The answer is yes they could and would probably beat the sentinel.The real question how likely would Idie,Hope,Anole,Prodigy,Pixie,Transonic to escape the fight unharmed or alive

Velocidad - I cant think of anyway he'd be helpful.. Maybe distracting its blasts and then running away?
Primal - I dont think so.
Dust - Definitely, she could sneak inside it and try to mess with its inner workings.
Hope - Definitely
Transonic - She could at least carry Idie higher up and do damage with Idie from the air
Rockslide - Sure, he's got super strength, and he can reform if he gets hit, so he'll be pounding away at it for a while.

Anole - He punched his way through a sentinel in Mumbai with Rogue! He's not quite as useless as it might seem. If he can climb up the side of it while others are attacking, and pound his way through with his super strength.
Judas - Who?
Wolverine - Duh
Prodigy - Yeah, he's pretty useless here.
Pixie - If she cant teleport, then she's kinda useless too. She can fly, but a Sentinel wont have any hallucinations, and a soul-dagger seems pretty useless here too.
Quinton Quire - Useless
Hellion - Definitely very useful! He could do it on his own if his powers are as strong as his Age of X self, and Dr. Rao says they are, so really, all you need is him.

So yeah, I'd say with the exception of Prodigy, Pixie, Primal, Velocidad, and Quentin, everyone left WOULD have a chance of fighting it off. Or at least hold it off until everyone else got back. But either way, it wouldnt be a slaughterfest.

Yeah, I really don't see hthe Logan and Scott argument having any validity with what they got at hand. Experienced or not, it's not a big deal. Even if there was a bomb, couldn't a TK field hold it off? Hope and Hellion could handle it.

This whole thing seems an easy fix just by the simple equation of:

Hope + Handy Mutant = Can handle it.

Hell, Idie came up with a pretty reasonable idea to stop the Sentinel, I'm sure if Wolverine hadn't just went all projectiony cause he killed his stupid bastard kids, they could've come up with a way to execute it without having to sacrifice Idie's life.

Transonic is utterly useless. Pixie can airlift massive heft like THING and WOLVERINE, she can easily tote Idie about, leaving Idie free to murder enemies to her heart's content.

Besides, Laurie is a locker room cancer. Divisive.

That's not taking into account Hellion's AoX upgrades, and Hope's previous amplification of his powers. At "worse" we might lose one of them... so I'm still not seeing how that would be a considerable lost either way.
