The wave 2 of Teen Titans were supposed to come out on Wednesaday but weren't on Diamonds shipping list.Does anyone know when the will be coming?
Why are their figures always late and they never update the DC website with new release dates?

I heard Feb 23rd, but it is DC Direct so you never know.

DC... the lazy bastards...
which ones are you getting Dave?
Need me for a shift yet?

They are coming late because of customs. At one point, I thought DCDirect shifted they schedule dates around to accomadate them, but they haven't. Expect most of DCDirects output for this year to arrive late.

Did anyone pick up the Ravager action figure that was released today?
I did, and she's now proudly displayed next to Daddy Dearest on the shelf by the door.

I didn't get Ravager, but I did get Superboy.
Funny thing...he has two left feet. Literally. Stands up okay, but with the help of the base, since the right foot (with the "slot B" to the base's "tab A") isn't on the figure.
It sort of fits, since the head doesn't really look up, giving the figure a Neanderthal-ish look at Connor's five-head. The extra left foot could simply be a glitch in the cloning process, too.
Bummer I had to take him out of his packaging to see the defect. Figure might be worth more MIB instead. Oh, well.

Sigh. I wish I had things like money and stuff so I could buy all these cool things. :(
Especially since Titans are my absolute favorite and you now how many Titans figures I have from this series? None. The last Titans figures I bought were the DC Direct line a few years ago, which by the way has an amazing Raven figure. It's just a gorgeous sculpt.
But I digress. I'll have to wait and see if I can get them cheap somewhere. The only comic shop around here for like 75 miles has them for $18 apiece. No way I can even think about getting them at that price.

I picked up a pretty cool new Gandalf the Grey from Toy Biz a couple months back, and his fingers were jointed en-masse so you could close his hand around his sword or staff, but the one I got had a set of LEFT-hand fingers on his RIGHT hand. Oops. Checking other figures on the shelves later, they were okay.

I didn't pick up ravager. I had my books sent to me this week. So I opted for Kid Flash and Superboy, which now goes well with WonderGirl, Robin, Deathstroke.

Strange, My fig isn't like this. I think the hardest figure that I still have problems standing up with the base is the HarleyQuinn Hush Wave II Figure. I do have a question though on your Superboy. I was kinda disappointed about his S Shield. In all the pics I have seen the S Shield is a bright red sort of like the T-shirt. My fig the S shield is kinda of a dark red I am wondering if yours is the same?

My Harley Quinn Hush figure stands up just fine. Can't keep the Poison Ivy vertical, though.
I had no issue with the "S" on Superboy's shirt. Not too bright, not so dark it blended in with the black shirt too much. Seemed just right to me.

I don't normally buy toys. I got the Deathstroke, and Ravager figures because I like both characters. I got them cheap too, 13 bucks.
Oh, and I got the Robin and Wonder Girl figures because they represent Young Justice members I liked.

Any idea who the character next to the Superman with the Black Mercy plant on his chest? It's so cool they're doing Wildcat and the Justice Lords.

They usually display unfinished figures as well as finished ones. My guess? Wildcat? Kind of looks like him, except the face area. Orion is unfinished as well as you can see. I wonder who that is next to the Black Canary though. Looks like an unfinished Bizarro.

Great link Steve!
Great looking stuff even for rough prototypes. The toyline is taking a couple of bold steps with the Justice Lords and Green Lantern Corps packs but I think it's great. A huge improvement over the years of endless Batman variants.
The mini line looks fun too. Does anyone know if they are ever supposed to make a Metamorpho figure?

I know that they are based on the cartoon, but do they have to look so silly?
The Supergirl and Black Canary figures look like they forgot to put in pupils.
I was planning on getting the Black Canary figure, but not if it looks that bad.
John Stewart Green Lantern looks great. So does Shayera and Dr. Fate.
Not sold on the rest.

Mattel has also released individual figures of Dr Fate and Green Arrow (the single comes with his bow). An issue of Toyfare awhile back said that Mattel did not have the licensing rights for the "Charlton" heroes, so no Question,BB, or Captain Atom.

It seems crazy to me at this point that DC doesn't have enough control over the Charlton properties to get action figures made of them. Maybe they could supplement the Question with a Rorshach animated figure. :D
I really, really hope that the Tim Sale line continues. I will happily buy each and every one of them. I hope eventually we get a few Tim Sale Superman figures. I've been really hankering for a GOOD Superman figure (all the previous ones DCD has released have been subpar at best.)

I've heard that mentioned before, but I can't figure it out. After all, DC *has* released action figures of Blue Beetle (http://www.dccomics.com/dcdirect/?dcd=3171&lst=all&cat=ACTION+FIGURES) and The Question (http://www.comicbookbin.com/dcdirect33.html) through DC Direct, and has a Captain Atom (http://www.dccomics.com/dcdirect/?dcd=3097&lst=new&cat=ACTION+FIGURES) figure coming out next month.
So how is it that DC Direct can make action figures of Charlton characters, but not Mattel? Why would DC license only some of the characters in the show?

Wow...Vixen? Seriously, Vixen? The JLU line rocks! Black Canary, Supergirl (articulated, no less!), Steel, Dr. Light, a new Luthor, Mirror Master, Bizarro, Orion, Kilowog, that weird seahorse GL whose name I never knew...I can't wait!

They are going to use the same body mold for Orion that they did for Atom Smasher. Personally, having worked for Hasbro, I find that Mattel displaying this prototype in such a condition makes it look pretty unprofessional. I think it could have been shown as a pure grey prototype, or something closer to how Bizarro was displayed... maybe even with a cardboard cutout of the character next to it. It's San Diego, where people take pictures of everything as much as they do at Toy Fair.

I'm excited about most of the new characters. I am assuming Aztek's second figure might mean he is doing something in a future episode? I think he's had one line so far talking with Superman while helping Steel? I missed three episodes. I'd love to see the cartoon use his medical abilities (in tangent with Dr. Mid-Nite maybe), but maybe it's too late to tie him into Luthor now.
The Justice Lords, Black Canary, Steel, and the female Dr. Light are must-haves for me.
Does anyone think that with the Black Mercy Superman that there will be a Mongul in the line soon?
Still anxious to see if I ever get Gypsy, Stargirl, Ice, Sand, and Mr. Terrific figures. Would LOVE to see a Captain Marvel figure in this line as well.

Black Canary... Whatever!
Vixen... Fills the female, minority quota. Whatever.
Doctor Light... Maybe she can rape my Ralph Dibney figure, for the sake of disturbing symmetry.
Supergirl... Another?
Who do you have to kick in the balls to get a Stargirl figure?

I always liked that character, too bad they never did anything much with him after his short-lived series.

Okay, wherever I go, I always see Marvel characters EVERYWHERE. Fantastic Four, Spider-Man, and then the "Marvel Heroes" merchandise that they push around. And then, if I'm looking for comic book compilations in the book store, all they ever have is Marvel stuff. The only thing DC that I MIGHT see is Batman or Teen Titans. Marvel has tons of action figures, games, and books for sale EVERYWHERE, so much that I'm really starting to get sick of Marvel. What gives?!? Surely DC has merchandise!! I mean, DC superheroes are WAAAAYY cooler than Marvel heroes, but why are they never available in any kind of merchandise?? Why doesn't DC ever market their heroes?? Marvel sure seems to be doing so. Why not DC??

If there's a slight imbalance in Marvel's favor, it's most likely movie related. They've had a bunch of highly marketable movies lately, while DC has just had BATMAN BEGINS.
In terms of action figures, I think it's generally pretty even. Whenever I go trawling for JLU action figures at Target, it looks like the superhero action figure distribution is half JLU, Teen Titans, and Batman and half Marvel Legends, FF, and Spider-Man.
Speaking of which . . . New wave of JLU figures! Steel! Aztek! Copperhead! Mirror Master! Kilowog! The Justice Lords! Slightly deformed-looking Supergirl!

The DC Direct line was specifically designed for comic shops; where the lesser known characters have a better chance of selling. Marvel has always licensed more merchandise; not always to their advantage. Even though the most of the Legends figures are plentiful and the only ones my local store have are the real peg-warmers, fans have to search everywhere or pay inflated prices on Ebay because their favorite figure was short-packed. I prefer DC's marketing; they generally provide their fans with a wider selection of characters than Marvel does.

I just found a God-provided comics store in my mall, just when I thought that all was lost and the only and closest comics store was 30 minutes away!! It is AWESOME...anyway, they had some swell Green Lantern action figures, along with some other DC stuff. Anyway, I wanted to mention that, because Gorosaurus said that DC sends most of their stuff only to comics stores, and I had just seen that first-hand.
BUT THOSE FIGURES WERE AWESOME!!! Must have must have must have must have must have must have...

Eh. They're giving us all the obscure characters we want. On top of all the aforementioned figures, if rumor is to be believed, Vigilante and Shining Knight are on the way next year.
If they skip over a more traditionally prominent character to do that sort of thing, fine by me.
