welll it's good that the journey to get Ironman to the big screen continues. i suppose them wanted to take their time and get it right is better than them rushing the project to get it into theatres.

still the the one thing that bothered me was the way the Iron Man story was decribed in terms or other movies/franshises. in general it bother me when movies are described as combinations of other properties but it really bothers me when it happens with comic properties, probably because i follow their development a little more closely. Iron man doesn't need to take elements from GI Joe, Bond and Clancey to be cool, Iron Man is already cool.

Yeah but usually when trying to pitch something people tend to compare it with things they think the executives already know. It's stupid, but I think it gives the execs an idea of what the studio will actually be spending it's money on.

Oh, and I think this guy would make a good Tony Stark:

As long as they don`t use one of the people that has played "Batman", a "Batman Sidekick", or a "Batman Villian" I will be happy.

I don't know, George Clooney as a billionaire playboy with a social conscience? And he wears one hell of a mustache.

Seriously though, they'll probably need a higher caliber star for Iron Man than some of the other movies. Iron Man doesn't have the same name recognition as X-Men, Hulk, Superman, Batman, etc.

Tom Selleck isn't my favorite actor, but he would have made a great Tony Stark about 10 years ago. I think he's a little old for the part now.

Tom Cruise wouldn't be a bad choice if we are talking about Ultimate Iron Man instead of 616 Iron Man. Or it could be a mixture of both.

This guy ain't done any screen work since 2001. In fact, I think he bagged my groceries last night. That's where I know him from! He double bagged my soft drinks!
