Negima/Love Hina in the same universe?

As I was reading through Negima volume 4 I noticed that Setsuna went to the same school motoko once attended the Shinmei Ryu school, this lead to me to believe that the stories take place in the same universe during different times because of the school thing. This is just a theory but I think that the two are in the same dimension what do you all think of it?

You're probably right, G Man even has the theory that Setsuna may be Motoko's niece.

I think that Motoko's sister Tsuruko may have seen the Southern Master as well this is just a feeling but I think she was one that fought in the Magical Wars before the Southern Master put a curse on Evangeline.

Could be. BTW Negi's father's title was supposed to be translated "Thousand Master."

I guess the southern master could have many partners but it doesn't necessarily say which girl he settled down with.

Joy, someone else shares my theory! Yup, in the flashback where Setsuna is introduced to Konoka as children, we see her tagging along side some shilouettes that look mysteriously like Tsuruko and a younger Motoko (the shilouette of Motoko would indicate she was younger than when she first came to Hinata house).

It would also retroactively explain how Tsuruko's clan knows so much about fighting demons. Infact, the flashback of Motoko's ancestors in Love Hina looks very similar to the flashback in which Setsuna is explaining her ancestors history to Negi.

Do they ever reveal her exact lineage? It's still possible that she's related to them, or at least knows them well enough that they would be the ones who brought her to the Kansai Magic HQ.

She could be a demon. Highly unlikely. She's probably like an angel or something. I'm on chapter 79 right now and that ghost girl (Sako?) has just been introduced.
Lingshen Chao is up to something, I think she knows Negi is a mage. But she's trying to expose Takahata and the other magic teachers at the school and surrounding area. And the World Tree myth that Fuka and Fumika told Negi about finally is explained.
