AvX: Bring on the villains(?)

Forgive me if this has been addressed in another post.:redface:

The last time we had some hero on hero action in Civil War, the villains mostly stayed out of it. What will the villains be up to during AvX? It's stupid that these guys try to kill the heroes 365 days a year, but when they're distracted fighting each other they don't even try to take advantage of it and take over the world or whatever. You'd think Kang and Mr. Sinister would team up and kill all of them.

In a few interviews the writers have said that the villians will be marginals in the AVX series, but they will be present in the ties-in. If I remember correctly, Gillen has confirmed that Sinister will be in Uncanny.

Well they said people were going to die in AvX, and in Civil War, nobody unambiguously heroic purposely killed anyone; of the eight deaths during the event, Venom killed Typeface, Bantam died by accident, the Thor clone killed Goliath (and that clone was definitely supposed to be something morally-ambiguous given that even Iron Man was disgusted that it killed him), and the rest were killed by the Punisher. If they're going for a similar tone here, I'd imagine the villains and anti-heroes will therefore get to do something.

I suspect the Hellfire Club will be involved in the book called Wolverine and the X-Men.

The X-men are the villains. First Cable in X-Sanction, then Dictator Scott Summers. With Wolverine caught in the middle.

My predictions are that:

a) Wolverine ultimately sides with the Avengers, thus cementing his status as a "good guy" in the Marvel Universe;
b) Cable shows up in the middle of this thing (possibly after escaping Avengers custody where he'll likely be by the end of X-Sanction #4) and fights on Team X-men; and
c) the X-men ultimately lose this thing and become terrorists/outlaws and have to go underground (except for Wolverine and the folks at the Jean Grey School).

I'm betting that at least "a" and "c" happen and really hoping for "b" too.

Most of the x-villains have died or become x-men. I can't think of many left. These beefed-up jock Avengers are just looking for a fight, and w/ all the villains gone, they pick on the X-men because they are different.

I know, right? It seems like all the X-Folks' villains just went "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em!" Magneto, Emma Frost, Danger, Kid Apocalypse...the only big name baddies that haven't joined up are Sinister and Shadow King. The Avengers are coming out like dicks in this. Wolvie, Beast, Storm, X-23, and Quicksilver need to stop being race traitors and leave that team of elitist thugs.

how the crap does the average 616 human look at an Avengers team that includes Magneto among it's ranks and take it seriously? This is supposed to be a group consisting of Heroes, despite their human shortcomings, and as the title of his current book suggests, he is not one.

I hate how much regular people are meant to put up with regarding their elite Super Heroes in the Marvel Books. These aren't the X-men after all.
