Yeah, I figured we could have a thread for storing, discussing and analyzing all of the few, the brave, members of the X-men who aren't ACTUALLY members of the Homo Superior sub-species. =)
Now, there isn't admittedly THAT many of these, but I'm pretty sure we'd be surprised by how actually many there are, once we start counting them...
All right, let's get down to it! How many do YOU guys know about??
I'll start out with a few easy ones, so we get those out of the way.
Non-Mutant members:

since he is a clone of Apocalypse and Apocalypse was a mutant then i think yes? Correct me if i'm wrong.
Is Maddie a mutant? Do her powers come from the Phoenix Force or were they just cloned from Jean?
Predabot

Maddie would automatically be a mutant since she is a clone of Jean...
I'm also pretty sure she wouldn't be able to use the Phoenix-force without being an omega-level mutant.
I am also putting a ban on any de-powered mutants, that's not really the preference of anyone who's a fan of the characters, and not the point of this thread.
Also, anybody else think these 8 characters would make for one unbelievably AWESOME X-men team?? ^^

Deadpool's a human, he got his healing factor from the Canadian government.
Oh, and there's Danger and Broo.

Shatterstar's a horny alien.
Mimic was introduced as a non-mutant, however I'm not sure how he is classified now.
Most are not X-Men in the strictest sense, but regardless not mentioned so far:
(Dark) Phoenix (Force) - Cosmic entity
Madrox - Changeling/Killcrop
Lockheed - Alien
Hepzibah - Alien
Ariel - Alien
Ink - Human
Deathlok -Cyborg
Moira - Human
Kavita Rao - Human
Korvus - Alien
Pip - Troll
Warbird - Alien
Kid Gladiator - Alien

I thought Ariel was a mutant... just an alien mutant:confused:
Edit: Looking back at the OP, Ariel technically isn't homo-superior since she isn't human. Nevermind.
What about Psylocke?

Isn't Psylocke half-mutant like Namor?

I have no idea. To me she was a mutant even in her original body but didn't she and her brother got her powers from Otherworld or something?

What exactly is a half mutant? The current definition of a mutant is someone with an active X-gene. It's not really something you can have half of. Namor is half air-breather and half Atlantean, which doesn't have anything to do with him being a mutant, AFAWK.

Yeah... but do these two actually count as X-men in any sense of the word? Both have only been members of X-force, who I'm not sure can be counted as actual X-men.
And as far as I know, Deadpool was never a member of the original X-force, only of Wolverine's current X-force, which is obviously something wholly different from the X-men proper.
Danger and Broo should definitely count, even though I am fairly distraught at the thought of including Broo, since he obviously is a mutant Brood. Not human-strain in any sense of the word, no, but mutant none the less. ( cue Warlock-ee double-standards!)

Moira - Human
Kavita Rao - Human
Korvus - Alien
Pip - Troll
Warbird - Alien
Kid Gladiator - Alien
Since I'm not sure if it's actually clear-cut if the Phoenix is actually originally derived from Jean or the other way around, I'm not including it. Besides... it's only ever been the wielders who have been members of the team. When the force takes control it always becomes one of their enemies.
Madrox is a mutant, just a different variant. If we are to go by different variations, then Jean Grey and the Five Lights would be disqualified as well. So we won't.
Ink being a human empowered by the tattoo's made by a mutant is certainly a surprise! Huh..
Warbird is close enough, I suppose... even though I bet she herself doesn't see herself as an X-man, and has no true will be one either.
Everybody else goes without saying, except for Pip the Troll...
He's a member of X-factor, if hardly even that, just the accountant, and X-factor is not currently fighting in any way, shape or form for Xavier's dream. Hence, he's exempt from the list. BANNED, even. ;)

True. I meant that she's half-human and that the half not tied to Otherworld is mutant, but as you say the X-gene makes you a mutant regardless.
Madrox is a mutant, just a different variant. If we are to go by different variations, then Jean Grey and the Five Lights would be disqualified as well. So we won't.
Killcrops predate mutants. Tryp was born in the fourteenth century. They're not a kind of mutant - if anything, mutants are a kind of killcrop.

She's about to join the Astonishing line-up. I'd say that by involving herself in something other than guarding Kid Gladiator she's choosing to become an X-Man.

@Jarrod: You are god-like. Thank you, kind Sir. It'll be tricky to weed some of them out tho'...
Killcrops predate mutants. Tryp was born in the fourteenth century. They're not a kind of mutant - if anything, mutants are a kind of killcrop.
This is a pretty silly argument to have...
But anyway, a Kill-crop is a X-gene -endowed human that is simply born with his mutation active, instead of activating at puberty( main-line), or at a pre-pubescent, post-birth age( Omega).
As such, Apocalypse and Selene are most definitely both Kill-crops as well, but they both seem to wish to define themselves as mutants instead.
Listing various variations on Homo-Superior seems like a totally different thread to me, dude. ( I actually made one of those, btw.)
She's about to join the Astonishing line-up. I'd say that by involving herself in something other than guarding Kid Gladiator she's choosing to become an X-Man. Hmm... well, I'm not entirely convinced by that, we'll see what her reasons are first, yes?
She's closely related enough to count as an X-man tho', I'll give you that.
X-Factor and New Mutants are the only groups living Xavier's dream of peaceful co-existence alongside humans while everyone else hides away in seclusion on floating asteroid islands and in closed-gated mansions.
Dude... I'm not putting Pip the Troll on the list!
End-of. Not happening. Finito!
jarrod

Killcrops are just muants who manifsted in the womb or at birth. As time went on mutants started manifesting later (usually around puberty) which makes sense from an evolutionary viewpoint.
Killcrops tend to be lower power mutants too, the only real exceptions I can think of being Xavier and Meggan. Selene and Apocalypse are crazy powerful, but not necessarily due to their mutations.
Dude... I'm not putting Pip the Troll on the list!
End-of. Not happening. Finito!
I couldn't care less, lol. Your list arbitrates nothing but your personal capricious judgements. You asked for the opinions of others, and I'm entitled to defend mine whether you decide it relevant or not. You've given no justifiable reason to void it, so allow me to quote your own words back at you:
This is a pretty silly argument to have...

Yeah I'm drawing a blank. I know she has been friends/affiliated. But I can't actually remember her in any issues. Was she retconned in for some off panel adventures or something?

Strange... I had never heard of this character, yet I have read lots of X-books since the 80's!
Admittedly... there are big holes in my New Mutants -reading, so there's where the bulk of her depictions appears to lie.

Carol lived and worked with team for an extended period, she was basically an X-Man in all but name and only left when they let Rogue in. She was also ONE's XSE liason, so basically an X-Man there too.

LOL, I'm well aware of her history, but she was hardly basically an X-Man. She was a patient of Xavier's, helped them out on a few missions, considered joining, and then said no. Regardless of why, it's pretty clear that she's basically never been an X-Man.
