Does DC have any service like Marvel's where you pay a monthly fee and get access to a library of comics?

I do not believe DC has implemented anything like this. They are still pay-per-issue.

No, they don't. DC sells access to individual issues through Comixology.

I really wish they did, even if it was just for comics that were older than a certain date (say 5/10 years ago).

I was reading up on Marvel's product. I might be interested one day, but it's hard enough to accept the notion of buying the digital "issue", when I don't actually get a physical object, but the subscription model takes it one step further. I no longer get to make an observation about how many comics I *own*, merely how many comics I have *read*.
Which is probably how it ought to be, but it would be a hard transition.
This is not intended as a dig against either format, just that it would take some getting used to on my part.

I just don't like the idea of paying monthly to read my comics. At least with Comixology, I buy them and I can read them as many times as I want, whenever I want. However, you'd get to read more for your money with the subscription.
