Just wanna drop a line and say It kicks ass! Will Marvel release a 40 years of package like this for X-Men , Avengers or Fantastic Four ? Because this baby whups ass 6 ways to Sunday.

I'm up to Issue 10# as we speak. Dear lord...only 490 more Amazing Spiderman Issues to go! Is thisnot the best damn thing Marvel has ever produced or what?

Someone just posted that they are doing a Fantastic Four one. It was in previews not to long back. Here's the link.

I'm up to 310 on the Amazing Spiderman. It is a great product in my eyes anyways.

It's true, this set is awesome. I'm currently on #70 and The Stan Lee stuff is the absolute best.

A lot of them have the *ED explanatory notes. But some of them leave you SOL unless you have the missing issues.

And per the original topic--Yes, the CD-ROM set does kick some serious tail.

I'll definitely pick up a Fantastic Four set if they release one, even though I have most of that title already.

That was my reaction as well. I figured for around 12 cents an issue, I'd take a gamble. It is well worth it, and although I still prefer to hold a "real" comic in my hands when I read it, I got used to reading it on the computer screen pretty quickly.

I bought my copy from Tales of Wonder (http://talesofwonder.com/) for $40, but I hear that Amazon has them for $35.

Bud - Just go to the store and buy it, you won't be disappointed. Just remember when you open the book opens increase the size to 200%. It's perfect then.

Right on. I blow mine up to 200% when I'm reading too. It's the perfect size so that I can lean back in my recliner infront of my monitor and navigate the pages with my wireless mouse.

Paul, SuperE, and Olimpichero, are you guys running Acrobat Reader 6 (the one that comes with the set) or 7 (the latest available from the Adobe site)? Just wondering. I'm running version 6 and it works fine but doesn't allow me to cut and paste panels, which I would like to be able to do.

I'm running whatever comes with the disk. I had an older version, and when I opened it initially with that program, I had the Marvel Logo watermark on all the issues. Then I started using the Adobe on the disk, and no more problems.

Hopefully they'll do an X-Men version as well at some point. They appear to know the market is there, and trying to make it not worth the time to download issues on line. I hope also that they do a second 'Spider-Man' version which will include the ASM issues and more. :)

I had to download It. I had 5.0 and went to the site and downloaded the 6.0 version. It sucks I'm away from my home Computer at the moment. I only got 10 Issues read.

I told my mom that It could possibly take me a few months to get all 500 Issues read. Thing Is...this pretty much proved my point. Marvel can produce a series like this and put It on DVD-Rom . I'd love to get Uncanny X-Men 1-500 with Giant sized X-Men 1# Included.

Plus other series that we'd like. Spectacular Spiderman (vol.1) or Web of Spiderman. Make It happen Marvel. :D

I'd love to see more volumes of this with the Spider-Man stories that weren't included: The Annuals, Spectacular Spider-Man, etc. I'd happily plop down a hundred dollars for the rest of Spider-Man.

And Ireally want to see this done with the Fantastic Four, Avengers, X-Men, Captain America, etc.

You can save them to your HD. Each issue is about 12.1 MB.

Now, once they add supplemental disks with the annuals and specials, as well as every Spidey series and appearance ever, I'll be in heaven!

Either way -
This set seriously rocks!

So they include #1-500 but no annuals (it's not like most annuals are really worth it but it would still be nice to be included)?

Yes, the set contains Amazing Spider-Man #1-500 and also Amazing Fantasy #15.

PDF files? Missing crossover issues? CD-ROM instead of DVD? Weak.
