Synopsis:
This issue picks up where the last one left off. Wolverine shows up at Jubilee's doorstep (apparently in the neighborhood) thus interupting her date with Shane Shooter. Shane goes to leave, but as he does Brad runs in being chased by the bad guys.
Brad tells Jubilee the truth, that her aunt is an assassin on one last job, trying to go clean. After the job Hope decided to go to her boss to tell him she was done for good (and to get payback for being shot). They were outnumbered and were split up. Now the bad guys are at the door.
The goons blow a hole in the house and begin storming it. Wolverine, Brad, Jubilee and Shooter fend them off. Eventually Aunt Hope shows up and the battle rages on.
Then Aunt Hope's boss shows up. Aunt Hope makes a deal. Let Wolverine, Brad, Jubilee and Shooter go and she will stay and face the music alone.
As the group leaves the building the house explodes. No sign of Aunt Hope.
Brad goes to the hospital and Jubilee says good bye to Shooter (she invites him to Xavier's but she declines). Jubilee goes looking for Meg and sees her driving away with Dale, which makes Jubilee happy.
Wolverine then says it's time to get Jubilee home and they head back to Xavier's.
The epilogue sees a jogger running in LA and discovering the body of Aunt Hope, who is either a robot or just has a robotic leg.
The End.
Review:
Kind of a dissapointing last issue, mainly because everything feels so rushed together. Like all the plots and subplots were thrust to a conclusion to fast without any time to really process any of it. Hmmm . . . . I wonder why that could be.
Otherwise it was a decent issue. The art was . . . different. Looked a little too cartoony for me.
Hopefully Jubilee will now return to an X-Men team and maybe get a sequel mini series.
Thoughts?

And thank you Brian Cronin!

Cronin is such a great guy. He even sent me a comic for Christmas, and all I sent him was a "Happy Holidays" card.
And it was rushed, but I liked it.

I liked the art a lot better than the previous issues!

Iīm happy that itīs over, just from a financial point of view. I donīt have to buy another issue.
Was the series bad? No, but just kind of unnecessary. I just bought it because of Kirkmanīs writing, but heīs also done better in the past and will do so in the future.

Really? Is this a fact or idle speculation?

I too am glad it's over, in the beginning it looked like it would develop nicely, but it really fell apart fast. Right about the time Shooter turned into a regular kid from his badass gangster persona. That was one of the most awkward transtions that I had ever seen and of course the rush job at the end didn't help.

i was just reading some uncanny issues in the 270's, and honestly, i would prefer jubilee not return to the core books. i dont forsee marvel doing another jubilee series either, seeing as how it this last one was the lowest selling x book of all time.

Not really a fair comment though...this was a Marvel Age book....they are expected to get lower numbers.

Think she'll get along with X-23? Is Wolvie gonna have two girls fighting for his 'fatherly' love?
I mean, I was totally waiting for this w/ Kitty and Jubilee and it never materialized! CHICK FIGHT!

delete post.
If she will return to Uncanny, I bet CC has a plan for an interaction between the two of them. I would definitely enjoy it.
Haha, another person coming to our Slumberparty?
Hellfrost's coming, and I'm inviting StarsandGarters!

A joke. As I read this forum, I'm finding more and more ppl who I agree with on certain topics. So, I've invited several members to a pretend slumber party where we will discuss X-Men, (emphasis on the Men), and give each other makeovers while eating pizza.

it was also solicited as an ongoing originally, until the numbers came in (low) and viola, now a miniseries. the only chance of seeing a 2nd series is if the tpb sells well, which remains to be seen. i just read the xmas issue of xmen, 165, and was surprised to see jubes in it, albeit for only one page. unrelated, but what issue did jubilee first appear? like i said im reading the 270's in uncanny, and cc's still making her out as the newbie. /just curious

Well I've been meaning to find an X-title to read again. Maybe I'll give Claremont a shot shout the Jubester shows up.
