i'd nominate the following...
Jacob Gavin jr. (ability to 'speak' to all of the cells in his body)
Gamemaster (the only omnipath i can think of)
Sugarman (because i haven't figure out what his powers are)
Malcolm (from Bishop's XSE squad could detect humans...*snicker*)
Benazir Kaur (from Shinobi Shaw's Hellfire Club could exacerbate an already-existing illness ex. she increased the size of the cancer in Gambit's lungs)
Blob (he's one of a kind but i'm not sure that's a good thing)
Sage (is pretty different now that her powers can pretty much be anything the writer needs them to be)
Prism (absorbing and redirecting energy isn't all that unique but his crystalline form was farely unusual/better when Penance did it)
hey, does anyone know if Rex was a mutant? i just find it strange that Apocalypse would keep him around if he was just a normal human. i thought he might be a translator like Cypher because of his appearance in X-Man but i doubt it.

gambit had cancer in his lungs?!? as for uniqueness i think psylockes ablication of her telepathy into the form of a psionic knife was pretty unique in its own merit. i always thought they should have just made her a psi knife wielder and gotten rid of the whole telepathic crap. as for unique powers, i remember that mutant girl who could change the colour of flowers [lol] oh and the mutant "the host" who's body would house thousands of viruses allowing her to even create new ones that she communicated with as if they were real people. -

Shortpack and The Host from Mystique both qualify as unique.

well Remy was a heavy smoker back in the day. you should have seen it. his chest started bubbling with the cancer. not pretty and i'm not sure how he survived it. anyways, yeah, i think Psylocke made more sense as a telekinetic. but, to be fair, she did start out as a telepath back when she was british. there was a mutant who could change the color of flowers? that's gotta suck. a sentinel could hunt her down and she'd have to throw multi-colored flowers at him. the host was pretty original. i'm surprised that Apocalypse never picked her up as one of his Horsemen; Plague.

The mutant in issue 20-21 of Wolvirene thats kills him (forgot his name) he has the power to kill any mutant he sees (which is tight, but kinda lame in a way)

Gorgon, and he's mostly a ripoff of Demise from the Wild Cards novels. *sigh*
Whatever else you say about Maggott, he had a unique power: two big bug/worm things that served as an autonomous digestive system.

speaking of that, Fantomex comes to mind. what was Gorgon's power?
never mind. i see it above. how does he kill any mutant he sees? is it a laser blast? do they just drop dead?
P.S. i'd like to add Dirtnap to the list

rex was human, im pretty sure...
so then Sugarman sent a human to kill Nate Grey? that's really...weird. all he had was a gun and some knives.

Tarot and Roulette from the Hellions.
And he's not a mutant, but Prometheus of the Pantheon (from the Hulk series) had the power to be able to track anyone, even across the galaxy. Now that's pretty cool.

It was described in Wolverine #20 that he can kill anybody just by looking at them in the eyes. In Wolverine #24 he took off his sunglasses and apparently turned S.H.I.E.L.D. agents into stone. So apparently that's his power. So while the statement that he kills anybody by looking at him is technically true, it's really just a vague power description.

he's definately an original. similar to him was the Collective Man; whose powers are really hard to define since they keep changing.

Tempo from the Mutant Liberation Force was interesting. She could speed up or slow down time for herself and anyone else around her. Really key to the MLF being effective.

later it was revealed that she just slows down a person's perception of time (she's a psi). kind of weird because it always looked like people were actually being slowed down or sped up.

I'll go with Mikhail Rasputin, because I don't think ANYONE has a clear understanding of his powers that they can communicate to others. He manipulates energy... somehow. And he can use that to teleport and alter reality... somehow. But if anyone can explain exactly what he does without looking it up (and maybe not even then), you'll have impressed me more than I can say.

I think Abyss is a pretty intriguing creation as far as mutant powers go.
Sugarman's powers included the obviously weird mass and shape, a tongue of an indeterminate length that can pierce bodies not in an entirely coporeal form, and he can control his mass, but basically it's shrink-shedding, I think. He can't exceed his maximum mass, but he has shrunk to avoid death, I assume he leaves behind a husk of his old self, shrinks down, and then grows back to normal size like Gary Coleman in my wildest dreams.
Now, Mikhail's power definition depends on when you catch him. If you caught him in the AoA, the third person omniscient tells us that he manipulates energy, but it looks as if that control is limited to cybernetically enhanced humans. In the Marvel Universe we know and love he can manipulate matter/energy forms, hence when he turns Iceman into all Ice as opposed to just an candy Ice shell that melts in...the sun...and not in the...uh...Danger...room...look, the point is, he manipulate states of matter. Later on aliens tampered with him, probably vastly expanding his power until he could be felled by his brother and Marrow. As for him teleporting...um...he manipulated...um...light into a miniature black hole...that um...uh....
And Rex is a mutant. Proof? Well, while Apocalypse tolerates a few humans (Pierce and his "Enhanced Humans", and the Eurasian high council), he would never have one serve at his side as an overseer to his multitudinous operations. Plus, Rex came from Genosha, someone Sugarman knew, and Sugarman (apparently) was the one who had the idea of using mutants for Genosha's benefit. Though his power is never confirmed, he is a mutant.
And for another wacky mutant power, or unique one, the short-lived Stringfellow in X-Treme. He could turn a person into a post intimate relations Reed Richards.

Sway's ability to relive events that occured in the area she's in is pretty cool. Fairly creepy and traumatizing too given her origin.

Technically Cyclops's power is unique, since his eyes are portals. So he's not so much an energy wielder, but a sentient gateway.
There is a new x-man Loa? the samoa... who breaks matter? Haven't seen it done, but sounds interesting.

Having seen Jamie Braddock in the most recent Uncanny Issue I was really impressed by the way tha Bachalo drew in his 'Reality Strings'. Only Alan Davis has really drawn them before, and I much prefer the way that Bachalo kind of placed them as ribbons or streamers hanging from pretty much any and every corner of each panel. Nice touch.

The girl from the Dazzler series who could change the colour of flowers (TAKE THAT EVILDOERS!)
The guy from Uncanny X-Men who had accelerated ageing and and immunity to all medicines and painkillers (You know he ran over a basket of puppies and orphans in a previous life)

I remember thinking about this a long time ago in earth science. Phoenix could rearrange her clothing molecules, so technically she too could control weather, it's all about pressure and things i don't remember now. SO Storm might just be a teke.

well she's really only an energy manhipulator, being able to manipulate ambiedent energy patterns, which on earth present themselves as the weather. also, lifeguard is unlike any other.

dazzler's powers, (i might be biased) are pretty unique...absorbing sound and releasing it as light. a lot of people don't realize it, but most of her battles take place in TOTAL silence...(no sound escapes her body's absorption.)
i would also have to say Husk (just the way the metamorphosis takes place...). the guy who could heal any wound by intimate contact...a kiss for a cut, sexual intercourse for a terminal disease....what a whore.

yeah, you're right....but it has happened. so it's not just a theoretical misunderstanding on my part. there's of course more times than not dialogue along side her battle scenes, but i just take that to mean it's happening the seconds before or after she utilizes my powers.

The Desert Ghost (Xi'an) of the X-Men 2099 series. With his right hand, he can heal with a touch and with his left, he can destroy. Or was it the other way around. I mean if you think about it, he has the power of life and death at his disposal in a way right?
Is there anyone with a power like Hecate in our current time? I mean if your in their area, your fears will come true or something like that? Just curious.

If I'm right, Luna was the feral of the group. But the glowing skeleton guy was sorta like Bishop. His codename was Skullfire and his real name was Timothy Fitzgerald. He could absorb energy attacks and redirect them. When he absorbed them, thats when his skeleton began to glow.

i'd nominate the following...
Jacob Gavin jr. (ability to 'speak' to all of the cells in his body)
Who's this? What issues? It actually sounds like a neat power.
It reminds me of the novel Blood Music by Greg Bear, where a scientist granted sentience to all the cells in his body, except his brain (which remained the seat of his own sentience). Definite must read.
If I could talk to my cells, first, I'd fix my eyesight. No more glasses.
Become immune to disease and aging.
Oh, yeah. And make myself taller and better looking.
So where'd this guy make his appearance?
Peace,
Syzygy
