Back in 2010 or even a little before then I remember seeing news of Veronika Decides to Die with Sarah Michelle Gellar. The movie is based on the book by the same name but the setting is completely different. It's kinda like High Fidelity but even worse.

Sarah Michelle Gellar stars and while I'm not exactly a fan I am a fan of the subject matter having dealt with the urges my self for quite some time now. I attempted to read the book when I heard about the movie but I found it boring and chose to put it down. I don't even know how I just remembered the movie and went looking for it. It cost something like

Notice something there. There is nothing on IMDB about it coming out in America. I know this has happened before in the movie world. Can anyone chime in with an example.

To be fair , it's a small indie movie and those usually struggles to find US distribution and as the novel that the movie was based on was written in brazil so it's not that surprising that it was released in brazil but not in the US. Will probably end up as a dvd release.

Plenty of movies over the years that doesn't make stateside - Christina Ricci's the gathering (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=serB6Phu1OQ) , Jennifer Love Hewitt If Only (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XUHCGbP6d4A) (was shown as a tv movie instead years later) , Mira Sorvino's too tired to die (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YB2R6Xeh9Y0) and many other independent produced movies over the years. It generally end up as dvd releases.
