Is the 90's series worth buying? How is the new series from IDW?

Thanks.

It depends.

I think the original series is pretty good. There are a lot of weird twists and turns, especially as time travel plays a part in the series.

The new series is a great follow-on, but if you're not familiar with it, it may not make a lot of sense.

IDW has collected the original series, so should be easy to find.

I thought it was good. It is one of those series that you need to read from the beginning, for the story to make sense. The original series felt a little messy towards the end, but Byrne really did a great job of getting the series back on track with the new series.

I re-read the whole series a few years ago, I thought it was crap.

The artwork was decent (when Byrne could still draw), but the story was just all over the place. It was a series that had no point to it...

Picked up the first volume that was printed in B&W. I liked it. Byrne's art looks great. The story is OK. It was good enough to get me to buy the second volume next week.
