It’s time to Mash This Monster (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AxcM3nCsglA)

http://i54.tinypic.com/azcwx.jpg

Loki begins the match by using his godly mental abilities and immediately locating Psycho Man (who has been in human size robot body form the entire league,) even if he is hidden by Godzilla. Loki will then cast a shrinking spell as he did here (http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Loki%20Sorcery/LokiSizeshifting03308.jpg) to reduce Psycho Man in size while not changing the size of the control box. Since Loki can cast spells at the speed of thought Psycho Man will be unable to press any buttons on his control box as he will be too small before he even has time to react. Simultaneously Loki will phase so he can avoid any physical attacks from Godzilla. Loki has been shown in the past that he can phase and cast spells simultaneously.

Shadow King will possess the nearest human and stop them in their fleeing of terror from the sight of Godzilla. He telepathically reads Psycho Man’s location from Loki and then has this human squish Psycho Man like a bug. Should Godzilla manage to destroy a particular human Shadow King possesses he will simply repeat the process until Psycho Man is simply a smear on the bottom of a shoe.

Loki while still phased will then fly behind the head of Godzilla. From there he will conjure his mystical fire sword and use the mighty blade to cut off Godzilla’s head which he will later bring back to Asgard as a trophy for himself. Should Loki need to cast a spell to adjust Godzilla’s size to allow him to complete this manoeuvre he will.

The “Macro/Micro Murder Machine” presents…

The Ultimate Battle Plan at Times Square!

Phase One: Go Into the Water
A straight up tag-team matchup against two slippery villains? Don’t worry True Believers, the M.M.M.M. (4M, if you will) have got this covered, by pitting them against each other.

Part A: Pushing Your Buttons-
Psycho-Man: Psycho-Man’s control box has three buttons that are able to cause varying degrees of HATE, FEAR, and DOUBT in multiple victims at once. While hiding in his human-sized power armor behind Godzilla’s massive left leg, he’s going to immediately press the HATE button, amped up to 11. This will cause the inherent intolerance and rage of everyone in Times Square to boil over (and in New York, they’re already going to be crotchety enough), and make them blindly attack each other in a fury. The effects will be as follows.

Citizens: Whipped into a frenzy, they’re going to savagely beat each other, as well as our opponents.
Shadow King: Psychics are not immune to the effects of Psycho-Man’s Control Box, but we’ll concede that the Shadow King would still likely be able to assert his will, provided he concentrates to steel himself against the blind rage Pyscho-Man seeks to put him in. The HATE button will cause him to have to pause for a moment while…
Loki: The Trickster God often will make mischief, just for mischief’s sake, and it’s not outside his nature betray those closest to him, even his own family. And with Amahl Farouk as his teammate, Loki’s going to get disgusted with his partner by the HATE button, and turn traitor, immediately casting a spell to force the Shadow King back into his tangible, human, and very mortal body (a magical trick well within his limits). That’s going to set up…

Part B: I Think I Stepped In Something:
Godzilla- With the Shadow King transformed into an ordinary, powerless human by Loki, thanks to the influence of the Control Box (and Loki’s own tendency to betray even his own allies for giggles), Godzilla’s not going to wait for the mob of humans to beat Amahl Farouk to death, lifting his massive right foot up off the ground, and stomping it down atop the Shadow King, squashing him flat and killing him, and the humans around him, dead.

End Phase One:

Loki: Affected by the Psycho Ray, attacking his own teammate.
Shadow King: Turned mortal and human by Loki, then crushed beneath Godzilla’s foot.

Phase Two: Chow Time

Parts C and D are simultaneous.

Part C:Violent Mood Swings -
Psycho-Man: Loki’s going to be seriously cheesed off, and while he’s probably cackling with glee at having a hand in getting the Shadow King squished like gum on the bottom of a shoe, there still aren’t enough targets between Loki and him to make him comfortable with an enraged deity bearing down on him. As such, he’s going to hit the FEAR button, paralyzing Loki, and his lack of mental defenses, he’s going to begin hallucinating his deepest fears. Things like being confronted by Odin for his mischief, trapped on Asgard with no escape, or say, raped by the gray stallion Svadilfadri, and being impregnated with Sleipnir (way back in Thor (vol. 1) #274, True Believers! A Comics Code approved tale!). As Loki is paralyzed with fear by such torments through his life…

Godzilla: Godzilla’s like Mikey from Life Cereal. He’ll eat anything. And Loki falls under the “anything” category. Godzilla’s going to bend down, and vigorously chomp down on Loki, with his 100 Class strength jaws filled with barbed teeth tearing him apart before being swallowed to head down his gullet, and be bathed in radioactive digestive acids.

And then, Godzilla continues to go on a rampage while Psycho-Man goes to see “Book of Mormon” on Broadway.

RESULT: TOTAL VICTORY, FOLLOWED BY PSYCHO-MAN ENJOYING MUSICAL THEATRE.

Looks like this one's coming down to a speed debate. What's faster, Loki mentally locating and then casting a spell against Psycho-Man, or Psycho-Man just pressing a button?

I'm going for the latter (mind you, I'm a bit biased). And keep in mind, our strategy uses the canon reference that Loki is afraid of being raped by horses.

Godzilla's got some high class durability, and his neck is huge... Loki would have to chop away for awhile to decapitate him at that sword's size, I'm thinking.

Great strats to both teams! I can't wait to go up against one of you again next week.

I have two questions, one for each team.

Justin/Royal Flush - I can't really tell from the scan; is Loki's shrinking spell immediate, like the other person instantly goes from one size to another or gradual? If it's gradual, I think Psycho-Man would have time to hit his button. After all, it doesn't take even a second to hit a button that you're already planning to push.

WBE/Joe - How do we know Loki will do those exact things under the influence of the HATE button?

For whatever reason, the Psycho Man seems to be able to direct someone's hate at a specific target, and not just a generic wave of it. It's pretty impressive, for the push of one button.

Kirby/Lee Silver Age science. That's as much as an explanation as I can give.

Loki is known to cast spells at the speed of thought (as described in the middle panel,) so since P-Man has no enhanced speed Loki can locate and cast the spell before he can press the button. As for the shrinking spell it looks pretty instant to me considering Loki is holding a shrunken frost giant in the very next panel.

I kind of question the same thing, do you have any scans showing he can know exactly what a god would do.

the way it sounds .... Loki seems way overpowered. (I'm not saying your strat isn't plausible, just the character himself)

How does P-man know to hide behind the left leg because Gojira is going to move forward with the right?

MMMM strat seems predicated on a lot of very specific outcomes that converge to turn Shadow King human. Even if they are enraged by hate Loki and SK are self interested and master manipulative enough to act in some way unexpected or peripherally beneficial to them. Both also have enough ability to avoid purely physical attacks that I do not really see how Godzilla and co can take this one.

Hmm... it looks like the holiday seems to have taken some of the pulse out of the ballot box.

Well, barring a stunning comeback, it looks like Justin K. & Royal Flush have unthroned Joe Acro and myself as defending champions. Congratulations, fellas! You drafted two total pain in the ***es to take down, and put together a pretty solid battle plan.

I cannot repeat this enough, y'all are class acts! Good luck in the final!

Thanks WBE :)

I have to admit though writing a strategy to defeat Godzilla is no easy feat.
