Now there might be spoilers for the Legends of the Dark Knight #19 with that infamous Giant Penny story but irregardless.

I was wondering, since I haven't read the story in a loooooong time, did Coyne build that giant penny to get inside the building to do his heist? I'm not sure why I'm asking the question, but it just bothers me that a two bit thief like Coyne would waste all that money and expertise in constructing a giant penny just to rob a place of money.

One would think....

Anyways, any answers to this obscure question would be appreciated. ;)

I thought I read a Two-face comic years ago. Batman(or Robin) was tied to one half and it was set up to have the coin flipped. So if it landed on him he'd die and if not he'd just break all his bones.

Maybe it was the animated series?

That was from the episode: "Almost Got 'im", available on Batman the Animated series: Volume 2 (Currently awaiting devilvery of my copy).

I seem to remember that it was also from a Pre-Crisis Two-Face story, where he did something similar to the animated series story... basically, he tied Batman and Robin to one side and flipped it toward some spikes, knowing their weight would force them to land on the spikes, but they used their belt radios to, uh, do some weird Silver Age thing with frequencies that forced the penny to land tails down. Then they busted ass, as usual.

I remember seeing the penny with an x across it before. Not always but some artists have drawn it with that x which would signify a two-face connection. (Breyfogle maybe?)
