Stories like these always bring a smile to my face.

One of my senior colleagues at work still holds his head in sorrow. His books, all in one cardboard box and including a genuine Batman #1, were tossed into a rubbish truck when he was a teen. 40 years later, he can't get over it.

What's sad is he only cared about the monetary value of the comics. If I'd found those comics in an attic I'd keep most of them...
