Man, this is going to be cool. I can only hope they work in the Vampire Nazi Octopuses from the original Unknown Soldier series in this. Fun fact: Post-Crisis, Hitler was killed by the Unknown Soldier to prevent the release of Vampire Nazi Octopuses.

Vampire. Nazi. Octopuses.

My only problem with this is that I thought these times past issues were supposed to be slotted into the main Frankenstein book.

Nothing about the content could hated, because...c'mon, it's Frankie in WWII. And Kindt is a real talent -- happy to see him getting more and more work. Hope it continues.

This looks like a one time thing since, you know, Men of War is ending with this issue. Plus, we've seen a Times Past issue solicited already- issue 7, I think it was?

It's definitely a one time thing, I recognize that, I just sort of like the idea of all of Frankie's relevant story being told in his book.

If it gives the character a little more exposure, though, I'm all for it! Plus that means two issues of frankie that month, which is only a good thing!

Hopefully GI Combat is going to take this direction better: revolving creators, and crazy ass stories.

I recently dropped Frankenstein agent of S.H.A.D.E from my pull list after the first story arc finished. I found the book really disappointing, I really wanted to enjoy it, but I just couldn't get into it.

But this looks really good, the story looks interesting and I love the concept. I'm probably going to pick this up, and hopefully It'll get me interested in Frankenstein again, and I'll give the ongoing another shot.

Is Tom Derinick the normal artist for Men of War, or is he just coming on board for this issue? I have no idea as I haven't been reading the book.

So happy about this. I'm loving Frankenstein so far, so the more the better in my opinion. It'll be good seeing a different art style to Ponticelli as well. I like his art, but it does seem a bit messy at times.

He's been the ongoing artist since the start yes

It's not a crossover. It's just a single issue. In fact, it's the last issue of Men of War.

...

Well, yeah. The story in the OP is about the last issue of Men of War, which has Frankenstein in it.

You know, I hope the title of the story is Patchwork Men of War. Missed opportunity if it ain't, I tells ya.

This looks better to me than either the current Frankenstein book or the soon-to-be-deceased Men of War book.

I'm two things you don't like can be combined into something you do like. I guess two wrongs do make a right.
