I'm torn...on the one hand I am a completionist of sorts and I did sort of like the Another Sinister Six story, and the Flash/Mysterio two parter was fun in an almost golden age implausible story way.
On the other hand Hunger is an awful character (was this his first or second appearance?) and I'm not really much of a Morbius fan to be honest so that two parter does nothing more me. The Blob story was forgettable, and I wish I could say the same for Mackie's Venom return which was fairly predictable apart from being a mess of plotholes.
And then one issue of Amazing which was a crappy Avengers event tie in that made little sense since I wasn't following that story. Bah...
The MJ stalker plot dragged on a bit too long (did like that she got beat down the guy though), as did the MJ doesn't know Peter is sneaking out as Spidey plot. Also too many nods to Chapter One like the AWFUL Electro costume.
Is the annual the Man-Thing one....for some reason I do not recall that story at all. Was it good?

I really can't believe anyone would buy this...
Other than the Romita Jr art, it's practically unreadable.

Can I ask, what is it about this run that everyone hates? I got Hulk vs the Marvel Universe about a month ago, and the last issue in that volume is Peter Parker, Spider-man 14. That issue, imho, was brilliantly written.
Now from what I've heard about the run, that issue may have been one of the few actually well written issues. Is that more or less the situation?

Don't know about the story but that art looks great.

The problem is that these stories came in the wake of Spider-Man - Chapter One, one of the single worst reboots ever. The Peter Parker issues are at least readable when compared to the Amazing issues which had truly wretched John Byrne art.

Absolutely atrocious....if not the worst run of Spidey stories ever, then damn close. Other than some great JRJR art, completely worthless.:frown:
If anyone is seriously considering picking this up, quick - buy the original issues off me, for cover.
Then I want a hand written apology from Mackie and Byrne for creating them.
