Simple question . . . since there only seem to be six DC Kids books being published regularly, which (if any) do you buy at present?
(Also feel free to comment if you buy the title(s) regularly or infrequently, or if you tried any but don't feel they're worth buying.)

I see some people are voting, but anyone care to explain why they voted for what they did? Especially people who choose "none"; have you tried any of the titles and just aren't interested enough, or have you never thought about buying any of these books?
Despite the fact they're aimed at a more general audience and are supposed to be more kid-friendly, that doesn't mean it's like having to watch Teletubbies or other strictly-juvenile TV programs.

I voted for Brave and the Bold, Tiny Titans and Young Justice.
In all honesty though, I wish DC would expand their kid's line to at the very least about ten titles. I know I would get each and everyone as long as they're good.

Not buying any. Never considered buying any.
Just not what I'm looking for in comics, although I was tempted when I saw Hawkman making a guest appearance in one of them a few months back. I just didn't end up acting on it.

I bought 3 or 4 issues of Tiny Titans for my 3 year old to have. He can't read them yet and it's still a bit hard for me to read them too him because of the paneled layout but I let him play with them and pretend to read them.
He does sit there and look at all the pictures though. He can point out Batman and Superman though which is pretty awesome.
My LCS has a neat idea on 3 years old reading comics. Just let them do what they want with them. I might cringe at each wrinkle and crack in the spine but them him do what he wants with it. It'll get him into comics and reading them eventually. He sees me reading them so it'll help with the "I wanna do what Dad does" phase :)

That would be in Batman: Brave and the Bold No. 9.

This is a series I'm really enjoying . . . Sholly Fisch has been writing fun stories that are probably more throw-backs to the feel of the pre-CoIE DC Universe and often have guest appearances thrown in by unexpected characters (like Doll Man, Angel & Ape, Merry the Gimmick Girl, etc). His Hawkman in this issue was more like the Katar Hol I grew up on as a kid, before Hawkworld and all the late 1980's+ changes that resulted in a very confusing character.

My interest in the kids titles is just as great as my interest in the Vertigo titles.
In other words, I have no interest in them at all.

I'm a big fan of Brave and the Bold, Tiny Titans, and Billy Batson before it got cancelled. In fact, BATB might be my favorite Batman comic after Inc.
I read Brave and the Bold and Tiny Titans in trades and I love them both.

I selected Scooby Doo and Young Justice because I have bought some copies for my 4 year old. I am sure I will read them at some point, but I can't comment on the quality yet. He seems to enjoy them though.

I would probably pick up Brave and the Bold if I weren't buying so many titles at the moment. I've always enjoyed Batman Adventures and animated adatptionts to comics.

Aw Yeah Titans!
Scooby-Doo is better than expected.
My three-year old enjoys getting both these books, even if he doesn't read them. He does like looking at the pictures.

I honestly never even knew Rex and Ben had their own comics. I thought they were just the shows. I love both franchises so I might pick some up off Amazon.

Hey, just having a young pre-reader get in the habit of looking at the material and turning the pages is a great start! Also, if children can begin looking at the pictures, trying to decide what is happening and predict what will happen next is good to develop skills of reading comprehension.
(And having an adult read the book to the child also helps instill both a love of reading and a growing vocabulary!)

I'd buy Supegirl: Cosmic Adventures in the Ninth Grade, but unfortunately DC hasn't taken the hint. :evilangry:

You've taken the words straight from my fingertips.
I have sampled an issue or so of Looney Tunes, but it's not really my thing. Unless it's capes or swords, I'm a hard sell.

There are a couple of capes-related titles (Batman: The Brave and the Bold and Young Justice). Have you tried either of them?
(And I guess Tiny Titans could also fall in the "capes" column, though it is definitely more humorous and light-hearted. )

Agreed. Its been a quiet secret since 'The Batman Adventures' debuted to capitalize on the original animated series back in the early 90s that the animated books are consistently excellent, done-in-one, books.
What I loved about 'The All-New Brave and the Bold' #9 is that the writer was able to succinctly explain Hawkman's origin and situation in a page when others (I'm looking at you Tony Daniel) look the other way because it is too complicated.
Issue 13 with all the Robins (including Stephanie Brown! w00t!) looks to be epic.
