"My best friend Harry, has a Brother Larry, in two weeks from now, he's gonna Marry.

He's hoping you can be there , if you can, cause in the Ceremony, you'll be the Best Man.

You say "neat-o", check your libido, and go to the Church in your new tuxedo.

The Bride walks in, to start the wedding, and there's one more chick you won't be gettin.

so you start thinkin, then you start blinkin, a Bridesmaid looks, and thinks that you're winking

She thinks you're really cute, so she winks back, and then you're feeling really firm , cause the girl is stacked"

Riding down the strip on a trip in my 'Ham sammich
Started this shit and I'm gonna finish it yes I am dammit
We gonna slam it down like the hit it is shit it is time for them niggas from Memphis, Tenn to get deep
within
How deep? shit the devil stay right down the street
and why you mad? the rebels tied a brother by his feet
for what, for what I don't know they tied him to a pickup truck
then posted him up and down like they just didn't really give a f**k
I get rid of bigots with bad racial equalities
bust back at KKK's who try to follow me
these hollowties saving my ass in crucial situations
any other tactics I need, I use imagination
I'm ten steps ahead of your ass type of nigga
shit that I already know you try to figure
give up, put your ship up, don't try to sail
don't you see we got this shit built up, can't pry a nail
in my foundation my sound making too many bump all out the trunk
get crunk and blow blunts and buck jump
ain't no luck chump we come intentional with this dope shit
using a pen or a pencil back when I wrote this
space age, feel it perculatin' but all this hurt and hatin'
still keep on bringing people back to old situations
I change the stations but they playing the same list
we started the shit and we gon' finish this shit-MJG

i like how he was making reference to the byrd case out of texas where these white guys tied the black man to a pick up truck and dragged him to his death.so i guess thats your deep lyrics for today.

Your a quitter, and your bitter cause I came along, now that your days with house of pain are gone, and if you talk about my litte girl in a song again i'm gonna kill you.

Yo... Never was a thug, just infatuated with guns, Never was a gangsta, till I graduated to one/And got the rep of a villain, for weapon concealin'. Took the image of a thug, kept shit appealin'/willin' to stick out my neck, for respect if it meant life or death, never live to regret what I said/when you're me, people just want to see, if its true, if its you, what you say in your rap's, what you do/ so they feel, as part of your obligation to fulfill, when they see you on the streets, face to face, are you for real/in confrontation ain't no conversation, if you feel you're in violation, any hesitation'll get you killed/if you feel it, kill it, if you conceal it, reveal it. Being reasonable will leave you full of bullets, pull it, squeeze it/ till its empty, tempt me, push me, pussies, I need a good reason to give this trigger a good squeeze...

Say the kind of rhymes that make MC's wish that I die.
---LL Cool J "Bad"

And from the greatest rap song ever:
"I got a letter from the government
The other day
I opened and read it
It said they were suckers
They wanted me for their army or whatever
Picture me given' a damn - I said never
Here is a land that never gave a damn
About a brother like me and myself
Because they never did
I wasn't wit' it, but just that very minute...
It occured to me
The suckers had authority
Cold sweatin' as I dwell in my cell
How long has it been?
They got me sittin' in the state pen
I gotta get out - but that thought was thought before
I contemplated a plan on the cell floor
I'm not a fugitive on the run
But a brother like me begun - to be another one
Public enemy servin' time - they drew the line y'all
To criticize me some crime - never the less
They could not understand that I'm a Black man
And I could never be a veteran
On the strength, the situation's unreal
I got a raw deal, so I'm goin' for the steel"

Grandmaster Flash's A Child is Born, From the Message

A child is born, wih no state of mind
Blind to the ways of mankind
God is smiling but he is frowning too
Cause only god knows what you go through
You grow in the ghetto, living second rate
And your eyes will sing a song of deep hate
The places you play and where you stay
Looks like one great big alley way
You'll admire all the numberbook takers;
thugs, pimps, pushers and the big money makers
Driving big cars, spending twenties and tens
And you wanna grow up to be just like them
Smugglers, scrambles, burglars, gamblers
Pickpocketers, peddlers and even pan-handlers
You say I'm cool, I'm no fool
But then you wind up dropping out of highschool
Now you're unemployed, all null 'n' void
Walking around like you're pretty boy Floyd
Turned stickup kid, look what you done did
Got send up for a eight year bid
Now your man hood is took and you're a Maytag
Spend the next two years as an undercover fag
Being used and abused, and served like hell
Till one day you was find hung dead in a cell
It was plain to see that your life was lost
You was cold and your body swung back and forth
But now your eyes sing the sad sad song
Of how you lived so fast and died so young..

I am in *awe.* Every time I hear this.

One From Dre.

Yeah, Mista Busta, where the fuck ya at?
Can't scrap a lick, so I know ya got your gat
Your dick on hard, from fuckin your road dogs
The hood you threw up with, niggaz you grew up with
Don't even respect your ass
That's why it's time for the doctor, to check your ass, nigga
Used to be my homey, used to be my ace
Now I wanna slap the taste out yo mouth
Nigga bow down to the row
Fuckin me, now I'm fuckin you, little hoe
Oh, don't think I forgot, let you slide
Let me ride, just another homicide
Yeah it's me so I'ma talk on
Stompin on the 'Eazy'est streets that you can walk on
So strap on your Compton hat, your locs
And watch your back cause you might get smoked, loc
And pass the bud, and stay low-key
B.G. cause you lost all your homey's love
Now call it what you want to
You fucked wit me, now it's a must that I fuck wit you

One from Snoop

One, two, three and to the fo'
Snoop Doggy Dogg and Dr. Dre is at the do'
Ready to make an entrance, so back on up
(Cause you know we 'bout had to rip shit up)
Gimme the microphone first, so I can bust like a bubble
Compton and Long Beach together, now you know you in trouble
Ain't nothin' but a G thang, baaaaabay!
Two loc'ed out G's so we're craaaaazay!
Death Row is the label that paaaaays me!
Unfadable, so please don't try to fade this (Hell yeah)
But, uh, back to the lecture at hand
Perfection is perfected, so I'm 'a let 'em understand
From a young G's perspective
And before me dig out a bitch I have ta' find a contraceptive
You never know she could be earnin' her man,
And learnin' her man, and at the same time burnin' her man
Now you know I ain't wit that shit, Lieutenant
Ain't no pussy good enough to get burnt while I'm up in it
(yeah) Now that's realer than real-deal Holyfield
And now all you hookas and ho's know how I feel
Well if it's good enough to get broke off a proper chunk
I'll take a small piece of some of that funky stuff

Now when I'm fuckin' those Jen I'm invincible
Don't love no hoe, that's my priciple
'cause uh, bitches come (and uh) bitches go
That's why I get my nut and I be out the fuckin' door
(You know) they might be the one to set me up
Wanna get their little brother to wet me up
That's why I tote Tecs and stuff to get'em off my case
Just in case the little fucker ends up misplaced
I don't give a bitch enough to catch the bus
and when I see the semen I'm leavin'
Bitches be schemin', I kid ya not
That's why I keep my windows locked and my Glock cocked
One hoe said, "Big, why you so hard on us?
Why you swear all bitches are so scandalous?"
Thug nigga 'til the end, tell a friend bitch
'cause when I like ya, then ya go and fuck my friend bitch
(And you know that ain't right)

From Notorious B.I.G.'s classic "Friend of mine".

Yo, I'm sure that everbody out listenin agree
That everything you see ain't really how it be
A lot of jokers out runnin in place, chasin the style
Be a lot goin on beneath the empty smile
Most cats in my area be lovin the hysteria
Synthesized surface conceals the interior
America, land of opportunity, mirages and camoflauges
More than usually -- speakin loudly, sayin nothin
You confusin me, you losin me
Your game is twisted, want me enlisted -- in your usary
Foolishly, most men join the ranks cluelessly
Buffoonishly accept the deception, believe the perception
Reflection rarely seen across the surface of the lookin glass
Walkin the street, wonderin who they be lookin past
Lookin gassed with them imported designer shades on
Stars shine bright, but the light -- rarely stays on
Same song, just remixed, different arrangement
Put you on a yacht but they won't call it a slaveship
Strangeness, you don't control this, you barely hold this
Screamin brand new, when they just sanitized the old shit
Suppose it's, just another clever Jedi mind trick
That they been runnin across stars through all the time with
I find it's distressin, there's never no in-between
We either niggaz or Kings
We either bitches or Queens
The deadly ritual seems immersed, in the perverse
Full of short attention spans, short tempers, and short skirts
Long barrel automatics released in short bursts
The length of black life is treated with short worth
Get yours first, them other niggaz secondary
That type of illin that be fillin up the cemetary
This life is temporary but the soul is eternal
Separate the real from the lie, let me learn you
Not strong, only aggressive, cause the power ain't directed
That's why, we are subjected to the will of the oppressive
Not free, we only licensed
Not live, we just excitin
Cause the captors.. own the masters.. to what we writin
Not compassionate, only polite, we well trained
Our sincerity's rehearsed in stage, it's just a game
Not good, but well behaved cause the ca-me-ra survey
most of the things that we think, do, or say
We chasin after death just to call ourselves brave
But everyday, next man meet with the grave
I give a damn if any fan recall my legacy
I'm tryin to live life in the sight of God's memory
Like that y'all

"The Tugboat Complex," one of the single greatest achievments in music:

Oh my God
They've got angels sweatin' like Hell, it's
workin' their little halos to the bone combing them deserts
my figure eight knotted
lifeline defined traffic
the way my schoolin' end-less-ly defined every day
one exquisite fitted crisis rivets an octagon of red
to the ceiling above my bed
it's not a conversation piece, like public spectacles
unleashed more of a clue
so when I wake up to the rains I'll be one step ahead of you
I slide like Kodakrome
wrote a poem for every planet
typed their mileage from the sun in an envelope
licked it, stamped it
got eight thank yous in the mail, but nine planets means there's one left
only the earth would thank me later with a breath taking sunset
(man, I'm just a bum)
zip that waterfall around your skeleton
tell it to boil
loyalties, the shovel in the soil
dig it, I split my lip kissing the winter
nursed the blister in the sun
strung a hammock between spring and where the willows turn to blood
might of worked
sip a little, litter it, love it
without big beetles trying to sell him sunflower seeds by the bucket
might of, tugboat for the boxcutter above those ashes
without hot air balloons floatin' their four passenger baskets
and I'm asking you
to let a captive lacerate a caption
splash out massive
apolster plastic glasses with famine patches
i-dentify all saints linked around the fountain's warmth
and for a second taste of pain when removing that crown of thorns
?????,???,???, born hostile, pacifist huddled in subtle masochist
stamp the blame on ??? ???
my fire escape overlooks ghost town market place
artists bought out passes
then fast themselves to the target's face
you're killin' me

if I had a hammer, I'd build a city on stilts
so my feet would stay dry when God's wine glass tilts

if I had a shovel, I'd dig a hole in the dirt
and I'll be hiding when his drunken stupor lands upon earth

and if your little wing is broken
I'll see the poacher in hell
I can't afford another ????? in a cell
my carousel mimics the interests of a thousand leaking spickets
and a colony of graziers raised to justify the grimace
(and yes I read the treaty)
I prescribe the remedy plus the premises
my pin cushion, my limbs pushin' the knitting needle
evils, idle, peddle past the greeting
where the sleepers feed the cycles
stop, watch the eagles board the little engine that could not
ghost in a shell
and it fell in my lap
passin', postin' the bail but the guard has misplaced the key ring (that's
wonderful)
I lead a flee to blaze exact songs directly into the village
power supply burning the bridge between the magnet and my eye
now how many cadavers satisfy a mad man?
and how many crooked samaritans turn plesantville to bad land?
I can count my own dusty nickels with you laughing
about you'll turn my poor ass ebony and navy with cane lashings
(well, you're right)
grip your pointed stick, incite your riot
I'll sell your worth in a bottle at profit, explain my bias
atomic box cult, downward spiral rapidly
cast to hell with hate mail, forged Christ's autograph
laughed itself, drastic catastrophe
biting my lip
skin and bones, stringent
bingin' on rancid baits
mummified well inside a muddy New York minute
was it
your remnants my smoke rings have cocooned prior to fading?
well, it wasn't conscious spite but it might have been that

I am not your friend anymore
my arrow head dissertation
when narrow bed sleepers occupy the basement
and I am not your friend anymore
come the dawning of cerilian in your pity blend that whispers in the wind

man, if it were only that simple
I'd add a guilt frame to ???
I'd board myself inside my room to trace the wilting contour
one petal falls to the rug, she loves me not
town crier lugging a boom box with spirit plugs
and a red radio flyer
tied to irony like twenty burning igloos with a sailors knot
fiddler crabs build sandcastles while high tide off azalea crops
in the icicle field I portray, cats get antsy
and ask 'why if every light is dark do I continue dancing?'

why if every light is dark do I continue dancing?

why if every light is dark do I continue dancing?

why if every light is dark do I continue dancing?
well if it ain't finally a question that's worth answering

I boogie for the raindrops
for the purity, the anger
for my childhood recollections
for the comic book in my heart
the mocked intentions
the clarity, passion, seclusion
those cool summer nights
for the market merchant 'cross the street selling me stog's at half price
for the mights, the maybes, the nauseating pitfall
my girl, my friends
for the fact my window opens towards a brick wall
for the three legged dog I saw dragged on a leash
for the homeless man who walks my block in rainstorms with plastic bags on
his feet
see I throw away the tenders over one shoulder
and walk across broken glass
through every wicked world to kiss tomorrow's morning
not for nothing
you'll drown in a pool of your crooked morals
whispering 'maybe Aesop Rock was on to something'

maybe, no promises

Now, when I turn my knock up, and bangin' yo' block up
Without pickin' my Glock up, I'm raisin' my stock up
I got haters on lock-up...boy, they slangin' rock up
And bangin' Makaveli 7, crankin' my 'Pac up
Now, ain't no stoppin' when the tops start droppin'
Hearin' Fat Pat rappin', your hat back capin'
In a black 'Lac mackin' wit' a bop in a fade
Boy, we fat stack packin', steady choppin' on blades...blades...blades..

Got yo' bitch wetter than the captain of the swim team
Steppin' out the Caddy, bitch, I'm fresher than Dentyne
Slicker than Crisco, sweeter than Nabisco
From Philly to 'Frisco with the Don p and Sisqo
You better get some Blades if you still ridin' this ho
Boys puttin' Swangers on Benzes, it gotta stop
If you finta ride foreign, then, nigga, you gotta chop
And Southern niggas still got the nerve to ride D's

try some stupid shit. And pushin' that panic switch will get you nowhere but hell." Trail to the back with the money in the sack,
locked 'em all in the vault, time to bail. Well, tickets I'm out the door, hopped in the smug, and I break fast. Get to my pad, sit

Now here's the perfect niche to let it bubble and foam
Wait these seconds then watch the microphone get blown
It's the mischevious, lyrical genius on the loose
and I pack the deuce deuce of some act right juice
I'm in my own, space and time
The elevation of my rhymes elevates your mind
It's a clear blue sky and a clear blue day
Foe a G from DPG to wear clear blue and gray
I come I came, I am I ain't
the nigga ya wants ta fuck with, get peeled like paint
Bottoms up, nigga give it all ya got
from the bottom to the top or get shanked get shot
Provocative footage, of this lyrical abuse transgression
from this infectious enemy, they on the loose
And unstoppable, Daz
My motherfuckin nigga from back in the past

Nah nah nah, fuck that!
Don't hold me back, the Funkadelic Devil just snapped
with a rap, that's shittin on the story of Jack Sprat
So put your money where your mouth is, watch Redman house shit
And if it's beef I'll punch you in your mouth kid ('Damn!')
I got a heart but my heart is made out of nails
Word to ?Jamel?, my heart pumps nails in my blood rails
I'm not a warrior or Bavarian type of nigga
I'm just quick to smoke your family then fuck your sister
That's what type of shit I'm on, word is bond
Been thinkin about playin that nice guy role ?
Cause every since I was an infrant I was different
Paid no attention to my moms when she ripped it
I was a hardheaded mother-eff, but had to step
cause she hit me with a left, then another left
That's why my brain is out of order
because it just a quarter to manslaughter your little daughter
And do a driveby, fuck that, I walk by and I spray shit
then carve my name in your pavement
I was Rated 'X' but I flexed
I beat up the devil with a shovel so he dropped me a level
Ain't that ill? That I could just stand and watch a bloodspill
from a known rapper, but now the rapper's no frill
Just because I made a record I'm a star, that's bullshit
What's the flavor ?Tim? (Fuck what you heard, this rated R)

The X is like a monument, I'm old New York
I hope you know where I'm comin from
You got to take some, and then you leave some
Good food, shoes and clothes
Stay away from the nasty hoes
Your old pops he don't like my style
He resort to callin names as long as names stay names and no games
I resist the urge to blast his old ass to flames
A long hot summer, with no contract
One-twenty blocks, breakin open that pack
Your role models, now down with the bottles
That's over near the store with the reinforced door
and the breakaway for a pitbull named Thor, hah
For real Slim, for real cause I can't stress no ass
Cause it's, one where you came from, just like the same one
That was there yesterday, today, tomorrow
Assembly car lines, line em up from behind
Sick that ass like a cactus, react to this dick, uh!
Helmet wrapped tight sees no daylight
I roll two-ply duke and that's a must
Picture me knockin off shorty here with the rawness
A year or two later got ta hear it
And ain't got long to live, and ain't got long to live

That's a great verse...MJG is so inconsistent though...one minute he's one of the best in the game, dropping original shit like this, and the next minute he's no different than any other rapper.

Have you read the article? they called memphis "country" and then said they weren't worth their time. they wouldn't give memphis ANY credit.

Where does tongue twisting come from? Memphis (started by Tommy Wright III & Manson Family). Where do references to the occult come from? Memphis (started by Triple Six). Where does the sorta rapping/singing mixture come from? Memphis (started by Young Lo & C-Rocka & Michael Street).

Bone's entire subject matter is the exact same thing that Memphis rappers rap about (beyond just the occult references).

If you can show me some stuff from before 91 with someone twisting or rapping about the occult or all the other stuff memphis rappers rap about...then you're right, but until then, Bone will forever be bitches. Not only for stealing Memphis's style but for dissing the entire city, the most important southern rap mecca, at that.

When did they come out? 91? If so, Twista's first album came then too.

Its hard to say where exactly where or when any style came out. I read an article where Mannie Fresh said crunk basically came out of a style that was in New Orleans, which sprung off from Miama bass.

This is extremely true. It is really impossible to pinpoint anything, truly. Memphian rappers may not have been the very first to reference the occult or tongue twist (although i have been proved wrong about the occult, i still believe they were the first to tongue twist), but they WERE among the innovators and they WERE before bone.

And if you listen to the memphis stuff from the really early nineties by the artists i mentioned, and it's hard not to see absolutely striking similarities with that music and bone's stuff. the similarities are so prevelent that it would be an incredible coincidence for bone to rapping about what they rapped about in the manner that they did. And I don't believe in coincidence, especially incredible coincidences.

I was wrong to state Memphis as the pure inventors of those styles, but I still maintain that Bone drew MAJOR influence from them, and then acted very classlessly and ignorantly by saying what they said.

Regarding Twista...doesn't he hold the title for world's faster rapper? And one of the Bone cats held it for a while before that?

I think that's it...C9 seems like he's faster than both. How do they measure this? Words per minute or something?

Regarding the term "crunk"...Memphian rappers were using the term in as early as 1994...maybe earlier. that's just the earliest i've heard it. I've seen in articles that the term "originated in Memphis and Miami," but as has been said, it is impossible to truly now.

you give memphis too much credit.....................and all of your logic is severely flawed i'm aware of most of the artists you mention and and bone don't sound shit like these memphis rappers.alot of bone influences comes from their own production wich EAZY-E came up with cause he thought it complimented their style, producers like cold 187um,dj uneek LT-hutton,tony-c,and rythem-d ALREADY had dark sounding production bone just fed off of it and these guys was around long before any of the aformentioned memphis rappers.i suppose the west cost stole memphis style too huh?

well, we just disagree right there...i think they sound VERY much alike. the young lo thing IS stretching it, i'll admit to that. but there are at least minute similarities.

Not that it matters what anyone else thinks, but obviously i'm not the only one to think that Bone was at least influenced by Memphis music. it has come up many times.

alot of bone influences comes from their own production wich EAZY-E came up with cause he thought it complimented their style, producers like cold 187um,dj uneek LT-hutton,tony-c,and rythem-d ALREADY had dark sounding production bone just fed off of it and these guys was around long before any of the aformentioned memphis rappers.i suppose the west cost stole memphis style too huh?

I didn't mention production at all, so this is entirely irrelevant. Memphis and West Coast production are unique from each other. I was purely talking about the subject matter and style of rapping.

also tripple 6 was trying to be a horrorcore rap group bone wasn't...............

But, Triple 6 wasn't really trying to be horrorcore. They used the occult stuff only slightly more than Bone, at least early on. They couldn't really be said to have been trying to be pure horrorcore 'cause several of their solo tapes have no occult shit on 'em at all. "Out Da Darkness of Da Kut" for example is purely about street life.

To me, Memphis was the most important city in the birth of Southern Rap. Further, I think that the most consistently quality rap comes out of Memphis. For Bone to say what they said, i'll say it again, was classless and ignorant. Even if they drew no inspiration from M-Town (which is highly unlikely), their comments were 100% out of line and a diss to all of southern rap. It was a bitch move pure and simple. I usually don't like ana in my music, but, in this case, Tommy Wright was totally justified in making "Thuggish Ruggish BUSTAZ" just as Playa Fly was validated in making "Triple Bitch Mafia."

But it's a standard...it's like the guitar solo for rock.
As far as i know, dissing each other has been around since mc's were screaming about how they were better then the guy in the club down the alley.

That I can see, it's like freestylin'. That's cool with me. But when rappers record all of these diss raps about someone who disrespected them or where there from or whatever, it just REEKS of publicity to me.

I like it when they do a song, making fun of someone, and pointing out that the last track they made fun of them in was leaked and they didn't want anyone to hear it.

People take things in different ways, obviously. To me, it was a diss to all of southern rap to say what they said about Memphis, considering how instrumental Memphis was in the birth of southern rap. if you or other ppl don't take it that way...cool, but Bone was IGNORANT and CLASSLESS to say what they said.

Normally, I don't like ana in my music, because it usually IS for publicity, but...come on, Tommy Wright III doesn't give a damn about publicity. He's never gonna be big and he knows it. He says in his song "One Man Gang pt. 2" that "I ain't never gonna be famous and I don't give a fuck."

The world would never, ever accept Tommy Wright III.

Playa Fly, too, was 100% validated in making the Triple Bitch Mafia song, after what they did, not only to him, but to memphis rap in general and countless other rappers.

Just to show how much better Tommy Wright III is than bone ( ;) ) here's "Suicide" by Tommy Wright III:

"What the fuck am i doing here
Tommy has shed tears for years
Had so many fears
A young n*gga talkin' the little good and all the bad, i wanna jump, baby, don't come near/
goin' of the edge of the ledge
'Cause I'm better of dead
This is what goes through me head
Wonderin' how my child will be fed
When I'm down at 201, and the color of the dot on my wrist band is red
Any n*gga feelin' like they gonna be on the triple beam all they life, I can feel ya/
These crackers DO wanna kill ya/
These bitches are always testin' my nuts/
Is you a punk or what?/
Bone, I got a suddern urge to fuck you up/
I ain't scared to bust/
It ain't NO ONE i trust/
Take my weapon off of safety, keep it cocked/
Haterz wanna run up on my spot/
That's when I release a hundred shots/
Leave the barrell smokin' hot/
Tommy walk up drenched in sweat
My shirt wrinkled, wet
A nightmare about the caps tommy had to peel, I was shocked/
When, before my eyes, my aunt dropped/
From the glock my uncle popped/
Twelve years, she been dead/
All that time ain't never replace the fact/
That she ain't never comin' back/
And no one could raise her kids/
Everything that this n*gga did/
Pull a trigga
For bigga figgas
It was so hard
Never did get along with me mom from the start
'cause she never supported that i'm forever street smart/
All these crack babies,
Even my best friends actin' shady
The whole world dialated
The cops tryna chase me
And the judge and prosecuter cannot wait until they face me
Tommy Wright
Just might
Take a step away from this life
Ain't nothin left that's right
Can't even turn to Christ
C'mon Lord, i need Ya if i'ma survive tonight
...Too late...

SUICIDE!
The only way to get rid of my problems
SUICIDE
My 30R6 might just solve 'em
SUICIDE!
I wonder...would the world, even miss me?
SUICIDE!
Instead of tryin' to diss me, n*gga, get wit' me!"

Verse 1 and Chorus of Suicide by Tommy Wright III.

* T-u-r-t-l-e power!
T-u-r-t-l-e power!
T-u-r-t-l-e power!
Teenage mutant ninja turtle!
In a half shell, they're the heroes four
In this day and age who could ask for more?
The crime wave is high with muggings mysterious
Our police and detective are farious,
,cause they can't find the source.
Of this lethally evil force
This is serious so give me a quarter
I was a witness, get me a reporter!
Call april o'nail in on this case, and
You'd better hurry up, there's no time to waste!
We need help, like quick, on the double
Have pity on the city, man it's in trouble!
We need heroes like the lone ranger
When tonto came pronto, when there was danger
They didn't say they'd be there in half an hour,
,cause they displayed…turtle power!
[refrain] (2 times)

Now our miss reporter was hot on the trail
Determined to put these crooks in jail
She spied the bad guys and saw what happened,
But before she knew it, she fell in a trap and caught!
Yeah, she was all alone
With no friends, and no phone
Now this was beyond her wrost dreams,
Cause she was concered by some wayward teens
Headed by shredder they were anything but good
Misguided, unloved, they called them the foot
They could terrorize and be angry youth, and
They mugged the people. who needed proof?
Then from out of the dark came an awesome sound!
Shouted "cowabunga!" as they hit the ground
From the field of weeds the heroes rescued the flower
Cause they possessed…turtle power!
Do you stand for what you believe in?
And find the strength to do what's right?

That's turtle power!
Heroes in half shell, they're on a mission
When there's a battle got the enemy wishin'
That they stayed at home, instead of fightin'
These ninja masters with moves like lightnin'
They were once normal, but now they're mutants
Spinter's the teacher so they are the students
Leonardo, michaelangelo, and donatello,
Make up this group with one other follow
Raphael, he's the leader of the group
Transformed from the norm by the nuclear goop
Pizza's the food that's sure to please,
These ninjas are into pepperonI and cheese
Back to the story, it's not hard to find
Ninjas not just of the body but of the mind
These are the words that their master instructed,
But a letter from shredder has splinter abducted
That was the last straw, spring into action
Step on the foot, now they're goona lose traction
Now this is for real, so you fight for justice,
Your shell is hard so you shout, "they can't dust us" four!
Like some old coffee table
Since you were young you've been willing and able
To defeat the snake, protect the weak,
Fight for rights and the freedom to speak
Now the villian is showin' so you take a stand
Back to the wall, put your sword in your hand
Remember the words of your teacher, your master:
"evil moves fast, but good moves faster!"
Then light, shining for your illumination
Good versus evil equal confrontation
So when you're in trouble don't give in and go sour,
Try to rely on your…turtle power!
[refrain] (3 times)

Anyone who ever claims to be a fan of rap must know Slick Rick and his "A Children's Story"

Here we go,
Once upon a time not long ago,
when people wore pajamas and lived life slow,
When laws were stern and justice stood,
and people were behavin' like they ought ta good,
There lived a lil' boy who was misled,
by anotha lil' boy and this is what he said:
"Me, Ya, Ty, we gonna make sum cash,
robbin' old folks and makin' tha dash",
They did the job, money came with ease,
but one couldn't stop, it's like he had a disease,
He robbed another and another and a sista and her brotha,
tried to rob a man who was a D.T. undercover,
The cop grabbed his arm, he started acting erratic,
he said "Keep still, boy, no need for static",
Punched him in his belly and he gave him a slap,
but little did he know the lil' boy was strapped,
The kid pulled out a gun, he said "Why did ya hit me ?",
the barrel was set straight for the cop's kidney,
The cop got scared, the kid, he starts to figure,
"I'll do years if I pull this trigga",
So he cold dashed and ran around the block,
cop radioes it to another lady cop,
He ran by a tree, there he saw this sista,
a shot for the head, he shot back but he missed her,
Looked around good and from expectations,
so he decided he'd head for the subway stations,
But she was coming and he made a left,
he was runnin' top speed till he was outta breath,
Knocked an old man down and swore he killed him,
then he made his move to an abandoned building,
Ran up the stairs up to the top floor,
opened up the door there, guess who he saw?,
Dave the dope fiend shootin' dope,
who don't know the meaning of water nor soap,
He said "I need bullets, hurry up, run!"
the dope fiend brought back a spanking shotgun,
He went outside but there was cops all over,
then he dipped into a car, a stolen Nova (?),
Raced up the block doing 83,
crashed into a tree near university,
Escaped alive though the car was battered,
rat-a-tat-tatted and all the cops scattered,
Ran out of bullets and still had static,
grabbed a pregnant lady and out the automatic,
Pointed at her head and he said the gun was full o' lead,
he told the cops "Back off or honey here's dead",
Deep in his heart he knew he was wrong,
so he let the lady go and he starts to run on,
Sirens sounded, he seemed astounded,
before long the lil' boy got surrounded,
He dropped the gun, so went the glory,
and this is the way I must end this story,
He was only seventeen, in a madman's dream,
the cops shot the kid, I still hear him scream,
This ain't funny so don't ya dare laugh,
just another case 'bout the wrong path,
Straight 'n narrow or yo' soul gets cast(?).

Good Night.

"Liquid Swords"

I'm on a Mission, that niggaz say is Impossible
But when I swing my swords they all choppable
I be the body dropper, the heartbeat stopper
Child educator, plus head amputator
Cause niggaz styles are old like Mark 5 sneakers
Lyrics are weak, like clock radio speakers
Don't even stop in my station and attack
while your plan failed, hit the rail, like Amtrak
What the fuck for? Down by law, I make law
I be justice, I sentence that ass two to four
round the clock, that state pen time check it
With the pens I be stickin but you can't stick to crime
Came through with the Wu, slid off on the DL
I'm low-key like seashells, I rock these bells
Now come aboard, it's Medina bound
Enter the chamber, and it's a whole different sound
It's a wide entrance, small exit like a funnel
So deep it's picked up on radios in tunnels
Niggaz are fascinated how the shit begin
Get vaccinated, my logo is branded in your skin
"Latyrx"

Yes, yes, yes, YES, well, yes, yes, yes,
You're dealing with lyricists that's fresh, fresh, fresh,
You wanna test, surely ya jest
Look, lets just get one thing correct before ya step
Focus on breath, breath, breath
One rep, breath, breath, breath,
Select yet another set of styles? Yup, yup, yep
Each one as hard as erections I got to flex, flex, flex
For project protection I'm collecting text, techs, tex,
While you're caught up, thinking rap is just sex, sex, sex
And more flesh, flesh, flesh
Robbing your soul of its precious sensuousness
Most of these rappers are talking shit out of the side of they neck
What the heck? It's more and more suckas gettin' signed for less, less, less, and less
And lesson 1: if aiming to impress, press, press,
You gotta do it yourself quiet as kept, kept, kept
If my work is respected I collect checks, checks, checks
They cain't all bounce and if they do I got an ounce at the rest
"Endangered Species (Tales From The Darkside)"
Peace - don't make me laugh!
All I hear is motherfuckers rappin sucotash
Livin large, tellin me to get out the gang
I'm a nigga, gotta live by the trigger
How the fuck do you figure?
that I can say peace and the gunshots will cease?!
Every cop killer goes ignored
They just send another nigga to the morgue
A point scored
They could give a fuck about us
They rather catch us with guns and white powder
If I was old, they'd probably be a friend of me
Since I'm young, they consider me the enemy
They kill ten of me to get the job correct
To serve, protect, and break a niggas neck
Cuz I'm the one with the trunk of funk
And 'Fuck tha Police' in the tape deck
You should listen to me cuz there's more to see
Call my neighborhood a ghetto cuz it houses minorities
The other color don't know you can run but not hide
These are tales from the darkside...
"Diamonds and Wood"

I'm pimpin' through the ave. tryin' to see some good
But everythang is still the same in my neighborhood
Niggas frown when you up and smile when you down
And when you change for the better shife fools stop comin' around
I see the jealousy and hate, the wicked ways
We all lost children, pray for papers, and smokin' our lives away
Got to the point where I could not decipher day from night
She say she love me but all we do now is fuck and fight
My conscience fuck with me so much I can't eat or sleep
The other side of sellin' dope and out there runnin' the streets
And even though I'm gay to street fame comin' from this rap game
Lustful thinkin and compulsive drankin' is a normal thang
Some get a waste and misplace tryin' to win the race
Some try to hold on to their place by smokin' with lace
But see drugs and plastic thugs ain't gonna change the hood
I'm smokin' skunk and poppin' the truck to make me feel good.
"Growing Old"

I bet you never heard of a playa with no game
Told the truth to get what I want but shot it with no shame
Take this music dead serious while others entertain
I see they makin they paper so I guess I can't complain... or can I?
I feel they disrespectin the whole thang
Them hooks like sellin dope to black folks
And I choke when the food they serve ain't tastin right
My stomach can't digest it even when I bless it
I'm confessin one mo' lesson from the South we in the house tonight
Now hootie who wants to oppose?
Suppose we rolls through Headland and Delowe
where me and my niggaz surpassed the flow
And got down for ours like hind catchers
My mind catches flashbacks to the black past
while my close niggaz laugh at
The Southern slang, figure ways and mojo chicken wangs
I grew up on booty shake we did not know no better thang
So go 'head and, diss it, while real hop-hippers listen
Started by Afrikan Bambaata, so you and your patna
Gather your thoughts
"Elevators (Me and You)"

Got stopped at the mall the other day
Heard a call from the other way
that I just came from, some nigga was sayin somethin
talkin bout "Hey man, you remember me from school?" smoke some
Naw not really but he kept smilin like a clown facial expression lookin silly
And he kept askin me, what kind of car you drive, I know you paid
I know y'all got beaucoup hoes from all them songs that y'all done made
And I replied that I had been goin through tha same thing that he had
True I got more fans than the average man but not enough loot to last me
to the end of the week, I live by the beat like you live check to check
If you don't move yo' feet then I don't eat, so we like neck to neck
Yes we done come a long way like them Slim ass cigarettes
from Virginia, this ain't gon stop so we just gon continue
"I Seen a Man Die"

He greets his father with his hands out
Rehabilitated slightly, glad to be the man's child
The world is different since he's seen it last
Out of jail in seven years and he's happy that he's free at last
All he had was his mother's worth
Now she's gone and he's gotta make a change and make it for the better
But he's black so he's got one strike against him
And he's young, plus he came up in the system
But he's smart and he's finally makin' eighteen
And this goes to get on top and try to stay clean
So he's calling up his homie who dun came up
Livin' like this now they dealin' with the same stuff
And had that attitude that who he was was worth it
and with that fucked up attitude he killed his first mate
Now it's different and he's dead as dirt
And realized that the name ain't coming up but it still hurt
And can't nobody change this
It's ninteen-ninety-foe and we up against the same shit
Imagine life at it's full peak
Then imagine lying dead in the arms of your enemy
Imagine peace on this earth when there's no grief
Imagine grief on this earth when there's no peace
Cuz everybody's got a different way of endin' it
And when your number comes for service then they send it in
Now your time has arrived for the final touch
I see the fear in your eyes and hear your final breath
How much longer will it be til it's all done?
Total darkness and ease be in all one
I watch him die and when he dies let us celebrate
You took his life, but his memory you'll never take
You'll be headed to another place
And the life you used to live will reflect in your mother's face
I hear you breathin' but your heart no longer sounds strong
But you kinda scared of dying so you hold on
And you keep on blacking out cuz the post is near
Stop trying to fight the Reaper just relax and let it go
Because there's no way you can fight it but you'll still try
And you can try it til you fight it but you'll still die
Now your spirit leaves your body and your mind clears
The rigor mortis starts to set, now you outta here
You start your journey into outer space
You see yourself in the light but you're still feeling outta place
So you standing in the tunnel of eternal light,
And you see the ones you never learned to love in life
Make the choice let it go but you can back it up
If you ain't at peace with God you need to patch it up
But if you ready close your eyes and we can set it free
There lies a man not scared to die, may he rest in peace
And there's twenty times more where that came from. Hey man, there's too much good rap to be tryin to distill it down to just a single favorite verse. :)

It's not necessarily my favorite ever but I'll contribute to this thread by posting one I love by GOD of Pitch Black from their DJ Premier produced debut single It's All Real.

GOD: 1970
I was sent through a heavenly
Spirit and I've been dead-e-ly
As far back as my memory
Can record the power of God was sent to me
They gon have to mention me among the best eventually
Pitch Black's the group of the century
I ain't tryin to see death, disease or the penitentiary
When the smoke screens fade, the charade's played
Nothing remains but the foundation we layed is real
Destroy and build, my feelings kill or be killed
Play around, we spraying rounds, I lay you down
No doubt you dont know what it's about
You think you spitting game but the game spit you out
So you ain't innovating you're regurgitating
Poisonous thoughts, doing dirty work for Satan
I leave you so scarred, your corpse rock hard
Your arms are too short to box with GOD
And it's all real

ya, laid in the shades of the everglades, finally forever paid,
wearing
the finest fabrics tailors ever made, me and my team, carrabeans

Andre 3000: Now Suzy Skrew had a partna named Sasha (Sasha), Thumper (Thumper)
I remember her number like the summer
when her and Suzy yeah they threw a slumber - - party
but you can not call it that cause it was slummer
Well it was more like spend the night
Three in the morning yawnin dancin under street lights
We chillin like a villain and a nigga feelin right
in the middle of the ghetto on the curb, but in spite
all of the bullshit we on our back starin at the stars above
(aww man) Talkin bout what we gonna be when we grow up
I said what you wanna be, she said, "Alive" (hmm)
It made me think for a minute, then looked in her eyes
I coulda died, time went on, I got grown
Rhyme got strong, mind got blown, I came back home
to find lil Sasha was gone
Her mamma said she with a nigga that be treatin her wrong
I kept on singin my song and hopin at a show
that I would one day see her standin in the front row
But two weeks later she got found in the back of a school
With a needle in her arm, baby two months due, Sasha Thumper

It's like that now, you better go on
and get, the hump, up out your back now
It's about four, or five, cats
off in my 'Llac now
We just, shoot, game in the
form of story rap now (yeah)
It's like that now, it's like that now

Viktor Vaughn (MF DOOM) - G.M.C.

Party people know the name, Vik with a "k"
if its all the same, if it ain't dont bother
told the little monster, "No I ain't yo' father
it's Uncle Viktor, shut the lights I'm gettin' dizzy
and close the door, can you see ya momma busy?"
What a scoundrel!
gassed up the town fool to go rob the crown jewel
he's like a lego megalomaniac
who's into electronic and techno, a real brainiac
smack-dab in the hip hop gold rush
V, rather the old stuff
preferably the Cold Crush
it gets deeper than Deepak Chopra
except he keep a stack and some cheap ass vodka
knee-cap poppa, only when he miss the chewy center
at least he always hits who he meant ta
remember he got a short fuse and bad temper
and a plan to claim emperor by December
member of the most player-hated race
who made this invaded place and stated with a straight face
if I cut her off I might miss her
and one of these days, right in the kisser
she probably get mad at me, I bet ya
it gets her nowhere like flattery
she said, "Where were you last Saturday?
and don't lie, we got your fingerprints off the battery"
don't make me have to bling you
or see you in the street and doubleteam you with the emu
he told her, "When the ?gem paper tear off?
it'll probably tear her ear off before y'all even square off"
no good good-for-nothin
kill her high for no frill like 'Good Will Huntin'
he feels out a place like bizarro
fiesty chick, comes all out her face like Charro
it's Vaughn, he's back on
and you know he don't care like Jimmy Crackcorn
wax off, wax on
tried to raise taxes on cracks and black porn
another year passes
gone are the days when he used to wear glasses
now he wear contacts, unfrozen caveman look over the contracts
these crews is too soft
he came to tear the roof off to get paid to goof off
they don't really wanna battle
all they gon' do is get mad and go tattle
tell 'em a retard said it
he ripped up the weak heart, sighed and jetted
you gotta give us three card credit
even though at times he can be hard-headed
yeah, the main thing, creams by all means and harebrained schemes
the lord's performance was flawless
he rocked with a crown and a Bobby Brown cordless
the broad he was with was gorgeous
the only flaw he saw was she cause a nigga more stress
not trying to diss her
but I used to know this sister that could put a whole fist in her
Hell, I made it momma
grammy for the world's most celebrated rhymer
dead the drama, ?scama?, 4 G's of pizzy from Bahama
V, the lead brown man
and never count your chickens before you read SoundScan
what about mom and pops?
they might as well cooperate and wait 'til the bomb drop
get more cabbage, often time he wonder how they get so savage
V, not your average, often time he wonder how they got so savage

who remember the last diss to ll cool j by KMD?

If mama said knock me out, come do it
You can’t win and that (record scratch) knew it
I’m a send you home in a body bag
Wit the mic in your throat and a jock for a gag
You’re out of here, over, finished, all in
And marly marl can’t save you from fallin
’cause as soon as you came back what did you do
To the break of dawn, another dumb move
You can’t go hard, you’re just so-so todd
I’m that type of guy, oh my god
It’s gets no rougher comes no weaker
Marly hooked the beats so now you need a
Writer to bring you back from hell
Because I’m a rock up L
Low life loser, life like luna
Lafidasical, lispless luna
Tic liver lifeless, living likeness
Lusting longing lyrics like this
Little league, lard larsonist liar
Label ledger, left the leper liar
Bull, lull, lateral learning
Laps language latent lurking
Language, language, local logo
Light laboring, limited local
Now ll’s a laughing stock
’cause I bit that ass to the last stop
I watched you fall like hitler fell
And now you’re down to a broken l
You’re records ain’t hot and you’re shows don’t sell
Yo, tell ’em how you fell l, hard as hell
You came back and you thought you had me
But think about it, whos’ your daddy

Kill ’em... big daddy, I don’t want none...
I did ’em wit a death blow-kool moe dee

i don't care what anybody say they were evenly matched, and this finished off ll cool j as far as i'm concerned

Two 3-6 disses:

"How the fuck you figga/
You be bigga/
'Cause you makin' cheese/
Half the shit you makin, bitch, belongs to Fly and Gangsta B"
--Playa Fly, "Triple Bitch Mafia"

"This one's for them jacks who be hatin'
Whoe wanna play on my station
I'm landin standin' ovations
Boy, Fly down with the nation
A Taylor baby waitin' to shock ya
Make you suckas get hotta
And Fly gonna do what I gotta
To melt you lemons like lava
if you could stand like a man
Then, Fly could give you a chance
But, see, you can't
So Flizy ain't
As me and Gangsta advance
We trackin' magical tracks
With Parkway love on our backs
We awaken shaken, might just make it, and we ain't turnin' back
Fly's Adversaries? I'll flatten 'em.
Fly's pockets? I'll fatten 'em.
Gold and silver might be nearer but we plannin' on platinum
You pinchin' up on the strip
Fly wipe the blood from my lips
And Fly don't dig what they done dug, but that don't mean I aint' hip
I make my enemies slip
I take advantage of errors
My territory's forever
With lemons cocked back in terror
Minnie Mae Mafia, with Taylor Babies too tough
Nobody needin' nobody and we ain't fuckin' with cuz
So, cuz, you keep to yourself
'Cause we ain't seekin' no help
And Playa family and this Gangsta all that Playa got left
And I can't be sellin' him out
For a bigger car, nor a house
You keep that shit in your pocket, 'cause Fly been doin without
you BITCHES" -- Playa Fly, Nobody Needs Nobody

And then the best rapper ever, in my opinion, just showing off his skills:

"That final one way bus ticket
One great day, Fly gon get it
This wicked world I'm livin in, so cruel and explicit
Fly request this, it's a must
Straight to the only one that I trust
I want to head to the promised land, that he made for us
And if he choose my return
There must be more I can learn
Or other brothers to teach, before their souls get burned
No, I'm not ready to leave, but I'll be ready whenever
Right before now and forever
Fly don't live for no devils
I picture heaven so pretty, but not a too-goody thing
I mean, I belong where I belong, before the throne of the king
And I'm choosin' to speak, before he take me away
This ain't the day of Fly's death, this is the day Fly awake
And what I took I could take
And always do what I can
And while I stood on this earth, this Playa stood for the man
And this land
Is possessed by a man, the crookedest thief
So, I pray to my father, god, to send for me

This world is out of control
So, Playa's ready to go
So super-ready to roll
To go sit high on the globe
Upon this world, Fly's deceased
Now, Fly stroll in heavenly streets
Takin' seats on the stars, with comets under my feet
With whispers in Flizy's ear
Whenever Devils come near
But, Fly's gone in the wind and my voice you will hear
Some might call me a prophet
Other brothers might knock it
But this hear word that you heard, there ain't no way to stop it
Fly is short like DeVito
Passin' Bienvenito
To all his lovers who struggle and to the holiest hero
I hope God send me to Pluto
So I can scorch up this universe
Far away from this planet, 'cause this here planet is cursed
And Fly gonna rest on this level
Surrounded by feathers
Where Angels play in the clouds, with animosity never
And never needin' a light, never too dark to see
And this world will rot, so god is sendin' for me"
--Playa Fly, "Send For Me"

i can't just pick one line frrom this awsome song so here the whole thing

[gunshots]

[Nas talking]
("Fuck Jay-Z")
What's up niggas, ay yo, I know you ain't talkin 'bout me dog
You, what?
("Fuck Jay-Z")
You been on my dick nigga, you love my style, nigga
("Fuck Jay-Z")

[Chorus:]
(I) Fuck with your soul like ether
(Will) Teach you the king you know you
(Not) "God's son" across the belly
(Lose) I prove you lost already

Brace yourself for the main event
Y'all impatiently waitin
It's like an AIDS test, what's the results?
Not positive, who's the best? Pac, Nas and Big
Ain't no best, East, West, North, South, flossed out, greedy
I embrace y'all with napalm
Blows up, no guts, left chest, face gone
How could Nas be garbage?
Semi-autos at your cartilege
Burner at the side of your dome, come outta my throne
I got this, locked since '9-1
I am the truest, name a rapper that I ain't influenced
Gave y'all chapters but now I keep my eyes on the Judas
With Hawaiin Sophie fame, kept my name in his music
Check it

[Chorus]

[talking]
Ay yo, pass me the weed, pour my ashes out on these niggas man (no doubt)
Ay, y'all faggots, y'all kneel and kiss the fuckin ring

[Chorus]

I've been fucked over, left for dead, dissed and fogotten
Luck ran out, they hoped that I'd be gone, stiff and rotten
Y'all just piss on me, shit on me, spit on my grave (uh)
Talk about me, laugh behind my back but in my face
Y'all some "well wishers," friendly actin, envy hidin snakes
With your hands out for my money, man, how much can I take?
When these streets keep callin, heard it when I was sleep
That this Gay-Z and Cockafella Records wanted beef
Started cockin up my weapon, slowly loadin up this ammo
To explode it on a camel, and his soldiers, I can handle
This for dolo and it's manuscript, just sound stupid
When KRS already made an album called Blueprint
First, Biggie's ya man, then you got the nerve to say that you better than Big
Dick suckin lips, whyn't you let the late, great veteran live

[talking]
(I...will...not...lose)
"God's son" across the belly, I prove you lost already
The king is back, where my crown at?
(Ill...will) Ill Will rest in peace, let's do it niggas

[Chorus]

Y'all niggas deal with emotions like bitches
What's sad is I love you 'cause you're my brother
You traded your soul for riches
My child, I've watched you grow up to be famous
And now I smile like a proud dad, watchin his only son that made it
You seem to be only concerned with dissin women
Were you abused as a child, scared to smile, they called you ugly?
Well life is hard, hug me, don't reject me
Or make records to disrespect me, blatent or indirectly
In '88 you was gettin chased through your buildin
Callin my crib and I ain't even give you my numbers
All I did was gave you a style for you to run with
Smilin in my face, glad to break bread with the god
Wearin Jaz chains, no tecs, no cash, no cars
No jail bars Jigga, no pies, no case
Just Hawaiian shirts, hangin with little Chase
You a fan, a phony, a fake, a pussy, a Stan
I still whip your ass, you thirty-six in a karate class
You Tae-bo hoe, tryna' work it out, you tryna' get brolic?
Ask me if I'm tryna' kick knowledge
Nah, I'm tryna' kick the shit you need to learn though
That ether, that shit that make your soul burn slow
Is he Dame Diddy, Dame Daddy or Dame Dummy?
Oh, I get it, you Biggie and he's Puffy
Rockafeller died of AIDS, that was the end of his chapter
And that's the guy y'all chose to name your company after?
Put it together, I rock hoes, y'all rock fellas
And now y'all try to take my spot, fellas?
Philly's hot rock fellas, put you in a dry spot, fellas
In a pine box with nine shots from my glock, fellas
Foxy got you hot 'cause you kept your face in her puss
What you think, you gettin girls now 'cause of your looks?
Ne-gro please
You no mustache havin, with whiskers like a rat
Compared to Beans you wack
And your man stabbed Un and made you take the blame
You ass, went from Jaz to hangin with Caine, to Herb, to Big
And, Eminem murdered you on your own shit
You a dick-ridin faggot, you love the attention
Queens niggas run you niggas, ask Russell Simmons
Ha, R-O-C get gunned up and clapped quick
J.J. Evans get gunned up and clapped quick
Your whole damn record label gunned up and clapped quick
Shaun Carter to Jay-Z, damn you on Jaz dick
So little shorty's gettin gunned up and clapped quick
How much of Biggie's rhymes is gon' come out your fat lips?
Wanted to be on every last one of my classics
You pop shit, apologize, nigga, just ask Kiss -Nas

his bad ass diss to jay-z

Ice Cube
It Was A Good Day

[Ice Cube]
Break 'em off somethin
[inhales] Shit..
[exhales] Yo..
Yo.. uhh..

[Verse One]
Just wakin up in the mornin gotta thank God
I don't know but today seems kinda odd
No barkin from the dog, no smog
And momma cooked a breakfast with no hog (damn)
I got my grub on, but didn't pig out
Finally got a call from a girl I wanna dig out
(Whassup?) Hooked it up for later as I hit the do'
Thinkin will I live, another twenty-fo'
I gotta go cause I got me a drop top
And if I hit the switch, I can make the ass drop
Had to stop, at a red light
Lookin in my mirror and not a jacker in sight
And everything is alright
I got a beep from Kim, and she can fuck all night
Called up the homies and I'm askin y'all
Which park, are y'all playin basketball?
Get me on the court and I'm trouble
Last week fucked around and got a triple double
Freakin niggaz everyway like M.J.
I can't believe, today was a good day (shit!)

[Verse Two]
Drove to the pad and hit the showers
Didn't even get no static from the cowards
Cause just yesterday them fools tried to blast me
Saw the police and they rolled right past me
No flexin, didn't even look in a nigga's direction
as I ran the intersection
Went to $hort Dog's house, they was watchin Yo! MTV Raps
What's the haps on the craps?
Shake 'em up, shake 'em up, shake 'em up, shake 'em
Roll 'em in a circle of niggaz and watch me break 'em
with the seven, seven-eleven, seven-eleven
Seven even back do' Lil' Joe
I picked up the cash flow
Then we played bones, and I'm yellin domino
Plus nobody I know got killed in South Central L.A.
Today was a good day (shit!)

[Verse Three]
Left my nigga's house paid (what)
Picked up a girl been tryin to fuck since the 12th grade
It's ironic, I had the brew she had the chronic
The Lakers beat the Supersonics
I felt on the big fat fanny
Pulled out the jammy, and killed the punanny
And my dick runs deep, so deep
So deep put her ass to sleep
Woke her up around one
She didn't hesitate, to call Ice Cube the top gun
Drove her to the pad and I'm coastin
Took another sip of the potion hit the three-wheel motion
I was glad everything had worked out
Dropped her ass off and then chirped out
Today was like one of those fly dreams
Didn't even see a berry flashin those high beams
No helicopter looking for a murder
Two in the mornin got the Fatburger
Even saw the lights of the Goodyear Blimp
And it read, "Ice Cube's a pimp" (yeah)
Drunk as hell but no throwin up
Half way home and my pager still blowin up
Today I didn't even have to use my A.K.
I got to say it was a good day (shit!)

One more from Cube
Ghetto Vet

Life....
niggas used to come and get me
when it was time to disagree with an enemy
pass the hennessy it gives me energy
packed the gat in the small of my back
where these niggas at I clear the whole pack
talkin' shit cuz I'm down for my set I'm a vet
smokin' on a wet cigarette
(who these niggas think they are)
(wishin' on a ghetto star i represent my tar)
I start bustin' and they scatter like water bugs
cuz these westside niggas is harder thugs
enslve us but nothin' can save us from sportin' Ben Davis
shootin' at your neighbors
(cuz sometimes I feel like a nut don't give a fuck when I open ya up)
hot rocks fly from the back seat and
busta ass niggas run like a track meet
an if you crawl in the middle bleed mo' than a little (what)
killer king is the hospital
feelin' numb from the bullets I hum
and when they hit black mothers have fits I don't give a shit

[Chorus]
[Mack 10]
Fool I'm a vet you can bet that
I could dance underwater and not get wet (check it)
[Mr. Short Khop]
Its rainin' bullets and I'm still there
(Foe life) I'm still there

my house shoes get wet from the dew on the grass
up early in the morning takin' out the trash
feelin' like a loser alcohol abuser
two youngsters roll up on a beach cruiser
one on the peddles the other on the handle bars (what)
tryin' be ghetto stars they said:
Are you from the westside is it so?
i said hell yea and who wanta to know (me)
in slow mo fo' fo' slugs face down in the mud
puddle full of blood left for dead
the pain starts to spread now I can't feel my legs
I meet doctor who at King Drew medical center
as I enter I.C.U.
he said the bullet hit a nerve that was vital
I said I can't move my legs he said don't try to
now this ain't the end my friend but you'll probably never walk again
I sit there motionless holdin' this pain inside contemplating suicide
at night I
