncooked and they were just gonna eat her then and there.
I...WAS....HORRIFIED!! I love animals and hate all cruelty to them. this was too much!
I know I kept repeating to myself, 'oh, my, God." and "don't do it. don't do it." over and over. and I think it worked.
I think I actually willed something to not happen in my dream by consciously telling myself that I would be too horrified to watch something like the grisly feast that was about to occur. so it never happened, but kinda stayed in slo-mo and repeat on the bubbling tummy of the mom animal and them about to slice her up and eat her and the young (all still living) luckily I had work and snapped out of it quickly, but it was really disturbing to me.

3 heavily armed men bust into my apartment at night and slowly start creeping up the stairs. They get to my door, bust in and kill me. Then the whole scene starts and plays through again. Eventually I grab a gun, head down the kitchen and wait for them to break through the door. When they do I come out from behind the counter and sneak up behind one of the men and shoot him in the head. I can't remember what happened after that but that replayed several times as well.
Now I'm in my room talking to a girl, when a bullet flies through the window and hits the wall. As the snipers keep shooting at us, the 3 men from before break in, and kill both of us...over and over. It gets a little fuzzy here but I discover that the snipers are actually my parents. I grab a gun again and wait under my desk for the men to come in. I always kill 2 of them, but then I run out of bullets and the last guy just puts his gun to my head and kills me...this happens over and over, except the one time where I killed everyone and escaped, but the dream just kept resetting.
The sun finally comes up and I'm alone again, and I decide to just kill my parents (I have no idea how I keep coming back to life). I get a gun and hide behind the counter in the kitchen and wait for my parents to walk in. They appear suddenly without opening the door and I start firing but there's no bullets in my gun. I just slump down and say, "Hurry up and kill me". My mom gives me some food and I say I don't want it. She tells me that she's going to kill me anyway and I might as well eat it. I can't remember what happens next, but I somehow end up outside and my right arm is all fucked up. My dad's walking towards me (I assume to kill me) and I turn around, jump on a broken fence and impale myself. My dad stands there for a while and goes back inside. At this point I can hear myself yelling, "I'll kill you, I swear it! I'll hate you until we're both burning in hell!"
Now.....that's one of the most disturbing dreams I've ever had. But the weirdest part is the fact that I kept waking up (3 or 4 times), going back to sleep and the dream picked up where it left off. Before the 2nd scenario I actually got up, went downstairs to adjust the temperature and got something to drink. One thing I've noticed about my dreams is if I suddenly wake up in the middle of one, regardless of whether it was a good dream or not, I can never remember what it was about. So the fact that I kept waking up and remembering what this dream was, and then going back to sleep and having it again is just odd.
But yeah, Xero Kaiser ain't sleep much last night. Just once I'd like to have a dream about Alicia Keys

I have found that I can sometime set my internal clock by repeating the specific hour I want to wake up (ex. 8 o clock, 8 o clock, 8 o clock, etc). This worked pretty well on a survival camping trip I took a while back. Maybe if you keep repeating "Alicia Keys, Alicia Keys, Alicia Keys" things will be better in your dreams.
Then again, you might have a naked Alicia Keys ceeping up the stairs to kill you.

Here's a question...do you feel the pain in your dreams? When I get shot or stabbed, it feels like someone poking me with their finger. It's weird, I don't lucid dream, but I seem to know in the dream that wounds only hurt that much, and only treat them and avoid as mild annoyances. Sometimes, if I'm hurt enough, I'll start acting weak or going into shock.

I have always had a mix of general, and weird dreams. What is bizzare is,that every so often i have a extremly perhaps terrifing nightmare and i never really forget it.I remember it as if it was a memory.

many times i have bone-chilling dreams. i keep dreaming i'm in a police state, where i'm different, and i'm trying to be like everyone else. i wake up after they find me, but before they kill me.
sometimes i dream my teeth keep falling out, and i try to put them back in.

just the other night i dreamed i was trapped in a wal-mart where there was a giant hive of bees that, if they stung you, turned you into flesh-dripping zombies. it even had a cameo with the guy who currently does the voice of optimus prime. lately, many dreams have had celebrity appearances.

You must have been dwelling on the same thing for a long time
Picking this back up... actually, no. I've had numerous kind of dreams since that post. I also hate things left unsaid. ;) But dreams lately have all come true. I guess a person can be off-center for awhile and then waake up one day and be back in the body and mind that they were most comfortable and friendly in. No, silly... I'm not talking about mental states...merely changes in the outside factors that guide us. I sum it all up as, "talent on loan from a higher power."
There! That is something to ponder.

I dreamed this morning that I was driving in my car while drowsy. Like I was falling asleep in my dream. And I smashed into another car. And fled the scene.

No, no way! I believe in sharing that true human feeling and emotion and commentary... Our complexities make us more creative and imaginative, I think.
But anyway, I had a dream last night that had a shapeless, faceless voice saying thank you to me, as I was jumping around like a mexican jumping bean. And no, it wasn't Bill O'Reilly or Lou Dobbs. Heh.

Let me see, I had this kind of freaky dream and I was trying to escape from my dad and he kept comng after me. It got to the point where I found a guy and I jumped on his motorcycle and went away. Then I was at this tower near the edge of the street, but the other side was nowhere but down and this security guard was also after me. I played smart and went under the rail over and over and he did as well, but it turns out he falls but I catch him... I donno why I did, he was after me, but I was trying to save him anyways.... then the dream ended.

Maybe this belongs in the Dream Thread, if so feel free to move it there wise Mr. Cronin sir, but I just felt this needed its own thread for some odd reason.
I have some weird dreams, but one dream keeps coming back to (though I've only actually had it once) because it was the only time I ever dreamed an entire comic book series.
Published by DC in the 70's, The Raptor was the story of the heir to the throne of a small Eastern European monarchy who returns to his homeland after being raised in America to lead a revolution against the small nation's Soviet invaders and the country's puppet leader, his younger brother who got left behind in the escape during the original invasion in the 60's.
His name The Raptor comes in part from the trained hunting birds he commands.
I wouldn't say I dreamed the entire series, but in my dream I saw covers, pages from various issues and I knew the entire series story arc right up to the Raptor's death alongside his brother in their final battle.
The dream was so detailed that at first I was certain it was a real series I had seen but forgotten about.

and yeah it was Macbeth apparently, with Daredevil as Macbeth..
