If you could only get ONE X-Men title what would it be?
With the abundance of titles out there and people tend to get 4/5 (of the people i know) so i am now wondering if you can only choose ONE X-Men title to get a month what would it be?
Oh and PLEASE excuse the spelling mistake of Astinashing

While there are some very good books listed in that poll, it lacks the only rational choice: X-Club.

If it was just the one then it would have to be X-factor. Not just because of the writing but because it's not as reliant on being interconnected with other books and therefore pretty standalone.

UXF without a doubt. It is still the best written book out there, and Opena is coming back. Which means no one can touch this book once again.....

Uncanny X-Men.
It's my longest uninterrupted run. The entire X-line is strong right now, I am even enjoying Gischler's current arc

Even though my favorite characters are all on other books, I like the writing in X-Factor better than (most) of the rest of them. So that's got my vote.

Uncanny X-Force, no doubt. Remender is great and the book has Nightcrawler (even if it isn't the real one).

Easy choice, Wolverine and the X-Men. It's the only one currently that genuinely interests me and actually brings a smile to my face when I read.

Why is AvX and the Vs. titles included?
My only title would be Wolverine and the X-Men. That is perhaps the funniest book I have read of the bunch. I also love seeing characters like Broo, the Bamfs, and Genesis.
I really empathize with Genesis, I hope he breaks the mold and remains a hero instead of a villain like Apocalypse.

I think I'm currently most satisfied with X-Factor, even though they NEVER have good villains and haven't had a perfect-fit for an artist since Sook/Calero. The character's voices are all really distinct and familiar and their interactions really drive the book past its faults. Sometimes the smarmy Madrox jokes are annoying and adult Layla Miller is never fun, but the past year of stories has been the closest rival to the title's near-flawless first twelve issues.

X-Factor is a consistently good book, but you're right. The villains fall flat each time.......

What's her attitude like? Is it callous with a bit of a soft side like Raven, or is it the like the "Other Tyra?" Or is she another Ju Ju Bea? I would be watching the show, but I have no television. Luckily Netflix is phasing out their movie catalog for television series, so I may get to watch this seasons' Drag Race if/when they load it to Netflix. Currently, I am watching Hot in Cleveland. That show is a blast for me.
Netflix has both seasons of Drag Race to stream. I watched them on there via my apple tv. However I jailbroke my apple tv and I'm pretty much gonna cancel Netflix now. I can pretty much stream any movie or tv show I want via XBMC.

Wow XFactor is doing well, maybe I should start reading it. Peter David just annoys me though, I don't want to read what he's writing.
For me its very close between UXF and WATXM, WATXM is my favourite at the moment and Im not a fan of the current UXF arc, but its been soooooooo good in the past I'd be willing to wait for it to get amazing again.

I'd be devastated if I were forced to only follow ONE title in the X-world, but if push came to held-at-gun-point, I'd have to continue following Uncanny X-Men.
The direction, characters, and subplots keep me on edge.

I voted X-Factor because it's included in the poll, but I'd rather say it's my favourite mutant title. I don't consider it an X-Men book.
Strictly speaking, my favourite X-Men title is WatXM.
Bingo!
03-09-2012, 01:02 PM
Uncanny X-Force. The emotional impact of Remender's stories are the best I've read in years. Opena + White, in fact all art teams, have provided dark, rich worlds perfectly complimenting Remender's style.
Uncanny X-Men would give UXF a run if Land wasn't on the book. His art lacks the nuance Gillen's writing desperately needs. W&tXM is just plain fun, but hasn't been hasn't been out long enough.

After the most recent issue of Uncanny, I really can't decide. I think WatX is the freshest, most fun X-Men book since Morrison. However, with this latest Uncanny arc, Gillen has brought a sensibility and charm to the table that I've really responded to. I'm pleased with how much I'm enjoying the two core books.

I like WATXM because even though it's a bit formulaic it's fun and there's no time to stare at the pattern reading it. X-Factor is reliable long term and I'm enjoying Generation Hope alot. Especially with the most recent artist. The clear staging helps alot.

UXF is the best book out. I'm legitimately confused how it's coming in 4th place. UXM had the Sinister arc, which was just not good; followed up by this arc based on a world created in UXF. WATXM is mindless fun. But I feel like I could get the same enjoyment reading a Deadpool comic as WATXM. I imagine DP fans are loving WATXM.

No, you're not alone in this. I buy them all semi-regularly (with the exception of Gen Hope, which I've only gotten a few issues of).
I'm conflicted on what to do if I could only buy one. I guess I'd buy WaTXM, but buy Uncanny X-Men and X-Force in the LCS.

Interesting...for all the fan love and "critical acclaim" Uncanny X-Force gets, it's currently in 4th place behind X-Factor. I voted for X-Factor, of course, and I'm happy to see it's still getting a lot of love since I live in constant fear of it being cancelled lol.
not shocking that the two flagship titles are presently in 1st and 2nd though...personally I would have a hard time picking a favorite between them.

If you haven't read it, try and find the back issues. The first 50 form a giant storyarc (how come Layla Miller knows stuff and what is the Summers Rebellion?) that is even better than the current story. The 5-part Madrox mini that convinced Marvel to make this an ongoing and the Layla Miller one-shot are also recommended.
P.S. After #50 the book jumps to #200 to add the 149 issues of the previous version of X-Factor (even though the two are very different), so there aren't so many back issues as it seems at first.

Man, it's actually a hard pick between W&TXM and Uncanny. W&TXM is obviously a hell of a lot of fun, and i catch myself grinning while reading it...but Uncanny has more gravitas and the cast has more potential for intergroup drama...
I'm glad we have both tbh. Great time to be an X-Fan. Hope AVX doesn't kill this rare momentum.
X-Force is great too obviously, but this current arc and anything connected to Marvel UK is pure SHIT. IMO. I'd rather read New Mutants.
