It's mentioned very briefly at the beginning of this (excellent) Don Kramer interview...

Surprised by this, considering Tomasi has never been one to want to dilute the JSA franchise like this...

I'm just pleased at the thought of two JSA books a month.

Well, JLA: CLASSIFIED has been reasonably successful, so I suppose this makes sense.

Maybe they can get Roy Thomas to do an arc.

Exactly what I was thinking.

Well, maybe not exactly.

It was more like "Man. If DC doesn't get Roy Thomas to do an arc, they're a bunch of stinky touchholes."

I know that there's been mention of the fact that Power Girl is going to have a featured solo early on in the Classified series, but does anyone know who the creative team will be?

For that matter does anyone know who any of the creative teams will be?

"JSA: Classified" was announced next, featuring a beter look at the identity of Power Girl. Amanda Connor and Jimmy Palmiotti are on art, and Connor said, "I'm channeling my inner Wally Wood for this. I'm not even sure myself where it's going, I'm still doing the first issue." Well I guess we know who the creative art team will be. I don't know about anyone else, but I really like the proposed cover...weird looking, but really cool.

Wait, so who's writing the Power Girl arc? And will this be THE Power Girl arc that clarifies her origins once and for all, or does it just set more stuff up?

From the article, Geoff Johns is which makes me wonder why it doesn't just take place in the regular JSA title.

Maybe because there are quite a few of us, like me for example, who like JSA but couldn't care less about Power Girl's origin.

Ironically, I care more about Peeg than pretty much anyone else in the JSA. So this works for me, too.

Maybe this is just a way of getting it out there without having to worry about the latest crossover or the other ongoing storylines.

And it is pretty much the same as Morrison's first JLA:C arc which seemed to take place
in current continuity.

First arc: Current continuity. After that: Free game.
