Just got back! Hence the shades, and the "wind-blown" look.

Oh, I know. I "got it." I was just being silly and bustin' on ya a bit.

I went over the Brooklyn Bridge, around the battery end of manhattan, bought a book, and came home.

It was gorgeous out, and the parks and bridges were CHOKED with people.

(In the bike lane, no less... razzin frazzin tourists with their cameras in the bike lane...)

The weekend was gorgeous. We were camping with the scouts, had a pretty good time.

So I haven't really participated in this thread, and I kind of feel bad about that, like I'm hiding or something. There's probably some of that, but also I don't have a camera phone and people don't tend to take my picture that often.

Over the weekend I was at my sister's house and I had a chance to get some pictures from last September's King's Island trip with her and our nephews. I copied a bunch of them onto a thumbdrive, and when I got to work today, I found out that this was the only picture I saved with me in it. Apparently, it was the best and the only picture of me worth saving. I wish I were joking.

Maybe next time.

You know what's weird? She managed to take a picture where you can't see my nose. Seriously, it's the family curse. It's practically a snout.

Everybody has body issues, unless you're a total insufferable egomaniac.

I like to look at pics for some reason. When I'm in someone's home for the first time, the first thing I'm drawn to - usually - are photographs on the wall.

Exactly.

People op[en up over a phto album.

Sometimes it bores me to tears . . but it's worth the risk because other times it's great.

Why most boys do that is weird. Some kind of Jungian archetype there . . .

Exactly.

our photo albums are NEVER dull, probably cuz without doubt you always come across a photo of a drunk uncle (and there's ALWAYS a story attached to that one) or better yet, a photo or two with a married uncle snuggling up to his one of his mistresses.

when my uncle passed last year, everybody met up at my granny's spot. of course we all got to pulling out the photo albums. it got interesting when my older cousin got frantic and told us we had to be careful about the photos we were looking at. turns out there were quite a few photos in the albums with him and his women back when he was stepping out on his wife

his grown daughter was there with us and him, being the deacon of his church and holding prayer meetings at his house, didn't want her finding out. i still laugh when i think back on just how crazed he was about it. didn't matter that the photos dated back to the 1960s and 70s...

I dyed my hair last night from a dark blonde/light brown color to a much darker brown, almost black under some lights color. This meant I had to start parting it on the side again instead of the more relaxed, no-part look I had before. I just took three goofy pictures with my camera phone. They're appropriately saved as small smile, medium smile, and big smile.

Here's a suggestion when having to smile for a picture if you don't like your smile in pictures because you think it looks goofy or fake. Think of something genuinely funny to make you laugh and then take the picture. Personally, I usually think about the fact that I'm trying to think of something to make me laugh so I won't look goofy in a picture and that makes me laugh.

Paul scares me! He looks like some kind of mage/necromancer/warlock dude.

You mean he's not?

After that, the rest of us (me, Punchy, el heffe, C.O. Jones, and Royal) went to the Honey Bee Hive for the Comic Con Funk Jam. That went on till about 1:30 in the morning, which was the official end of the inaugural CBR Comic Con Pub Crawl.

My sister and her family were out last weekend, and her two-year-old got to ride on a real gen-u-INE tractor. He decided about a month ago that he's a farmer and he has a cowboy hat (well, it's his Mom's 2004 Madonna hat) that he wears all the time (sideways, so he can see), so when Dad got the tractor out he was in HEAVEN. Once they got to the pond, he wouldn't get off. Finally I got on so the rest of 'em could chuck rocks in the pond, and they took some pictures.

There's another one, but my eyes are closed and my chipmunk cheeks are humongous, so I'm not sharing that one. Also, note to self: stop wearing shorts.

It's absolutely crap. My whole mobile "experience" with this phone has been just terrible. I'm currently on the "3" network and there's barely enough coverage to "cover" a slice of bread. The phone itself is just lousy too. I can safely say that this is the worst 3G phone I have ever owned.

About forty pounds so far.

You should start getting rid off the weight now, your metabolism slows down the older you get and that makes it harder to keep the pounds off.

If you don't have the time to do weights then at least take some fruit with you for breakfast and lunch and eat that during the day. For weekly shopping avoid buying any junk, sugary food that will lie around the house.

And eat it. And eat it. I'm lucky that I'm a naturally skinny guy, but at 45 yrs even I find the flab starts to accumulate pretty easily now.

At least three years ago.

I was kinda worried they might not still be "in," actually.

The Midwest is always about 3-5 years behind the East Coast in fashion.

Since I'm on the East Coast, I'm SOL.

The shot of the kiss is me deejaying at a local club, the shots where I'm wearing a brown & white shirt with Japanese lettering [Motorcycle] is from a weekend trip to Columbus we took with some friends a few weeks ago. It actually turned out fine. I was over thinking things when I made that post. Jen left me to my own devices most of the night. Not forcing me to sit and chit-chat with all her co-workers, letting me sit at the end of the table talking basketball & video games with her little brother and movies with her younger sister and Mom.

It was a good day, and I'm happy I went. Even if it was a little awkward at times, sust the smile on her face at the end of the night made it all worthwhile.

The story. Well, the story is that here in San Francisco, I do shows at clubs dressed as a giant banana. I make movies and whatnot and do stand-up and narration as they play.
I do a lot of public service announcements like "Don't get crabs, they've got gonorrhea!" and "Choose the cheapest whore if you know what's good for you!"
I dress as the banana and go film myself in public insulting random people on the street. You'd be surprised how many people laugh simply because I'm in a banana when I say things I could never get away with without it.
Once, I even randomly ran into a guy dressed as a gorilla, so we staged a mock action battle complete with chase scene through Chinatown and giant fist-fight.

But they real story in this picture is that I was amazingly drunk and getting ready to perform.

That's what happens when you get your throat widened to swallow more Whiskey. That's much better than what you could've said.

My mistake. I looked it up and it was a jelly donut that wanted to battle her.

Oh, snap! why didn't I think of a jelly donut?!
So, she didn't battle him?

Me and my little buddy at his second trip to the beach. This time we took him to a quite spot where the waves don't crash. He had a blast. We both did. I had to cut the bottom part of the picture out because my wife had her finger over the lens. Doh!

You're 6'7, right?

How tall is your wife?

Almost 6'.

My daughter, who will be 6 in October, is already 4'2". I went on one of those height predictor sites and they've got her at 6'0". And my son, who turned 4 in May, is 3'6". The height predictor puts him at 5'11", but I think they're on crack. My younger brother was built like my son and started out fairly average in height, then shot up in high school and is now 6'10".
