I'm sure you guys by now have heard that Invincible was optioned by Paramount (and if not, you can read about it on n-rama here) (http://newsarama.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=29258)). But was I didn't know was this little blurb at the bottom of the article:

In addition to the coming #0 issue, Image will be soliciting a hardcover Invincible edition in June, collecting the first thirteen issues of the Eisner-nominated book. Invincible: The Ultimate Collection, Vol. 1, will clock in at 400 pages and will retail for $34.95. The volume will also contain a plethora of bonus material, as well as an introduction by superstar writer Brian Michael Bendis.

Yeah, that jumped screaming out at me, too. Can a WALKING DEAD volume be far behind next?

Why do I buy trades anymore? UGH

First it was wait for the trade... now it's wait for the HC?!?!?! I'm gonna end up doing more waiting than reading! :(

I've been buying the Trades for the extras. Wonder what else Kirkman will be able to cram into this HC? Would really love to get this, but I think that I'm going to have to pass. I can't justify to myself having three different versions of the same material.
