http://www.graphicnovelcollection.com/index.html Yah so I just read an article about this on Bleedingcool and this looks pretty awesome BUT it's only available in the UK and Republic of Ireland :frown:. Would anyone else like to see this come to America?

This seems like a pretty cool idea. I wish trades would become more mainstream, because they're a great introduction to comics, and, to me, the key to reinvigorating comic book culture. But I don't like the idea of releasing them like this... They should just sell the regular trades.
If you get the Thor: Reborn trade, and you want to read the rest of JMS's Thor, you end up with the sectioned picture on one spine, and the second and third's normal spine on your bookshelf. It'd look ugly, and one of the major appeals of trades are the ability to display them outside of a long box and on a nice shelf.
I can understand this service in certain locations, but in the US, I can easily just get the normal trades.

I've just had people at work - people who normally show little interest in comics - ask me about this collection. They've said it looks interesting and they might get some of these.
I can see this being a hit.

I've been buying comics for yearts and years now, and I just bought the first issue of this, its great, also it's got people i know hate comics interested in them. Only qualm about the series is that they dont give the graphic novels in order, so the book that comes with issue one is actually book 21 and continues in book 22.

I think this would be something great for trying to get someone interested in comics.

I got the first issue yesterday, I can post (low quality) pictures if anyone wants to see. Its fairly well put together, I hope they continue the sketches and interviews. I probably wont get every issue, ill pick up the second with the reduced price and probably pick and choose from there.

There are 60 volumes in the set which works out about £600 sterling, now if I knew which volumes had a Spidey content then I would be happy. However this type of collection disappears from the shelves after about issue 5 or 6 and the only way to finish the set is by subscription. I have to agree it is a nice set but with the price I would rather buy back issues.

It's the same as every other UK magazine collection of its type - looks good but over priced once you think about the content.
Free gifts are cool, spine art might be nice but you'll get the whole lot for a damn sight cheaper on Amazon.

Yah if you could post some pictures that would be great, thanks.
