Well, it's not like she's going to forget the Ninja Skills. She's just going to have to retrain her British Body to be able to perform her wild 'Ninja Fu'. :)

Despite her radical transformation into a ninja assassin for the Hand, I want to see British purple hair Betsy Braddock return. Ninja Psylocke's character growth became stilted as the X-editors & writers knew not what to do with the mutant telepath such as the backfired attempt to untangle her origin with the introduction of Kwannon (Revanche) that made the knot even larger. If not for the Kwannon-Revanche mess, I would still agree to keep Psylocke an Asian ninja. However, the only way to untie the knot is to revert Betsy back to her original body.

Yes, I'm hoping Psylocke's telepathy is restored too...

i voted asian, but i dont think it really matters. even when she was asian she wasnt really drawn to be. id prefer she stay dead but thats not happening, and overall i enjoyed psylocke as a character more in her asian form than her british form. thus, asian.

you guys forgetting about Kwannon/Revanche? she was the british version but with ninja skills, so i guess her body was just right (before Legacy). :)

Factor Three fails to see the point of this thread. The return has happened and the choice has been made. What purpose does this thread serve? Will people now begin to debate which hairstyle Colossus should return with? Constructive discussion on the return of dead characters should focus on the realities of the situation.

The British Psylocke would be nice, but I don't particularly care anymore.

I was goin to say something along the lines that a return to British Betsy would be nice if for no other reason than it would erase all the confusion about 'How is she Asian now', but really it would probably just serve to confuse things further.

British Betsy would be nice, just since she's been Asian Psylocke so long now. But either way for me.

Of course, Jean Grey just had to come back and screw it all up, because -- you know -- you can never have two telepaths on the same book (hence, Emma going all diamond, like Psylocke went all physical).

Blargh. If I had my way, I would have my old Betts, and Jean dead again. Since Jean Grey will now never die, I wish Betts would stay dead. Let her be in peace.

I'd rather see her back to her british self. It's hard for me to take her asian look seriously, or at least it was in the old issues beacuse then she simply seemed like a porn star inserted into the comic so guys would keep buying rather than a real character.

I want her to be what Clermont had her becoming way back when when he left the X-Men in the 90's. I didn't really like his version when he came back and wrote both titles for awhile. I never really read enough of her in X-Treme to know what was up, other than she had a really hot costume, garters and everything. The splash of her lying there in 455, ahhhhh (drools). Anyway, it looks like we are getting the Asian, very powerful TK, smoking hot version of Betsy. I would like to see some ninja skills thrown in there, and maybe some telepathy. The team over in X-Men doesn't have a telepath, so I'd like to see her over there, but that would mean that Clermont wouldn't be writing her. Anyway, I'm just glad that she's back.

Maybe one of you more nerdy nerds can answer this form me. In the recent issue of Uncanny, that looked like asian Kwannon-body Psylocke, but according to the staff at the installation they did DNA tests and it was Betsy Braddock. Betsy's body with Kwannon's mind died of the legacy virus, right?

They'd be working with DNA information they gained during X-Treme's first encounter with them. At that point she was in the Asian body. So while the DNA isn't the DNA of the original Betsy Braddock body it is the same DNA they had previously sampled and assigned as Betsy Braddock's DNA.

from whats been released to date, as well as the past issues, it looks like betsy might be back initially in the asian form, but i have the feeling that shes going to be retconned under claremont back to the original origin of the asian body, which would make a return to british betsy much easier!

While I always liked Besty, she didn't come into her own until she became a ninja telepath. While not as powerful as her fomer self she was extremely more intersting.

Let her stay hard though- she always wanted the warrior's role. She shouldn't be an emotionless Sage clone, because she never has been, but she should have that vicious streak that was exhibited in the Australian years.

I voted for Asian Ninja Betsy, although from what has been going on in recent issues of Uncanny, I'd say British Betsy is coming back (probably once Mojo appears).

I just hope she gets her telepathy back and loses the telekenisis.

I wonder though....if she comes back British, does she return with Mojo's camera eyes?

Well it would all be aesthetics anyway. As the whole prim and proper thing was a self admitted facade by the character, and as she is happy personally where she is it would basically be a visual thing.

British would be good because it would clean the character up and make her palatable for use in other mediums.

Asian has sort of a unique appeal though.

Plus it seems to be a popular form with the artist out there.

I say keep her Asian. Why not really. Not only that i like the idea of a character who was changed so drastically yet seems to not care all that much. Everyone else has to bitch all the time about it so it's a nice change of pace.

Considering the reflection scenes and all, somehow I have a feeling like there's gonna be so much more with her some of which involving her body. I dunno how they'd bring a long-rotten body but I bet CC knows what he's doing...
