Happy Birthday, Aquaman!!!

Aquaman made his character debut seventy(!) years ago today, September 25th. The Aquaman Shrine has a nice tribute to the Sea King featuring several people involved with the character in some way. So how do YOU plan to celebrate?

I'm going to pick up issue one in three days. Good thing I preordered it, since my store's already sold out due to reserve orders. Ever since Friday, at least.

drink a whole bunch of this beer my landlord brewed. In the process of doing this drinking I will be separating the water from the other tasty beer ingredients. Later when I return this water to the world Ill be thinking of Aquaman too.

But yeah, for sure I'm going to celebrate by buying the first issue of his new series on Wednesday. Maybe give my fish a little extra food, perhaps see if I can talk to her by putting my hands on my temples. It probably wouldn't hurt to send a donation to a non-profit dedicated to ocean conservation issues, like Oceana or Seafood Watch either.

I plan to buy the comic this week. It'll be the first Aquaman story I've ever read.
