What's your favorite Final Fantasy Music? Any song or music in FF is allowed, from Battle themes to boss music. :D

The Battle Music that is stuck in my head the msot is FF8.
Laguna flahs back battles. It is the Techno beat "pop Corn Pop" but with music added in.
It is still in my head!
Edit: My favorite theme music ever. Is Magnus from Chrono Trigger.
Followed by Robo's theme. (Dunno why.) And well my favorite intro music ever is "The World's Dream." (I am a Chrono Trigger fan boy. Chrono Cross neve rhappened! Damnit!)

Most, if not all, of the character themes from VI stand out in my mind. In particular are the Locke/Celes and Terra themes.

Am I the only person who ever put in a FF7 disk, listened to the music that plays before you start the game and started singing 'Let My Love Open the Door' by Pete Townshend?

Tough to pick an absolute favorite, though its probably either War of the Magi or Ending Theme, both from FF6.
Most all of FF6 music is extremely good, as well.
Amongst the vocal music stuff, I like Suteki Dane best.

FF-X2 of course

FF6 has a lot of good stuff. FF9 also has a good track or too. One Winged Angel is good, but works better as music for video than it does as just music.

The "Oh my Hero" song from Final Fantasy six.. Damn that was so good...
The Hymn of the Fayth from X is VERY haunting at certain points.

The military airship theme from part 4 is the ultimate "let's go kick some ass" music!
I also like the more desperate sounding boss music from that game.
Magus theme was pretty godly, the crystal theme is pure classic but I really love Snowfield from part 6, and the Cyan theme (all that soaring pipey sounding stuff sounds really epic to me I guess)
One theme? Probably the Opera from FF6. That of FF7's overworld music.

Man, only one? Ack... Off the top of my head, I like Terra's theme and the Opera from FF6, the Chocobo theme, One-Winged Angel, Aeris's theme... I can't choose, although I'm leaning a bit towards Aeris's theme, if only because I've heard a couple of remixes that make that song even more touching than it already is.

The Opera Theme/Celes' Theme [FF 6]
One Winged Angel/Aeris' Theme/Cosmo Canyon theme [FFVII]

I don't think I can choose a single piece, but FF6 had the best soundtrack overall.

I like all the music from Final Fantasy 4: Celtic Moon, but if I had to pic, I'd say the main theme (Track 1). Haven't heard the in-game music yet, though. :D

The main theme is my favorite, too, but Track 1 is the Prelude.
So you haven't played FF4? It was the first video game I played where the story really mattered.

Maybe I'm thinking about Track 2? Whatever track it is, its repeated for the final or next to final track, with some opera singer singing with the music.

No, but I own it, though. I bought up all the FF games cause I figured Square would stop making it, so...I tend to do that, get the games before I get the system. Usually when the game's old, though.

Must be a different album. Celtic Moon is instrumental only, no singing.

Wait, confusing that with Enya's first album. The track I'm talking about, when its repeated near the end uses a violin I think. Its been a while and I've sense lost the album. :(

Cyan's Theme from FF3/FF6. It fits him perfectly - noble, majestic and dignified.
Edgar anbd Sabin's are perfect for them, too. Royal trumpeting.
Most of the music from that game rocks.

OK for there are 3, First the all powerful One Wiged Angel from FF7.
Then, both from FF9 (wierdly I thought that have the best music overall)
the theme when Zidane is a bit on the mad side, trying to figure out who he is and fights along side every one. (yes the name has escaped me but I like it).
And the great and almighty, Black Mage Village.

"Rise from your grave!" :D
Recently purchased the soundtracks to Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest and Final Fantasy IV: Celtic Moon. I've really been enjoying both. And JUST placed an order for the soundtracks to FF 1&2 (2 disc set) and FF3.
Favorite tunes: On Mystic Quest, its "Shrine of Light", and for Celtic Moon, its "Rydia."

I have to go with the sub-boss battle music from Final Fantasy II. You hear the music the first time you fight a Lamia, but also with the Gigas' in the Mysidia Tower.

See, I'm doing things a bit backwards here: with the exception of Mystic Quest, and FF 7, 8, and 10, I haven't really played any of the FF games. So, when I get the CDs (hopefully they'll be in the mail today), it'll be brand new to me. :) I'll look for those tracks, though. Its just that the music for FF is so good.
I figured I'd go ahead and get the soundtrack to part 3, since Square/Enix are dragging their feet releasing it for the DS, and this is a close I can get in the meantime. :(

What's interesting is that starting with part 6, the soundtracks became sets. 6 is like 3 CDS, and 7 through 10 are all 4 CDs each! Part 11 is 2 CDs, I think. That's a lot of music! ;)

I always thought it was funny that the FF6 soundtrack takes up almost 2000 megabytes on CD when the entire game is only 24 megabytes.

Ha! The game music, seperately, is bigger than the game itself! :D
I'm wondering if I should get the original sound version of FF4. Mystic Moon is like a Celtic spin on it, so I guess it doesn't really count.
