Awesome cover. I'm glad that we're going to get rolling on the Babs/Brainiac storyline.

Don't count on it, covers often don't reflect interior storylines anymore.

And where is the june solicits located that had the above pic?

DC's better at that than marel is, though.

No solicits yet, just covers.

Why is Barbara using a motorized wheelchair?

Oh, and...

pwned!

Oh, and...

It's a good thing she and Dick broke up. Talk about the STD from hell... Well, Krypton anyway. Geez, Babs, unless you know where your partner has been, keep your ports closed. ;)

Oh, and...

Is CBS the villain behind the Crisis? That might explain that next thing Dan Rather was working on.

Did Brainiac make her use a motorized chair?

Cover art reminds me of Benes...

Looks very good. The eye on the computer screen almost looks like the CBS logo.

How long has CBS had that logo? Longer than Omac?

Cool cover by the way.

She could be OMAC's girlfriend.

She could be OMAC's girlfriend. You mean Big Brother Eye. Unless something has changed, OMAC was the guy, and BBE was the satellite.

By the way, does anyone else find it disturbing that Barbara and Huntress are missing from this cover (http://www.herorealm.com/images/March/BatmanAlliesSecretFilesCv.jpg)?

I like it overall, but where is her right leg?

The part between her legs is visible. Her right leg is mostly covered by the side of the wheelchair. Her crotch is at the apex of the wheel.

Oracle must have gotten implants after May's issue.

Anyway the cover to VU #2 means I'll be onboard.

Where Deashot goes, I go.

Not really. Since they've moved away from Gotham, and doing more of their own work, they're not really part of the Bat-verse any more. Babs severed their ties right after War Games.

VILLAINS UNITED #2

Written by Gail Simone, art by Dale Eaglesham and Wade von Grawbadger, cover by J.G. Jones.

The explosive miniseries exploring the underbelly of the DCU continues. Six extraordinary criminals stand against DC's heroes and the combined might of Earth's villains, united by the powerful and secretive Society. Plus, someone on the team may be a traitor who will push the villains beyond the limits of endurance.

32 pages, $2.50, in stores on June 1.

Underbelly exploration? This mini might just be even more interesting than I thought.

Well after consulting my 1337 to English dictionary I came up with the following rough translation based on a subvariant of Victorian English. It reads as follows.

"Oracle has yet to be defeated and thus remains infalliable. Only the clinically insane and those of common blood would dare think she could be beaten in conversational wit or a polo match!"

Or in plan terms: "Oracle is still leet... Oracle is still leet... Oracle is still leet No one can beat Oracle. No one. Oracle is still leet..."

That's usually the nicest thing I can say about his work. While I do get why people loved his work 20 or so years ago, I don't get it anymore.

I think it gives some people a nostalgic feeling, like when they read comic books as a child. Also, some people just have different tastes in art styles, not everyone likes the art style of artists like Jim Lee.

Keep in mind that Byrne inked the cover himself, while the inside art will be inked by Nelson.

I've just had a thought. If the Brainiac virus is turning Babs into some kinda computer creature, shouldn't Dinah or someone hit ctrl-alt-delete and re-boot her?

These all look good but to be honest I doubt I will be getting any of them. I have a feeling after Countdown I am going to be striking all DC Comics from my pull list...with maybe the exception of Seven Soldiers.

particularly as he posted some inside pages this morning and they looked pretty damn good.

think it wouldn't matter if his art looked like UXM #137...some folks would still dislike it.

oh, well...still looks good to me.....and compared to seeing Mary in fishnets and garters, I'll stick with it.
