Thanks :)

Only titles coming to mind right now are "Supreme Justice" and "Clear and Present Dangers." Oh, and the "Avengers/Thunderbolts: The Nefaria Protocols" crossover.

CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGERS
ULTRON UNLIMITED

THE NEFARIA PROTOCOLS
THE KANG DYNASTY
AVENGERS FOREVER fits in there somewhere, but I'm not sure exactly where.

I might need to nab all of those since some of my Busiek Avengers comics have pages that turned brown. I didn't take the utmost care of them back then and I thought the pages would stay white :(

Good God man!!!
You didn't take care of your Busiek Avengers stuff!
You know that punishable by death right?
Thanks for the help you guys. I'm gonna nab em all minus his last two story arcs. :)

Don't forget the Hardcovers!
The first one's out now, with a second either out now as well, or extremely soon.

I am buying the Avengers Forever TPB as my first foray into the media. I considered the Ultron Unlimited series, but (and I know this is heresy), I don't think Perez is 'consistently good' (some of what I have seen is mediocre). Any feedback as to my decicion? Some Perez ROCKS, but some to me looks less than average (relatively, I can't even draw a decent stick-man). I trust Busiek as a writer, but looking at the art, would rather get a 12 issue TPB with a few really good artists, than a 6 issue run with Perez (like I said he seems inconsistent despite the praise he receives (I before e except after c).). ;)

Your first foray into the Avengers Trades might not want to be Avengers Forever.... cause the story is very good , but very complicated. I'd recommend trying something else unless you are already very familiar with the Marvel universe and Avengers history.
You have been warned!

You might want to think about sitting out both of those trades as their impact is more based on earlier stories. I would say Kang Dynasty is the best stand-alone trade you can read as it encompasses tons of the Avengers world yet is really a stand-alone story.
Ultron Unlimitted is basically the final chapter in the Ultron Saga and its a great read, but I think its a great read because its just a great final.
Avengers Forever is long.... really long complicated story that deals with tons of Avengers history I would not read this trade at all until you really master the storyline
Kang Dynasty is one huge battle of Kang vs Avengers that spans Kurt's full run, the Entire Avengers line-up, and all of Earth. It also features a bunch of C level villians in sub-plot battles which were really good.

Nice summary. I know I've read most of this as it was coming out, but now, I don't recall most of the stories.
I have to agree that Avengers Forever is the most convoluted and challenging.
Perhaps this is the problem with much of the Avenger's series... so much of it draws upon earlier history and convoluted changes and rechanges in Avengers characters. While it's good, it's hard to jump in. Perhaps that was one of the reasons for Dissassembled. "Create a new jumping on point." "Don't eliminate the back history...just make it irrelevant and overshaddowed by new events...."
What do you think?

I appreciate the feedback. Maybe I am a little influenced by the art (as I described my feelings already), and the value. Seeing that 'FOREVER' is 12 (or 13 issues?) in comparison to some of the others I was looking into (about half that). I am pretty familiar with the Marvel Universe in general , but the Avengers are not my forte by any means. Kang seems really intriguing to me, which also might be an influence in my first impressions. Given the advice, maybe I will take a closer look at the Kang Dynasty as an option. Thanks again. ;)

Avengers Forever has plenty of footnotes if you do get lost, but the story is incredible.

And, make that incredibly complicated, also.
If you don't already know the Avengers backstory, you'll know the TRUE history as a result of this massive TWELVE issue storyline. I got it just so that I'd have the complete definitive answer to all the contradictions in story continuity that had crept in over the years from different writers, etc. ;)

I knew that you'd love it! It's my second favorite comic story right after Kingdom Come.

I liked it, but it spoiled 2 great classic stories for me, Celestial Madonna, and the Kree Skull War.
