So what are your thoughts on this issue. I think it was pretty cool that Ronnie was kind of like a mentor to Jason.

This Is where they were going with It all. People were celebrating that Jason's run was over. Maybe Its me...but you pretty much get an explantion that Jason and Ronie will share Firestorm now.
But Jason can give Ronnie control at times. But Ronnie's now a part of Jason Rusch. I enjoyed It. Great cover as well.

Great issue. I don't think think they're done mixing things up, though. ;)

As a fan of Ostrander's Suicide Squad, I was thrilled to see you-know-who at the end. Wasn't he supposed to be dead, though? Not that that counts for much in comics, I know ...
I didn't much like Multiplex's new Tron outfit, but it's at least a marginal improvement on the faux-Magneto bucket helmet and cape. And they're really running through the Who's Who of Firestorm villains, aren't they? All we need now is for Hyena and Black Bison to show up...
And I liked the little nod to IDC with the Calculator getting briefly involved. Stuff like that is what makes a real, coherent superhero universe.
Really looking forward to next issue to see how Ronnie and Jason handle three major villains at once.

I have to admit, with ronnie in the mix, this series is starting to grow on me.

I agree with everyone I thought this was a great Issue of Firestorm. I like how Ronnie is pushing Jason to be the better Hero. I thought the art was great especially seeing Typhoon. I really like how the questions I had about the previous episode was explained in this Issue as well. I seem to like the process of Merging now off the fly than merging with just anyone off the street.

I think the thing you don't like about him is that he's not Ronnie.
Seriously, what's wrong with him that you couldn't also find in any number of DCU characters at some point in their lives?

Plus this casts Ronnie In a new way. He's now looked at the experinced hero. He'll be the guy who offers advice to the young hero. Thats pretty cool In a way and really flashes back to the old series.
DC seems Intent on keeping It with getting a new writing team behind It. Maybe they wanna keep thier 2nd tier books up like Hawkman , Nightwing ect...ect.

Wasn't Multiplex killed by Parasite during the suicide squad battle with the Justice League over Firestorm ?

So, I take it Ronnie Raymond has now assumed the Professor Stein role within the Firestorm persona?
I figured they were going to go this route. Makes a lot of sense, really. Keeps the old and new characters around and allows them both to move forward.

Multiplex was seemingly killed by Parasite, but he got better. He was mentioned as being at large in Manhunter, he's going to be around for a few issues in Firestorm and he shows up in Villians United. When I die, I hope to get around as much.
I like this arrangement with Ronnie and Jason, but I'm guessing that that dynamic is going to change again. Remember that DC wanted to go in a new direction after #13.

Finally had a chance to read this and I'm still liking it quite a bit. Personally, I like Jason. He's pretty naive and unsure of himself, which I find pretty realistic for a kid who was just handed near omnipotent powers. The Jason/Ronnie mix seems like a winner in my opinion. The old Firestorm completely lost its appeal to me when the character stopped sharing personalities with Prof. Stein. I've yet to hear any solid reasons from anyone for not liking Jason. It simply sounds like "I don't like him cause I don't like him."

Or, to paraphrase someone over on Newsarama: "you don't like Jason because he wasn't your imaginary friend twenty years ago."

The old Firestorm completely lost its appeal to me when the character stopped sharing personalities with Prof. Stein. I still like Ronnie Raymond, but yeah,it would be nice to bring Stein back on a permanent basis. I've yet to hear any solid reasons from anyone for not liking Jason. It simply sounds like "I don't like him cause I don't like him." It's because his personality sucks, and he's morally reprehensible cliche with no redeeming social values whatsoever. He's a blatant ripoff of a better character...without the charm.. OR you could just say " he's not Raymond/Stein,and he hasn't the history of the original.Regardless, this book will be history soon and hopefully someone will bring Ronnie back and kill Jason.

Sorry, that's just a bunch of vague nonsense.
He's a blatant ripoff of a better character...without the charm..
He's not a "ripoff," he's a new, revamped version of the same character. Whether or not the original is better or more "charming" is entirely subjective, and you really haven't given me any objective facts to back this up.
OR you could just say " he's not Raymond/Stein,and he hasn't the history of the original.
Ah, now we come to the heart of the matter!
Regardless, this book will be history soon and hopefully someone will bring Ronnie back and kill Jason.
The jury's still out on the book's fate and your final comments strike me as rather mean spirited. It's not your cup of tea? Don't buy it! But don't begrudge those of us who are enjoying it.

I can't see DC giving up on It. Odds are they'll toss the book to Johns If the writing Team doesn't work out. And Geoff Johns could make almost anyone pick up a series.
It gets a new creative Team with 13#.

Finally, this story is picking up the pace a bit! It had gotten a little "stuck" for a while. And FINALLY Jason stands up to his dad! It's about time! I love the whole "Ronnie in Jason's head" angle. Excellent issue!

This is where it was meant to be all along, but lots of hardcore old school fans jumped ship before it could come together. Too bad for them and esp too bad for Dan Jolley, the writer.
I have really enjoyed this series since the first issue and can't wait to see what former Helix editor Stuart Moore does with it. It will only get better methinks !
