I was always a little sad that Flint never joined the Authority. I thought she would have been a lot cooler than freakin Swift (the most useless character in the team and suckiest).

Now she's with team Achilles....Sigh...

I think that Flint was just far too loyal to Jackson and Christine to join the Authority. I wonder why they never brought her aboard the Monarchy though? Maybe no one wanted to use her until Micah, which seems odd because I also thought that she was a great character with a lot of potential.

I know what you mean man. Stormwatch ending was an emotional rollercoaster for me.. I just loved that book. I was really dissapointed not to see Flint when Authority came around too. I didn't really read the new series, the writer seemed like a hack.

Monarchy probably could have used a little of her down to earth style. :o

Ellis needs to come home and clean up the wildstorm U. I know he is on Planetary, but I want to see more of his Wildstorm U. I can't even read Authority anymore! It just plain sucks now!

yeah Ellis needs to refine the Wildstorm universe again. I guess he gets bord way too easily or something.

Warren does seem to get bored easily. Plus he has made it clear that Superhero comics are bollocks, so, as much as I would love it, I don't think that he will come back to make WSU rock again. I have all of his Stormwatch and Authority trades and read them all the time. They rock.

I used to love Stormwatch/Authority, but both have become soulless abominations. Return Jackson and Christine to us! (But not in the Monarchy, as that series was ass.)

Hey, they've brought back Bendix, you might well get your wish. . .

That said, I liked Flint in TA. Sure, she did contrast a bit, but the contrast was a *good* thing.

Re: Flint in the Authority- in a way, I'm glad she didn't, since it spared her the total decay that the other Stormwatchers that joined ended up with.

Just recently revealed as the "hooded figure" in Authority: Revolution. Major question, like "How?", have yet to be even slightly explained.

He also was in the Monarchy, but not as a villain.

Ya... wha... huh? Bendix is back? What are the specific issues he's appeared in? He was one of my favorite all time villians. I think I gotta check this out!  :D

Yeah, but something makes me think that nobody is going to pay attention to the Monarchy continuity.

Which series? Both Stormwatch and The Monarchy have been cancelled for a while now. The final issue of Stormwatch, #24, was scripted but never pencilled. If you want to know what happens, Micah's scripted pages can be found here on Micah's site: http://www.micahwright.com/comics.htm

This guy is why I never got into the Team Achilles Stormwatch. I thought he was a hack then, and after reading his rejected DV8 pitch, I have absolutly no respect for him now. "Ya, I only read issues 1-8 and got the gist of the series." Sure Ellis was basically done after that, but if I was writing a book I would maybe absorb ALL the history I could. I'm glad this guys name is trash in comics now. He has a frickin Military fetish. Dork! :evilangry

The sad part is that he was never in the military. He claimed to be something he wasn't and now I don't know if anybody will buy his stuff on principle.

I can't really agree on the sad part Mastaflan (and I usually agree with you a lot :D )

I think Micha is more pathetic. Honestly something inside me cannot muster up any sympathy. If you want a interesting and full life, you live it. You don't create it so you seem like a more amazing person. If he wanted to be a military boy, well then he could have worked hard and taken his frikin' vitamins. Keep him in the comic black book, then he can stick to his military propaganda fetish.

No what I thought was sad was that he was claiming to be in the military..and nothing is worse than a poser. especially something along the lines of a soldier. He should have just been hionest from the begining but luckily for all of us that he wasnt't cuzz now I doubt he'll ever touch a book again. I wasn't feeling his work much anyways. I agree with you that I don't care much for his style either.

Well, I can agree that it is lame to pretend to be something when you are not, and I have told Micah as much, and I also felt kind of put out when I read that he felt like only reading the first 8 issues of a 36 issue series was enough to understand the title. I, however, did enjoy Team Achilles, and, if he put out some other work of equal quality, I would read it. I'm not saying that I am o.k. with what he did, I'm just saying that it doesn't lessen my opinion of Team Achilles. I would be a hypocrite if I acted like I've never told a lie, although I've never told one this big and stuck with it for that long.

I'm split. I consider Micah a thoroughly despicable human being, and hope he never works again.

OTOH. . . I really liked Team Achilles. I deeply regret it getting cancelled. Citizen Soldier, in particular, was an *amazing* villain.

DV8 went downhill pretty quick after #8 - and a little before as well, when that editor started re-writing ellis.
I would say the first eight issues would give you what DV8 should be, as opposed to what it became.

edit: Just read his pitch (well some of it, got the gist).
Didn't do much for me - seemed like a complete retread of what Ellis had already done, except Ellis doesn't consider Teenagers as Stupid and ill-informed.
In fact I'd personally say that's a Stupid and ill-informed view to take on teenagers in general - and I can't help but wonder if that got in the way of his propsal.
end edit.

For me, the lowest part of his whole lie was going as far as to write the introduction for Queen & Country: Declassified.
That wasn't just boosting your resume, or trying for credibility, it was a flat out lie that he did for a few bucks, talking about the problems of the world and man.
It's quite an intresting/emotional piece, and it leaves you a bit numb if you read it and believed it to find out it was a lie.

I suppose in some aspects it did, but I'm still conected to the crew of DV8. Sure what happened after issue 8 pailed in comparison, but stuff like Evo's transformation and other little things stuck with me. I was a fan what can I say.

Nuff Said. I agree totally.
