I think it's a great trend. The Golden Age of Piracy is a fascinating period of history that is shrouded in myths and misconceptions.
I tried very hard to make things as historically accurate as possible. That equals research, research, research.
What other book can boast that it contains Captain Kidd, Blackbeard and Bartholomew Roberts?
Seriously... I think pirate fans will dig it, horror fans will dig it, and hopefully, everyone else will dig it too.
