This is great.
Man I love when DiDio gets interviewed he is just so into his projects its grat. Omac seems like so much fun, and I'm really pumped for the cross over with Mr. Terrific.
The Nightwing villains an dDeathstroke villains sound awesome.
And Ivampire is going to be awesome I just know it.
My only question is where are all the other writers/artist. I want to hear about the other 38 books

Yeah watch the video. He said later on there will also be a crossover with mister terrific. But what if mister terrific gets cancelled?
Omac and Mister Terrific would work well together. If Mister Terrific gets cancelled, he should join OMAC as a supporting character.

Judging from today's news, looks like they're both getting cancelled.

probably not. DC let power girl run for a lot longer with lower numbers than these 2. And we still don't know how DC is evaluating books, you can't totally go by the first month sales. Omac and Terrific were ahead of several other popular marvel books.
And thats not even counting digital sales. So really a lot more has to be taken into account by DC than what fans generally perceive.
And a lot of the numbers are skewed due to returnability of certain titles. So they may actually have sold better than they did

Man, I repeat, Adam Glass looks like a pretty cool guy to hang out with.
Both Higgings and Lobdell really got me interested with theire descriptions... I also might check out Blackhawks.
did u watch/listen to the video?
He also mention Frankenstein.
what do you mean judging by today's news? the sales figures? OMAC may have been the lowest ranked, but it still sold like 40k *before* reprints. That's not cancellation territory.

I know, but the Fankenstein and Omac crossover is old news. We've known about that for weeks now. I'm excited about that as well, but its not really anything we didn't already know

The problem isn't the sales/shipment numbers themselves, it's the ranking.
What happens when numbers for all books eventually go through their gradual monthly decline and level-off? Which books are in danger of going first? It's not how much it's selling. It's how much it's selling compared to the other titles.
That's the problem. OMAC being ranked as litterally the worst-selling DCU book isn't helping its longevity, especially when it has to compete with the other 52 books.

That's the problem. OMAC being ranked as literally the worst-selling DCU book isn't helping its longevity, especially when it has to compete with the other 52 books.
Before the reeboot DC had several monthly titles they continued to sell that were not in the top 100. For example Wonder Woman or Power Girl. Some of this has to do more with the decline of the industry so sales numbers need to be readjusted accordingly. Also look at the marvel books that were beat out that will not get cancelled. Yeah numbers will readjust and probably go down in the coming months. But so far all the 52 numbers have been strong. And I'd predict that the certain issues in the top 50 are likely to have a bigger drop off than the lower ones.
But really all we can say at this point is the numbers look really well for most titles, there will probably be some drop off we can't safely evaluate what that will be yet. And this top 100 is very unusual for the incredible number of ones we have seen. So I'm not going to make any big predictions at this point
Moreover rankings aren't as important as sales. This isn't taking into account digital sales, and if a book is ranked #300 out of all the comics in a month, but is still selling 40,000 plus copies its not going to get cancelled

Why not? They beat some of Marvel's best books. And OMAC has had some of the best reviews. I suspect well be seeing a change by the second and third month. I don't expect Green Arrow to be so close to the top.

Hasn't it been stated that (due to pressure from Warner) the new policy is that all of the books have to 'hold thier own weight' or be cancelled, and that they're taking on a policy that more resembles Marvel's?
Pressure from the higher-ups in Warner regarding DC's balance sheet has even been cited as one of the reasons that the relaunch happened in the first place.
Why not? They beat some of Marvel's best books. And OMAC has had some of the best reviews. I suspect well be seeing a change by the second and third month. I don't expect Green Arrow to be so close to the top.
Again, the problem isn't the rankings of titles from other publishers (including Marvel), it's the rankings of the other DC titles. That and the lower-and-lower sales of the post-#1 issues, due to the eventual levelling-off. The lowest-ranked DC titles will have less of a chance of surviving than the DC titles ranked above them. That's why the rankings compared to the other DC titles are important.

So in Hawk and Dove we have a villain who's a centrist mad scientist who plans to drop super-powered zombies on Washington DC.
...
Okay, now I'm curious about this book.

Well, Adam Glass looks really passionate about his work, I'll give him that. SS #1 turned to be better than I expected (I expected a complete crapfest so saying that it was better is not saying much).
And Sterling Gates looks like he really knows what he's doing, can't wait to see more of Hawk & Dove (Liefeld's art, not so much). Gates' writing is like Johns' before becoming a superstar.
