who wont appear in The Ultimates?

Who are some characters(either heroes or villians) who you don't think will ever show up in The Ultimates?

Obviously there gonna stay away from the bottom of the barrel characters such as Gilgamesh and Triathalon but who would be a really suprising character to leave out of future stories?

As for heroes?
Vision is the only other one I can see them including. Those are the classic Avengers pretty much. Some of the other ones may just complicate things.

If they make a Ultimate Captain Marvel...I can see him joining later on.

Ok, I want members joining the Ultimates, in around the same way they were recruited into the 616 version of the Avengers. We already have the founding 616 members in the Hulk, Thor, Giant-Man, Wasp, and Iron Man. The 616 1st recruit was Captain America and we have him. The 3rd recruit was Hawkeye, and we have him. The 4th and 5th were Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, and we have them. Black Widow was the 11th recruit, and we have her. Ultimates is missing the 2nd 616 recruit and one of my top 5 favorite Avengers WONDER MAN. After adding Simon to the team, next in order of recruitment were 6th Swordsman, 7th Hercules, 8th Black Panther, 9th Vision.

i think Vision could make a really cool character in the Ultimates, given the way the Ultimates read, and how creepy Vision can be.

Also, Id love to see Wonderman drawn by the Ultimates artist, even though he'd probbaby be a very silly addition to the team.

I really think aout 4/5 of all Avengers wouldn't work out if they were Ultimatized. It's a question of mood, but Im not a genius like the Ultimates writer.

Ultimate wonder man? I don't know what they can do to ever make that character make sense in the ultimate universe but then again we have the ultimate defenders (without the power houses).

I think the Panther is a fascinating character-- spectacularly misused and ignored. He's never been done justice since his first appearance in FF#54. Did you all read the preview issue of the Panther's new series? It looks like maybe finally SOMEBODY is "getting" this character. It's very promising.

That's a good point, a lot of non-US native characters won't join on principle. Maybe Ult Excalibur will have a broader pool.

With that in mind I think Vision, Wonder Man and Ultron aren't appearing in the Ultimates. The Vision really interests me if he does show up as I'd love to see how his design would turn out redesigned. Maybe it will be the transparent ghostly vision with the visible endoskeleton for extra creepyness factor.

Ultron is being used only in mere mention but I'd love to see him in here too as well as Wonder Man but I'm not sure how long Millar will stick around. It would be funny if Warren Ellis were his successor to the Ultimates after he succeeded Ellis in the Authority.

Well since Thor is slated to go beserk in issue five The Ultimates better recruit some stronger members AND SOON.they'd need someone of Wonder Man/Namor/Hercules/She-Hulk calibre to even slow him down.

Ultimate Black Panther? Panther IMO works best solo. He's so much better in his solo series that I just rather not see him in the Ultimates. Plus being a king and all of that...Namor is the same way. I would love to see them both in the Avengers (or Ultimates) but being a king is different than a prince (Thor).

I say maybe have the Panther give the Ultimates an "agent" like the White Tiger (Ultimate Kasper???) which is a young black character that readers can associate better with...and I would take Nita instead of Namor for the same reasons. King bling bling yeah yeah yeah...Nita is worried about her toe nail polish coming off....now that's fun!!!

Well, since the Vision came to warn us about Galactus, he's probably good. I do wonder if we will see any of the heralds of Galactus, then.
Here's an idea. Thor beats the Ultimates in #5, and Hank Pym forms up the Defenders, with a brand-spanking new Ultron for the heavy firepower, to take on Thor with the surviving Ultimates.
I can't see a lot more Avengers being introduced. Swordsman? Ha ha ha. Black Panther is, as someone said, just Captain America sans shield.
I think the best possibilities for Avengers being introduced into the Ultimates are: Vision, Ultron, and Ms. Marvel/Warbird.
I don't see the Invaders being retroactively introduced. For one, CA has already been characterized as solo super commando during the war. I suppose the possibile existence of other allied WWII superheroes can't be eliminated, but there's been no mention of them and CA seems to be the premier hero of that age.

Millar has already touched on the Ultimates status as celebrities a bit, and Wonder Man would be the perfect character to explore that further.

As others have mentioned, the invaders probably won't be introduced. In a way, I think marvel, if it could, would rather not have anyone other than Captain America in the WWII era.

So, we definitely won't see The first marvel Hero.

Ultimate Human Torch (from the Invaders). Neither will we see any others like Ms. America or the Whizzer.

Namor, OTOH, is a tossup. Not to whether he'll show up (that's a given. Like others said, there's too much story potential with dealing with a guy who has a legitimate claim to at least 25% of the Earth) but where.

Will he show up in ultimate defenders (looking at the ultimate defenders, there's something not right when not one of the original founders of that group aren't in the actual group) if there is a limited series?

will he show up in Ult FF? True, it is tired in the regular universe, but in ult FF, they might want to be shocking and actually have sue choose namor. One argument against the ult universe are the cliche relationships (parker and mj, sue and reed).

Will he show up in the Ultimates? That political angle is straight up miller's angle.
