Hey Everyone,

Once Batman Inc and Captain Marvel come out, my pull list will consist of 24 books plus a few minis. I have been dropping/adding as I have gone along (mostly DC, but I am 100 percent a marvel/X-men fanboy)

In a perfect world, I would like to get that list down to as close to 20 as possible for a few reasons...what would you cut and why?

Marvel

Uncanny X-Men
X-Men
Wolverine and the X-Men
X-Men Legacy
Uncanny X-Force
Avengers
Secret Avengers
New Avengers
Mighty Thor
Journey Into Mystery
Amazing Spider-Man
Avenging Spider-Man
Incredible Hulk
Hulk
Fantastic Four
Wolverine
Captain Marvel
DC
Wonder Woman
Batman
Batman and Robin
Batman Incorporated
Green Lantern
Green Lantern Corps

Saga
What do you guys think? And thanks in advance for the replies!

I deleted what I would get rid of him. Not ideal for you, I'm sure. Just my opinion.

Pick up more Image for the extra books I got rid of.

Only buy the comics you really look forward to reading each month. Don't buy the comics you're only buying out of habit.

Cut out all the DC books. Gives you one less comic universe to follow and you like Marvel better anyway.

Drop both Lanterns. Pick up Aquaman. Drop Incredible Hulk and maybe The Mighty Thor too. I have my doubts about Captain Marvel (Ms. turned Cap is it?) Might have to drop that too. Pick up FF as long as Hickman does it. Avengers Acadamy great book too.

Drop all DC and Marvel and get more Image, Adventure Time, Dynamite's The Shadow/Spider and IDW's Popeye; after you get on that, get Pekar's Cleveland.

Uncanny X-Men
X-Men
Wolverine and the X-Men
X-Men Legacy
Uncanny X-Force

Mighty Thor
Journey Into Mystery
Amazing Spider-Man
Avenging Spider-Man
Incredible Hulk

Fantastic Four
Wolverine
Captain Marvel
Wonder Woman
Batman
Batman and Robin
Batman Incorporated
Green Lantern
Green Lantern Corps
Saga

Trim-off:

Incredible Hulk. Reason: One of the worst comics on the stands despite carrying a superstar writer.

Hulk. Reason: I mean, really?!?

Wolverine. Reason: The book is about to become really inconsistent. Unless, ya wanna hang on through Jeph Loeb's lupine stuff.

Saga. Reason: It's not as good as your hipster friends make it out to be. Your welcome.

For what it's worth, here you go. For the most part, the approach I used was to get rid of any overlaps as much a possible.

Marvel
Wolverine and the X-Men
Uncanny X-Force
Avengers
Secret Avengers
The Mighty Thor
Amazing Spider-Man
Incredible Hulk
Fantastic Four
Captain Marvel

DC
Wonder Woman
Batman
Batman Incorporated
Green Lantern

Thanks for the replies, all

The titles I am on the fence over, and are considering dropping are:
Incredible Hulk (only thing keeping me from not dropping it is I love hulk smash, even though there hasnt been any)
GLC
Avenging Spider Man
X-Men
X-Men Legacy
Batman Inc (I dropped Action because I didnt like it at all, and was shocked because Morrison was writing it)
Journey Into Mystery
Saga - was originally planning on waiting for trade but have picked up the first 2 issues because of all the buzz surrounding it and its brian k vaughn and i loved y the last man

good point about batman inc...i didnt read the first volume, do you think I will be lost, since this is a continuation?

Personally i like new avengers, almost more than avengers, so thats staying

Also, valid point on avenging

Wolverine is my fave character, so thats staying regardless

true about hulk, im a huge hulk fan, but the book isnt doing it for me, but im hanging on for now..im a bigger fan of red than green hulk right now, i think parker is killing it on red

So far Legacy and GLC have been dropped, so im down to 22 books a month

Want to try to get close to 20

I would drop avenging spider man, but i like spidey, and i like what they are doing in the book

Saga i might just wait for trade, but i want to support image and what they are doing so that stays

Saga - was originally planning on waiting for trade but have picked up the first 2 issues because of all the buzz surrounding it and its brian k vaughn and i loved y the last man

If anything, trade-wait one of the mainstream superhero titles and support Saga on the frontlines as it wre.

Keep the Bolded books.

Marvel

Uncanny X-Men (This book is terrible. Drop it)
X-Men (Brian Wood is coming aboard soon, give him a shot)
Wolverine and the X-Men (Best X-Book on the stands)
X-Men Legacy
Uncanny X-Force (was 2nd best X-book on the stands, now it's 3rd)
Avengers (Bendis Avengers suck. Drop it)
Secret Avengers (This book is going nowhere. Drop it)
New Avengers (Ugh, Bendis Avengers. Drop it)
Mighty Thor (Fraction has lost it. Drop it)
Journey Into Mystery (I hear great stuff about this)
Amazing Spider-Man
Avenging Spider-Man (worthless. Drop it)
Incredible Hulk (Terrible book. Drop it)
Hulk (I hear good stuff)
Fantastic Four
Wolverine (Loeb is about to come back. Drop it after Bunn)
Captain Marvel

DC
Wonder Woman (I didn't care for it, but others love it)
Batman (DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT DROPPING THIS!)
Batman and Robin (this book is easily as good as Batman)
Batman Incorporated (if you didn't read the first volume, don't get this)
Green Lantern (it's been fun up until the Indigo Tribe, not sure why I hate them so much)
Green Lantern Corps (better than Green Lantern)

Image
Saga (this book is a lot of fun)

I would also recommend you check out New Mutants, Atomic Robo, Invincible, and Nightwing.

Only buy the comics you really look forward to reading each month. Don't buy the comics you're only buying out of habit.

Came here to say this.

If you are not sure which books you are only buying out of habit, try this experiment: Let a few issues of each book pile up for a few weeks/months/whatever their publishing schedule is. If when you finally read the book you don't really feel like you have missed all that much, then you are probably reading it out of habit. Drop the book and/or buy it when it is collected into a TPB.
