Over on the Millarworld forums, the stellar Ryan Higgins has been sent a memo (he's a shopowner) stating that all orders have been cancelled. Hearing that, I went to the DC/Wildstorm website, where there were no announcements whatsoever, but all solicitations for these issues have been taken down. Now, I'm not sure what happened, but I was looking forward to Brubaker and Pearson on this. What do you guys think?

Here's a link to where they are discussing it at MillarWorld:

**UPDATE**

Mr. Brubaker has replied on MillarWorld, and confirmed that the book is cancelled, but he was not at liberty to discuss why. However, he did debunk the rumor that his Marvel contract was the reason. I hate to see this go.

RAZOR'S EDGE: WARBLADE sold very, very poorly. Maybe that had something to do with it.

You are most likely right, ED. But, I would think that Ed Brubaker's name attached to this would boost its sales tremendously. Hot writers tend to do that. I think that anthology series, while good ideas, usually don't make too big a splash. I think that these stories would probably sell better released individually, especially with new number one issues.

I must say I am pretty disappointed by this news as I was looking foward to Jason Pearson's art. It has been awhile since I have seen anything with his name attached.

Also IMO people have really been missing a good read with the Warblade storyline going on now. But that seems to be the norm with the Wildstorm books-great books that it seems no one is reading.

I guess it takes a missing solicitation for me to visit the Wildstorm Forum...damn!!! This was one mini I was really looking forward to reading.

I have Razor's Edge:Warblade 1 throught 3 but is the rest of it coming out or is it already out. I cant remember how many issues it was supposed to be. ALso I have had time to get to the comic book store, so if it's already out I probably wont be able to get an issue. This just doesnt make sense. I'm speechless.

The whole Warblade series is out. The final issue came out about a month ago.

The ordering form part of Previews that came out this week listed Redbird as cancelled for all solicitations that were already advertised. It just said "cancelled by publisher".

From what I heard, DC really wanted to publish it. Apparently it was a personal thing either on Brubaker's part or Pearson's (maybe a disagreement between the two ?).

Yes, this looked to be very good. It's a cryin shame that Jason put out more work.

I really wanted to buy Redbird, since I totally dig Warblade. It´s a shame. :(

The comic world was aflutter earlier this week, with the sudden and abrupt announcement that all orders for Jason Pearson’s Redbird miniseries have been canceled, with no plans to resolicit it in the future. There are a number of rumors flying around, but reliable sources have confided that basically, Wildstorm/DC lost faith in Pearson's ability to finish the miniseries. Word is that Pearson had been working on the project for over a year but never drew more than a handful of pages for the second issue.

Well, I kind of do hope the rumors are true...this might mean that they will still publish the Razor's Edge mini's in the future.
