I liked the artwork in the first one, but I think I agree that I like this artwork more. I was having a bit of trouble following what was going on in that preview, but it might be because of a lack of context...

Nevermind, re-read it, now I see how everything flows.

I had such high hopes for the first issue and it was a bit of a let-down. Hopefully this second one picks up to a higher standard. I didn't mind the previous issues art, but I like this one better. Kind of has a Dodson-cartoony feel.

What is up with the guys right leg on the cover? It's like double the size of his other leg. Combined with the fact that he looks like he is riding and invisible horse...and that unlike the Jason Todd cover they did not fix this one to re-adjust the shape or location of the plane to make it look less like he has a giant...*ahem*. I find the cover quite silly looking.

Fortunately the inside looks awesome, although I'm completely lost so I'm hoping this is a scene from the middle or near the end of the book rather than the beginning. Because while I think jumping right in worked for the first book...not sure I will be able to stick with it as theme if it continues.

I see what you mean about the lower anatomy on the character - however, I think the armour and helmet design look pretty cool.
