It's a good book. Very interesting characters and themes.

It's a helluva good book. Alex Robinson writes about people who you could actually know in real life and draws them to look that way too. Great gateway book for casual comcis fans.

Solid B. Not the absolute best of the Indy-relationship-type-books, and all the plots get a little unweildly, but there's some funny jokes, some interestign comics history, and a refresing lack of judgement on the part of the creator. He never goes all moral on you, not even once.

Pretty good stuff. Probably worth the 25 bones.

I really enjoyed BOP, I thought it was well done. I actually checked it out from the library, but I'm considering going back and buying it anyways.

I, too, really enjoyed BOP, for the characterizations, for the characters' interactions, good, speakable dialogue and nice drawing. My only complaint, really, is that when it ended, it did so too neatly, characters going off in predictable directions, everybody splitting up if not by distance of miles, than by emotional distance.... or maybe I was just bummin' the story was over!

But anyway, the trade collection is certainly recommended!

It was good, though pretty unweildy in many places...it meandered a lot due to the way Robinson created it--organically, not fully structured from the beginning.

I still pick it up and flip through it time to time. Moreso than some books which I own that may be technically better.

Read the TPB version about two to two and half years ago and I still can fondly remember the joy it brought me. The story was solid, the characters weren't caricatures and the ending was heart felt and sad.

I just bought this book and read it over the past week and I really enjoyed it. I'm surprised that more people haven't commented on it here.
