The book is starting to get interesting again and I'm wondering if Marvel is sticking with it. Does anyone know?

Not only will it continue, but there's a brand new M2 limited series in the making.
Seems that the digests are doing pretty well on the bookshelves and the fact that May has a very devoted and solid readership saved the books many, many times. :)

If they'd just release full sized TPBs I know I'd start collecting it every month too...

I can only hope this series continues. It's one of my favorites being produced today.

Also, I don't mind the digest sized trades, as long as I can go back and get the issue's I missed and a good price like that I don't care much about the size of the book.

As a new reader to comics, i love spider-girl because its fairly easy to read (not a whole lot of back story required and the arcs are very short).

WHat is M2?

Its the line that Spider-Girl started in... it was meant to be set in the future. There were also J2 (Juggernaut's son) and Wildthing (Elektra's and Wolverine's daughter), I have a complete run of both.

I might be forgetting any other books in the line.

I have a complete collection of the issues and I'm still buying every digest, just to keep May's series going. That's also the reason why I'm buying three copies per issue since a few months. :)

I might be forgetting any other books in the line.

A-Next (Avengers; 12 issues), Fantastic Five (6? issues) and the two Spider-Girl spin-offs Dark Devil (3 issues) and The Buzz (3 issues). :)

Was that Wildthing book any good?

Was that Wildthing book any good?

It was ok... not alot of people on here seemed to enjoy it but alot on here don't seem to enjoy any Wolverine offspring fullstop. It wasn't anything amazing but I picked up the full set for a few £ so I can't complain.

How much of Spider-Girl is available in the digest? It's one of those books I've thought about picking up at various times, and the digests are right in my price bracket (i.e. dirt cheap).

Each digest contains 6 issues. So #0-11 are available in digest form as of now. :)

The last 2 (or 3?) of these are a team up with the Torch and Spider-Man, btw. Very fun. :D

Does anyone know what the new mini-series will be about?

And May needs all the help she can get to keep being published. I mean I buy 2 copies, one for me and one for my son, he looks at his for about 4 or 5 days and then tears it up but I figure at least it's one more sale :D

Wasn't Spider girl going to get cancelled a few times or something?
I don't know anything about this, but i'm interested..

Yes, I know it was going to be canceled a couple of times but the fans managed to somehow keep the series going. I don't know all the specifics though.

If someone had told me back In the late 90's after her 1st appearance In What If 104# , that May Parker would still be existing and published even today....I'd laugh. Because Marvel has never really let a Women charactor last long In a series.

But Spidergirl seems destined to last to Issue 100#. Thats pretty cool to see.

I have her 1st appearance though because I'ma huge What If ? fan .

I know this was just an honest mistake, but Spider-girl's first appearance is in What If? Volume 2, #105, not #104.

Honest mistake. I have the Issue at home. I should have looked It up online.

Odds are It will. I don't ever see Marvel pulling the plug on It. Even though they have tried at numerous times.

I certainly hope not. It really is a quality book and deserves to keep being published. You can tell when you read each issue the love Tom DeFalco has for this character.

I think Marvel have concluded that they should at least get it to #100, just cos it's better PR than cancelling it just before. So I think it's safe till then unless sales plummet into the toilet. (This is all made up by me, I have no idea what actually goes on at Marvel head office.)
