Some have said that three is the magic number. If that’s the case, November should be a fascinating month. Here at THE SOURCE, we’ll spotlighting key third issues from DC COMICS-THE NEW 52 with an ongoing series of posts titled “3 Things You Didn’t Know About DC COMICS-THE NEW 52.” Expect the unexpected–in threes.

I like that this book is just becoming a mash-up of the descendants of Kirby concepts. Why not, right? I dig it. Let's get Infinity Man in here!

One of my favorite books on the market. I love Brother Eye. It's high concept and BE's attitude reminds me of my own take-no-guff stance.

I hate you [] for pointing this similarity out to me when I wasn't able to even guess at it for decades. How could this escape my notice?

I am insanely jealous and hugely disappointed in myself.

And yes, this is shooting the messenger. I am too depressed to even click on the link as yet.

Great book. I started reading it with a hope that the New Gods wod be involved somehow. We know Darkseid is in the NU, so so must they.

i don't care about the connections to new gods. I just like this comic on the pure and simple basis of smash.

The Brother Eye/Mother Box thing has me chuckling. Of course! As does the testy relationship between Eye and Max Lord where Brother Eye references Max attempts to control it.

Let's see ... there was the O.M.A.C. Project, so that means Infinite Crisis is "sort of" still in-continuity (at least, Max's history with Eye, etc ...) and there was Grant's throwaway "Lord Eye" during Final Crisis ... which a few of us speculated, hey ... was the salvaged remains of both the destroyed Brother Eye ... and the salvaged psychic brain of Max Lord.

Mokkari (one of my favorites) already graced us with his pleasureable presence.

Mother Box never sounded dirty to me until I read this. Now the thought it puts in my head is so nasty I think I'd get banned for saying it.

(and I've always known what box was slang for, just never put that concept together with this one)

Well, yes he did, so my hope was fulfilled slightly. I am holding out for some Orion, Barda and Scott Free, though.

I'm not reading this series, but why does this cover just scream for a Savage Dragon appearance?

That's not Savage Dragon? I thought it was just a cloring mistake!
