I was looking through the darkhorse website and stumbled upon it's preview. The art looks great in the preview but is the book itself any good?
Hmmm?

The book itself was great. I believe it ended (for the time being) at issue #11. It's great, it follows the same Itto Ogami and his child through a post-apocolyptic world where he must protect the child from the governement, because she holds the cure to some hirrible disease I blieve it was. Anyway, it was a pretty good read. I enjoyed it.

Are the three volumes they are selling over on the darkhorse website the entire story or is it an ongoing thing still? What I mean is you sort of implied it was ended but they left a few strands going for a possible sequal. But I dont really want to buy them all only to find out there is major questions left unanswered.
Pretty much talked myself into buying the first one regaurdless of how it ends though. The samurai on the cover is just too cool to let pass by without taking a peak inside to see if the rest of the pages are as well done as the cover.

Yes, the story does end without a true conclusion, with lots to go my opinion. It did wrap things up in a hurry. But it's still a great read.

Well finally got the first issue in the mail. First thing I have to say is was it origonally published as small as the issue I recieved? I got it in the mail and it is something like 9'' x 6'' or so. Some of it made my eyes a bit bleary- course I was reading it after a long long day.
Besides that it was a good book though. Bit disapointed the main char didnt have a samurai sword till the end though. But that was a small thing.
And what's up with america in it? Sounds like we've turned to canabals over here in it. Buying babies. Hehe.
Story sort of reminded me of a few others too. It was well written though. I especially liked the interaction between the robot hunter and his robot. The baboons were neat too.
Art was really good though. If a bit small. Not sure if Im going to get the 2nd one though. Well that's not true Im going to get it if I stumble upon it but I dont think Im going to go out of my way to get it. I mean I bought it for the art and while excellant it was smallish. Which sort of ruined it for me a bit.
'O and what was that yellow thing that they threw at each other in the end?
