What is he from, anyway? Everyone seemed to know his name in the cover reveals thread, but I've never heard of him before. Marvel Wikia doesn't know anything, either.

I think some of our CBR peers just dubbed him "Brood Baby". We'll learn more about this new X-man in a few months.

I see some comparisons here.
1. The person made of gas contained in a suit (Kitty-Bubble-Boy).
2. A sassy black girl (Idie-Angel).
3. A telepath (QQ-Floating Brain).
4. A deadly warrior skilled in fisticuffs (Logan-Beak)
5. Baggage that serves as wallpaper for the scene. Maybe contains useful stuff inside but no one really cares (Iceman-Purple Backpack)

What other parallels do we have? Team effort!

I applaud Aaron for including an Astonishing character.
Its nice to see that series actually tie into continuity for a change, rather than living on outside the rules of time and space.

I haven't followed that storyline, but I plan to check it out now.

The sad part is I honestly hope it happens I am sick of Hope Summers.
Hope Summers pseudo evil mind controlling Jean Grey wanna be($5 Jean returns and fights an evil hope only to die again)
