Hardest Boss?

What is your view of the Hardest Boss or sub-boss from any game?


My vote goes to Ruby Weapon of Final Fantasy VII, first time I went up against it, I lost in about 5 seconds. And not until last year (with help from an GAme Guide) I beat it, and it still wasn't easy.

The hardest final boss was Zeromus in Final Fantasy IV. I didn't feel like leveling up anymore, and fought him with his full power (without that attack weakened).

The hardest hidden boss is Prinny Baal from Disgaea with all his equipment on. Go ahead, and try it; he'll make your entire powerful group look like nothing

This is pretty sad admitting this but, since sixth grade, I could never beat the Twin Cells in MegaMan X6.

It's not so bad that you didnt beat X6 i still cant beat X3 or even X I try but I fail and I sorta gave up. The saddest part of X3 is that I have the Gold armor and everything.

I think I suffer from Charles Bronsonism, considering I played until the sorta-kinda end of X7.

The key is to abuse your limit breaks as much as possible. Get into aura and make sure to cure "curse" status. It's a great time to use Rinoa's Angel Wing with all her offensive spells removed except Meteor(so she'll cast Meteor every turn). Holy Wars are great if you have them(refine from the Gilgamesh card).

i got to the last part easy enough,but when she slowed my party down (consisting of squal,zell and irvine) and started using apocolypse,i was down to just squal,and aura wouldnt work so ishe killed me,my stas were like 99999 hit points but still she beat me!

Well, try junctioning a powerful spell like aura to your speed. Use a rocket engine to give one of your GFs auto-haste. Junction curaga to your health. After that, you shouldn't have any problems. You should be able to keep at least two party members alive in the final part of the battle. Here's another trick -- junction 100 Ultima to your elemental defend and see what happens.

Oh, and -- when Ultimecia starts to talk, don't bother with renzokuken. It means she has a fixed number of hits before she dies. Damage doesn't come into it. Just hit her with your normal attack.

...I don't get it. How can you get to the final boss of a game and not fight until you win?

I don't think I've ever lost to final Ultimecia, and granted my stats were awesome as well (oh, and I beat Omega Weapon). Not that I really remember the game well, but couldn't you just use haste when she slowed you down? Megaelixirs also help when you're down to 1 hp.

I actually found the giant-vagina sized Billy Zane to be a bit too easy. He was a pushover compared to the other mandatory bosses such as

Actually, the one who had Eden was Ultima Weapon. Omega weapon was the ultra-tough boss that you have the option to fight in the final dungeon area. I think what you had to do was ring the bell, then make it to the chapel area in like 20 seconds or something to fight him.

Yes, that boss is hard -- my first playthrough I found him very tough. On my second playthrough I beat him first try, though (a very close victory).

El Gigante is EASY. When parasite is exposed. Shoot at it, magnum or rifle.

Goes down EASY.

I didn't have much trouble with Ultimecia. But the final boss fight at the end of Wild Arms 3 was annoying enough to make me just quit the game: it's really ten fights, one after another, with no breaks to heal up in between. Cheap and irritating.

yeah that was the guy i beat really easy,i just get theyre names mixed up because they are so similar looking.

There is any easier way. Use the 2 team thing to locate one team (the team you'll fight the battle with) on the green glowy thing outside the chapel, ahev your other team pull the rope use the green thing to swap teams.

I never did beat him, never liked the game enough to do it.

Final boss(hell the last couple final bosses) for Shinobi(PS2) on the harder modes. Of course once you get above normal you become shocked at how friggin quickly Akujiki goes through your life bar.

I got insanely good at that game last year, played it all the time. I got to the point where I could get up to Super Macho Man before I even took a hit, and even he went down easily. I eventually even reached the point where I could survive three rounds against Tyson.

But I never beat the bastard.

After that, I think he gives you an opening to lay into him and knock him down at the end of the combo. Rinse and Repeat. Of course, I could be thinking of one of the other boxers. It's been a long time since I played.

You're definitely thinking of one of the other boxers. By memory, I'd say probably Mr. Sandman. (Who's also a bitch to beat, but nowhere near as bad as Tyson.) Blocking is useless against Tyson for the first minute of the fight -- if he hits you, you're down, blocking or not. You have to dodge every punch he throws for the first minute. You basically have to dodge everything after that, too... blocking is theoretically possible after the first minute, but he hits so hard you're stunned *fast*.

Like every character in the game, Tyson fights on a pattern, but it's a fast, complex pattern and you're basically dead if you screw up once. And even knowing his pattern and being able to dance around his hits doesn't garauntee a win, because he's so tough that actually knocking him down three times in a round is hard, and he always wins by decision.

On Tyson, I don't think you could knock him down until round two. Round one was strictly dodge street, IIRC. Tyson wasn't my forte, it was my friend's brother's though. He could beat Tyson like he was fighting Flamingo or Glass Joe. I wish I played it more, once he taught me the pattern it was easy. But as I said before, I don't remember the game well enough to relay what that pattern was. Maybe I'll talk to him and see if he even remembers it.

After 2 and a half hours of a single battle -- not repeated attempts, but one battle -- I'm going to have to say "The End" from MGS3. I did it on hard and I held him up for his camo and stamina killed him for his rifle!

Hard mostly because of when you could fight it, that hidden beasty from FF6 that you can only fight in the light world and is supposedly one of the 8 dragons or whatever.
