Those were Bole' sunglasses. I wore them through a 6 month deployment to the Kuwait deserts, a few more months in Kuwait on a different occasion, and through a war in Iraq. They were awesome, but you can imagine that they got messed up. I bought a new pair a few months ago and retired the old pair for when I'm at the beach or doing yardwork.

Awesome. Right now I'm listening to a lot of doom, but I listen to tons of black metal too. I'm playing drums in a band right now that's kind of Darkthrone/Burzum style old school BM. I listen to some thrash as well - the British Sabbat is a personal favourite of mine, as well as the standard stuff like Sodom, Death Angel, and a few of the 90s retro bands like Guillotine and Cranium.

About a week ago, I shaved off the beard, and I got a major haircut on Saturday. I haven't had my hair this short in a long time, but it's cool because I don't have to do much. Put some stuff in it, mess it up a bit, and go.

Here's a picture I took last night. My neck looks HUGE in the picture. And is it just me or is my face slightly crooked? My left eye seems to be half-blinking. Oh, the sad days when you have to take pictures of yourself. I rarely ever get these to look right. In most of them, the flash is way too bright and I look like Casper's less tan friend. My greatest fear now is being compared to Nubly. His last picture frightens me to no end.

I do (did......WILL AGAIN!!) think of my grandfather during the Russian campaign on Call of Duty. But it deals with Stalingrad, mostly. He wasn't there.

I used to play an Avalon Hill game called Panzer Blitz, which was a strategic board game based on the armor battles at the WW2 Eastern front.

The biggest land battle of all history . . and most Americans don't know squat about it (actually I don't know as much as I should).

That's when I got it. As a kid, I was really into wearing shirts that were enormous on me. And now, thanks to my zeal for comfort, I have cool old shirts, without having to go to a thrift store and be a prick.
